Update @ 1713: Musharraf leaves for Saudi Arabia

President General Pervez Musharraf has left Pakistan for a brief visit to Saudi Arabia. He was received at the Al Riyadh International Airport by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faisal, Prince Muqurin bin Abdul Aziz and other officials.

Yesterday there was speculation that the presidential palace was the scene of some ‘heavy packing’ and someone was in a rush to move out. I stress this information can not be fully verified and may remain as a rumor, as only time will tell if this brief trip might transform into an extended stay.

you mean running away? if its true then not bad but trust me Pakistanis would be more happy to treat him with “Jootay” rather just letting him go.

I do not think he is running away, perhaps a clandestine meeting between him and the great bald hope?

It seems he is now hell bent to derail BB’s rise to the top, or who knows… a last ditch attempt to sway those in the white halls through oil dipped handshakes maybe.
