Aitzaz Ahsan Rearrested for One more month



free-aitezaz-ahsan_smaller.jpgPresident of Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan came out of his home in Lahore on expiry of the date of his detention but was immediately placed under house arrest again after an order issued by Punjab Home Department.

“I have not made any breach of the detention orders, but according to the order my detention is now unlawful and unconstitutional, he said. “I have not been shown new written orders. The police officials said that the government has issued detention orders of the prominent lawyer, according to which his detention has been extended by one month

    BBC is reporting tha Justice Bhagwan Das is detained again after he addressed lawyer rally today, he was supposed to go to Islamabad but was not allowed and told to stay at home for “his own security”.

    Pathetic work of authorities.. they dont understand arrested aitzaz is more dangerous then a free one….
    Now each member of civil society/students/professionals will become aitzaz ahsan….

    The government is totally confused and bewildered at the support Mr Ahsan has garnered in all sections of our society. They do not realize that shutting him up in his house further promotes his cause. Time will show that justice cannot be stopped by dictatorship.
