Bilal Musharraf Cashing in…

For what its worth, Bilal Musharraf the Vice President of ePlanet Ventures and the son of General (r) Pervaiz Musharraf, is seen negotiating a deal with Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Companies. It is just a normal business deal but the question that remains is What does the Pakistani Ambassador to Saudi Arabia have to do in all this?
Can we speculate that these are the last minute favors being cashed in by Pervaiz Musharraf before he is truly pushed out of office and into the awaiting millions of dollars of accumulated wealth and business ventures which he has strategically located outside Pakistan in the last nine years of his rule.

Musharraf should not have gone to China. They love eating p!gs and dogs. Bilal Musharraf Quereshi, why didn’t you stop your dad?
I hope they don’t eat Musharraf.
This is ridiculous. I mean, think about it this way:
Asad hires Bilal for his contacts. Bilal is not close to the prince himself, but he has ways of getting to him. So Bilal asks his friend, evidently the ambassador, to get him in contact with the prince. Obviously the ambassador would accompany the two business men to the meeting if he’s the one introducing them.
Yeah, it is a simplified way to look at it, and I’m positive it is the entire reason for his presence there. I doubt it’s that easy to meet a prince without contacts. I mean, have you even read this guy’s book? He definitely does not have time to spend on “insignificant” business deals when he could be somewhere else. Thus, it only makes sense for the Ambassador’s presence at the time. And do you guys have any idea who Asad Jamal is? Too successful to need government money. And seems too wise to get involved in any case. Look him up.
And ontop of that, even if it WAS a “scandal,” I doubt these people would be so CARELESS as to have a camera present at a time and allow it to be so publicized. Obviously they aren’t threatened by this conspiracy because there’s nothing to be threatened by.
- Sean
Folks, cool it – you guys are over reacting, this is nothing but a simple business deal taking place. As Sean mentioned, the Ambassador was probably the one who connected ePlanet to the prince. I would ask conspiracy theorists to cool it. No conspiracy to be found here.
Folks, just a simple question? How many other time the ambassador has carved out such opportunities for other Pakistani business men.
Well i DUno when we ppl will keep blaming these bloody politicians and generals. We are the one who choose them in the elections, so better no to cry dat much now! .. you all should face it n bear it. This thing will never end eva! i knw dat, so its better no to waste my tym in typing here.
~ DUno when we will end this Blame gAMe, when we know dat we Pakiz are killing each others n support no one except our relatives or fnds, we treat other paki bro n sis lyk our enemies~ — Duno when we will learn from China n INdia how they are progressing n how their YouTh is united! but In Pak youTh is bzy in SeXual activities , imaginary gf bf worLD huh!!..
Anywayz i m ending it ryt herE ! .. ThinK carefully evEryonE.. before posting nething!
i mean to say HOW LONG WE WILL KEEP BLAMING THESE BLOODY POLITICIANS AND GENERALS.
Well Well Son of dictator getting what ever he wants to is nothing new from Iajazul Haq to Humayun Akhtar and now this kid no matter how one justifies this is what the true face of dictator is a dictator is an usurper will anyone tell me how the boy got world class education in first place being a son of paki fauji how many of paki faujis son got themselves where the guys is given the salary of a fauji it is an impossible task to get into a good school in pakistan what to say of a foreign institute but ALL IS GOOD TRUE AND LEGAL AS FAR AS SON OF DICTATOR GOES
For you all who think polititians are Saint and everying person in Military is currupt. Please OPEN YOUR EYES. Musharaf is better than most politicians how keep lying to people of Pakistan like Nawaz Sharif. As per Geo news today, Rice prices have been doubled in last 15 days so where he is now and where is his add saying “in my rule, Aata was 7 rupee a kg” ??? These politicians in the name of Democracy, do all the same bad things they used to critizie their opponants, but give lam exceuses in sugar coated words and our paid media support them.
If anyone think that after few time people will hear shocking stories of curruption of Musharaf, it is not big deal. Anyone can make stories on table to justiify their existance. This is our history that every new comer says that former was currupt. If this is true that all the figures of economic growth and countries progress given by any former govt. may be false, then we dont have any meter to measure countries development and progress except we come out of our homes and see the roads, parks, buildings, hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, ports, markets etc. and if we are honest, we would have to accept that Musharaf did best of all those dumb politicians.
I know Musharaf is not a Saint, he may have made some mistakes but what alternate Paki’s have choosen is like choosing dacates for watchmaning against a good watchman who some times get asleep in nights. Always keep in mind that path is not important but the goal, so if country progress well in military or other rule, we don’t want to lick democracy.
If many of us (non-acturians) could understand what is right and what is wrong and could tell our parents then why couldn’t an acturian (factually-more-intelligent)? Is he kept unaware of what Daily Telegraph’s sonofabitch is doing with the state in general and the nation in particular!
My dear fellows, let us not forget that the latest Mughal Emperor was found begging on the streets of Yangoon and we should hope and pray the same in favour of the plunderers and those interest groups who seek to gain advantage over the cost of national interest! Needless to remind the inability of our rulers, especially military rulers, to learn lesson from history.
in all sincerety, i would like to congratulate bilal on his incentives to draw investments into Pakistan. Also for all you people who have problems with his way of doing things.
Do we remember bilawals birthday where a place of PIA ws sent to dubai to get MC Donald sandwiches. Have we forgotten the ferrari that nawaz sharifs kid drives in UK. At least bilal got a scholarship and paid the rest from his money he saved as an acturist. Unlike hassan sharif, whose fees was paid by that company that was bankrupted soon after takeover of musharraf.
We forget easy, the times of these rogue politicians and the reason why we had musharraf. if the international events of 911 have made the world a different place and the general was not able to deliver to his promises he made when he came to power, it is understandable. We have seen the british, American, spanish leaders all loose their public image towards protecting their country. but for us to go about and aimlessly point fingers at others is sic downright.
Get a life, look outside the box. just because every one in your family was raped once does not make you a bastard…
ePlanet has failed in every project it has attempted in Pakistan. It was given 10 acres by DHA Karachi 3 years ago and all they needed to do was pay US% 5 million to the Defence Housing Authority which they failed to do. That project was sold in the public while the land got confiscated from them. ePlanet is not a name that holds any credibility in Karachi…I can tell you that from first hand experience.
Secondly, ePlanet attempted to purchase 200 acres in Clifton, Karachi. They committed an amount of US$ 200 million and were unable to pay. Again, the project was taken away from them and is now either with Aref Habib Group or Nakheel from the UAE.
Finally, ePlanet’s office at Park Towers in Karachi was a beautiful 5,000 square foot office. Unfortunately, they couldn’t pay the telephone bills, electricity bills, the rent, or their employee’s salaries. If you went to their office you would see a bunch of notices outside their door. I don’t think that ePlanet even has an office in Pakistan anymore and I’m 100% sure that if you ask anyone in Karachi about them, they will tell you not to do business with them. I would have hoped that Bilal Musharraf would have chosen a more reputable group than this one to take with him to Prince Waleed…..I personally would be ashamed to associate my name with this company in Pakistan. The CEO in Pakistan was Navaid Yusuf……I just don’t get how they can pitch such big projects in Pakistan when they can’t even afford to pay their employees. All their employees finally left after losing several months pay and hope that this company would ever come back into operation….what the heck is going on with Bilal Mush?
Oh please, speculation all around! We’re saying such things as if the pure politicians haven’t done anything. We know how an exiled PM sold a land gifted to him in KSA, and now hez vying for the judiciary. Isnt it?
Blames apart, that was just an example and not meant to pinpoint. Bilal Musharraf is a highly educated and respected person. And he is ALSO the son of the honorable President of Pakistan (whether someone likes the president or not is a different issue!). So, the protocol (probably).
Then, it has NOT been proven so we should stop speculating.
Utter nonsense!
Dear all sick people who hate Musharraf just for nothing….
Just read “Zyxius” comments above with OPEN EYES & MINDS (if you have any), It clearly reveal that Musharraf DO NOT SUPPORT HIS SON OR HIS COMPANY AT ALL otherwise if Bilal was sone of Nawaz Sharif or Zardari, eplanel would have purchased everything is Pakistan… What u bastards say now ????
Ali Murad…you make a good point. The picture is quite clear that ePlanet could have been given a lot due to the Bilal Mush connection but it wasn’t. My concern is why Bilal Mush or even the Big Mush for that matter are associating with such a shady company which has ripped off everyone it came into contact with in Pakistan. Ask any estate agent in Defense Karachi about ePlanet and they will tell you that its a group of scam artists. It gives fuel to the fire when you don’t take care about who you associate with and we all know there are enough people who want to blame Mush for anything and everything under the sun. My recommendation to Bilal M would be to seek out a more reputable company and associate with them. Afterall, if Prince Waleed agreed to put up money…the last thing you would want would be for Asad Jamal to screw up the project and bring a bad name not only to the Musharraf’s, but also to our country.
When PIA’s flight for Dehli could be kept on waiting in 1998 by making reason of technical problem and harrassing pessengers , as Huusain Sharif had to go to finalise his father’s business deal for sugar mill. So what is the problem? if Mr. Bilal got special protocol.GEO Musharaf, a dictator who left lesson to all politicians how to do politics.Pakistan Zindabad.
i had heard so much abt this web page from so many different sources n thought mayb its worth a penny but seeing how moderators are publishing stories here i can’t say if my views are same any more. criticism is good but baseless criticsim?i thought i was coming into a community of learned men/women but well quite disappointed. as far as all this speculation is concerned its utterly absurd!!totally ignorant and vile.
Get a job people. How come you say -ve things about Musharraf. Go find +ve things to do. Always blaming ‘others’ but munching on biryani.

Bilal Musharraf,
Can you please post the award winning dance of your grandma on youtube. She is said to be quite a dancer in the book, In the Line of Fire.
Please share with the rest. You need not be afraid of the stupid mullas. It is the era of enlightened moderation.
I was dissappointed that your dad did not share intimate details of his relationship with Rashid Quershi and his wife un the Line of Fire. Some photographs and accounts of this very close relationship would be nice too. I am a big fan of your dad!
Musharrf ka jo hami hai
Haramai hai harami hai
Masroor, Your facts are nothing but lies. there are more people today under the poverty than there were in 1999.
It is so unfortunate that hating a person we cross all limits. Pakistan Army has manpower around half million and around 200 generals at any time. This half million strength is patriotic and living hand to mouth financially. They sacrifice thier confort for the security of everyone of us. Has anyone ever calculated as to how many soldiers give their life in mountains of Kashmir and glaciers of Siachen.
Please do not blame millions of patriotic soldiers for the sake of few. They need respect for what they do which very few other will do.
Regarding corruption, in half million, you can always find few corrupt as soldeirs are not angels either. How about other sections of society.
This is a case of BUGHZ E MUAVIA and not HUBBE ALI.
The verse above was not directed at anyone. This was chanted at teh lawyers’ convention.
As for the army, it was the most oppressed institution during Mush era. He treated the army as his fiefdom where generals were treated like personal slaves of Musharraf.
“Love Pakistan” you need to apologize for even implying that the lawyers said what they said about the Pak army. We should leave Pak army out of these discussions.
I don’t proudly report what I heard at the lawyers’ convention. But, such rhetoric must be reported to the public. They can make their own conclusions then, whether such rhetoric is justified or not.
Nawaz Sharif: A History Of Ingratitude
Mr. Sharif is not as innocent as he portrayed himself to be. If Mr. Sharif wants accountability, let’s open all the books.
By MIRZA ROHAIL BAIG
Saturday, 14 June 2008.
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—If you are one of the Pakistanis who applauded former prime Nawaz Sharif when he addressed a crowd of deranged lawyers and paid hungry supporters – who turned the most expensive piece of property in the heart of Pakistan’s federal capital into an open air toilet last night, then you should know that Mr. Sharif is not as innocent as he portrayed himself to be.
This is a guy who went shopping in Washington DC for a U.S. $ 25,000 watch as brave Pakistanis died fighting for their honor in Kargil, a battle that Mr. Sharif ensured we lost because he was busy in a personal fight with the nation’s military leaders.
Mr. Nawaz Sharif’s record is so embarrassing that, in another country with educated voters, he would never be reelected by the people.
His record includes unforgettable lapses and mistakes, each of them worthy of an inquiry commission that could disqualify him for life:
1. This man declared emergency after the May 1998 Nuclear detonations. Under the pretext of sanctions, he swallowed up the nation’s $10 billion foreign reserves. No questions asked and no accountability since!
2. This man, Nawaz, siphoned off millions of dollars of the money collected under the ‘Qarz utaro mulk sanwaro’ scheme where he appealed to the Pakistani nation’s patriotism and asked everyone to donate money to pay off the national debt. No accountability so far!
3. This man was shopping for $25,000 Philip Patek watches in the United States when our brave soldiers were dying in Kargil. No shame!
4. This man built a 2000-acre Raiwind palatial complex for himself and his family when our nation was contributing to the “Qarz utaro mulk sanwaro” scheme to pay off the national debt.
5. This man Nawaz is a PROTEGE of past military rulers who turned him from a dumb, Nehari-loving imbecile into a leader. General Imtiaz brought him from Dubai. General Jillani and General Zia-ul-Haq groomed him. Lt. Gen. Hameed Gul created for his an entire new political party, the IJI. Today he makes fun of the military. It says something about his character. He is an ungrateful person, someone we call EHSAAN FARAMOOSH in our language!
6. He is the first ruler in the history of Pakistan and maybe the world who ransacked the Supreme Court building and unleashed the private armed thugs on Shahbaz Sharif’s payroll as a private Sharif Militia and used them to stone the building of the Supreme Court and chase out its judges who dared to challenge his actions in 1997.
7. More than 80 complaints of corruption and misuse of authority were pending at different stages of inquiry, investigation and trial against former PM Nawaz Sharif when he was granted pardon by the president and went into a self-chosen exile. The complaint said Nawaz Sharif did not mention in his declaration of assets in the nomination form for NA-12 in 1997 that he owned a helicopter. It was alleged that he did not pay duties of Rs. 30 million on this machine. Don’t take my word for it, check this news story: http://www.millat.com/ghalibcom/events/nawaz%20exile/80_cases_pending_against_nawaz_b.htm
8. According to a report:
8.1 Rs. 1.5 billion loan was taken out by the Sharif brothers against the security of their company, Ittefaq Foundries
8.2 Rs. 302 million were obtained for Brothers Sugar Mills
8.3 Rs. 92 million for Brothers Textile
8.4 Rs. 392 million for Brothers Steel Mills
8.5 Rs. 102 million for Ramzan Sugar Mills and Khalid Siraj Textiles each
8.6 Rs. 385 million for Ittefaq Sugar Mills
8.7 Rs. 368 million for Ittefaq Textiles and
8.8 Rs. 239 million were loaned to Ittefaq Brother.
9. The Nawaz family which is now one of the richest in the country largely due to the largesse of Pakistani banks has unveiled its one billion rupee Raiwind Complex. Spread over an area of around a thousand acres it houses palatial residences, a 300 acre farm, a 500 bed hospital, a school, a medical teaching facility, 200 acre dairy farm, a 350 line telephone exchange, Polytechnic institute, Nursing and Midwifery school etc. The Sharifs who must really be minting money have built it all in 17 months at a cost of Rs 740 million. The Punjab government headed by a Sharif has chipped in by providing government-funded roads and forcibly purchasing land for papa Sharif. http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/Lobby/2423/20.html
10. Nawaz is currently Pakistan’s 4th RICHEST MAN in the list ‘Top 40 Richest Pakistanis’.
11. Nawaz has asked for Pakistan to open permanent border with India, VISA-FREE! Why doesn’t he simply call for making both one & same country? This way he’ll get an endless supply of Indian music DVDs that he so loves!
Finally, when Nawaz’s son was suspected of having blood cancer and needed treatment in London, Pervez Musharraf violated his own 10-year agreement with the Saudis and ordered the Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh to provide the Sharifs with passports on humanitarian grounds.
Musharraf again put the exile agreement aside and helped Shahbaz Sharif get treatment in New York.
In comparison, Mr. Nawaz Sharif could have shown magnanimity and rise above petty revenge and address the real issues facing Pakistan, internally and in the region.

i read the first few comments and then i gave up. much respect as i have for your views and even the news you post here and at KMB – even if i seldom agree with your perspectives – this post is precisely the kind of thing that gives freedom of speech a bad name. the way you’ve speculated here is nothing short of slander.
The owner of this blog is the son of a political activist who is funded by Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif! I expect nothing but disgusting remarks from him.
What sort of a defense of Musharraf is it, to attack Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan. Musharraf is a murderous traitor who should hang, no amount of bad deeds by any politician justifies what Musharraf has done,
Any information what kind of business deal was it?
ePlanet Ventures is a registered corporate entity in US which has all the rights of doing business in Saudi Arabia and build good relations. I don’t see any problem with it. And I see it unjustified when we relate Pervaiz Musharraf with this business deal.
Yes, using Pakistani resources (Pakistani Ambassador) ‘could’ be wrong. I see if he was there as Pakistani Ambassador then yes, it was wrong. But if he was just there as Shahid Karimullah for an introduction or for a reference, I don’t see any problem with it too.
So it depends what is the capacity of his involvement.
How can we bluntly speculate or term it being unlawful when we don’t have all the information? I believe we cannot! Simple. We should be fair enough in publicizing our deductions for a lill halchal and make things more spiced up, no? :)
Bilawal zardari met with China ,India,USA heads in biejing and in these meetings Pakistani prime minister, and all delegation were present there.
On this meeting wat you say Mr Teeth Maestro
Just stay away to barking against Great Musharaf.
well let us that all the dynasties have there crown princes and crown princess. the same case is here and as you know pakistan from begining is run by fuedels and they come in diffrent shapes and numbers. and from the begining all these guys could do id collect and transfer. and use pakistan name and his honour to invite investors and agian collect in name of the PEOPLE and agian transfer. some one tell me when the revolution will come. and i am pretty much sure the dynasties will be wiped out.
Nothing wrong with Fauji’s they Always save our country and their families deserve good treatment.Musharaf was a great Leader and Soldier, As a Pakistan President we all should respect him. Musharaf Zindabad
It was Musharraf Era when some Masajid and Imam Bargahs were blasted(Masjid-e-Hyderi & Imam Bargah Ali Raza. The whole nation was in peace except a minority sect who was a victim .These actions were ignored as it was not a matter of Muslims ummah and avoided by saying that “A Muslim Can’t do this”while it was Musharraf’s era no one stood against Musharraf :).My whole Pakistani nation leave this small whole remained opened and not a single voice was there for those victims who were being killed because they were not muslims.Of course U.S and Israel lobbies were behind this and were using these Talibaan but no one was accepting. Now, two days ago Molvi Umer openly confessed the blast of POH, Wah Cantt. Now, my dear nation face it …its your turn now.Talibaan are muslims and be get slaughted by your muslims brothres and remember Musharraf was doing right thing.
Bull biscuits! Are we jealous!?
I LOVE MUSHARRAF

I MADE MANY TYPING ERRORS HERe is A BETTER VERSION
You know what. Some one here said son of fauji get good treatment . Dude u wont grow up ..When you are in a company for 30 years u get benefits. But if the same benefit a Fauji gets its a sin.Dont come up that you pay the taxes. If you pay the taxes you get safety. They Generals who work in NATO there sons get even there electricity bill paid(i have a friend whos father work in NATO).Its just cheap just blaming the whole armed forces for few Generals. If its so easy to get into army then y dont you also apply but know wht will happen you might get rejected in ISSB and then u will say “no no only son of army officers can get in”.SO cheap ..
I pity our so called political and military leaders like Gen(R)MUSH,who kept barking’Pak First’fo nine years, but here he proved to be a big lier to have put his Son Bilal & his family first and pakistan later like other big richs Zs/NSs,having created political cum economic anarchy/cheos due to their own making and fighting the war of USA to
just make more dollars.Whose main aim is to weaken Armed forces of Pak,in line with Indian/Israel planning to ultimately destroy pakistan & it,s strong Army.I request 170 mns Pakies to wake up and dont elect such greats out to sell us & our Pakistan. Thanks
i agree with Bilal. but just to add a little….. if you pay the tax, FAUJIs also pay tax … even with their meagre income resources. and the main point is that many of us civilians find ways to evade paying taxes but FAUJIs don’t even do that coz it is cut from their pays automatically. so folks stop blaming army and Musharraf, every one of us has done his bid to pull Pakistan down. It includes politicians, so called TAX PAYERS as well as the LAWYERS.
Peace to all
Could I get the email address and phone number of Mr. Bilal Musharraf I have some new business ideas to deal with him.
Salam to all there.

Nasir Hashmi.
musharaf dude was the best. a true patriot
can i get the postal address of Mr musharaf.
he a true leader & a patriot.i want to send him a letter in this hour
when he is facing so many challenges
Folks, this is nothing time wasting spinning of spin doctors from core issues of the country. We have to stick to our core issues that are the problems of “Roti, Kapra aur Makan”. Take this as an example, if need to have a business deal with the prince, you definitely need a channel and if you know the Ambassador personally, wouldn’t you request him to make it happen and accompany you so that the “Prince” give you extended time and importance?
