Blog Action Day 2008: POVERTY

In barely 40 odd days the blogger community throughout the world will rally together in one voice attempting to redirect the world’s attention towards an all important issue of poverty. Pakistan is undoubtedly has a huge issue of poverty and we must take this opportunity to bring forth our issues in a bugway. I would suggest that on the 15th October bloggers across Pakistan must pin point important issues related to poverty and share their experience trying to highlight this issue locally.

Once you are committed to the effort register your blog/website on BlogActionDay.org and then remember to make a post on 15th October.

Pakistans People Party is here. Its the party
    for the poor.

In a few short months it has done wonders to
    increase its constituency.

It will always enact programs to make sure that
more people become poor as fast as possible.

Democracy to which we think a solution of mankind is just an illusion. There can be no freedom or democracy when mass media and education are tightly controlled. This is rather Plutocracy which handicapped Judiciary so they may get a Carte Blanche to do whatever they want to do in the guise of democracy.
Plutocracy is root cause of all our institutions subversion, rich and poor wide difference and economic inequality which won’t be reduce as our gullible public think so.

There are multiple issues that are contributing in the world poverty and depending on the particular circumstances of the country at any given time any one of the following are more or less prominent factor in that country’s predicament.

    1) Rich nations’ manipulations and unfair politics and practices via UN-World Bank-IMF
    2) Overpopulation
    3) Corruption (financial and Political) and in that I will favoritism, nepotism, outright theft of government and public assets
    4) Political disturbance, violence and law and order breakdown
    5) Bad governance (weak ministries, institution, judicial systems and bonehead politicians)
    6) Lack of human resources (politicians devoid or morals and vision, technocrats and advisors that are working for international powers and have no interest in the country)

In the case of Pakistan there are no good guys till now, among the parties PPP(Z) has the unique distinction of even corrupting socialism…there you have it

The general trend of this blog has been that we never censor comments based on political or ideological point of view. But to bring a little sanity in the debate we strongly frown upon comments that are abusive, off-topic, use foul language, resort to racial attacks, use caps-locks, habitual flamers are shown the door especially those commenters who resort to ad hominem attacks are definitely deleted when caught.
