The Express Tribune goes Online & in Print

The Express Tribune, partnered with The International Herald Tribune which is the global arm of The New York Times, is slated to finally make its debut today morning, while the online version has just been released to the public, the initial launch is limited to Karachi and many households will be treated with a fresh new English paper on their morning tables. Personally I do vividly recall the launch of ‘The News’ in the 80’s when it came hot off the press in a spanking, then, jaw dropping glossy sheets across the board, but unfortunately those fun frolicking days didn’t last long. The Lakhani group has been busy on this project for a good many month, under the watchful eye of Bilal Lakhani we await to see if it does indeed rustle the feathers of the existing competition and has the umpf to last in the long run.

The paper kicks of its first print with op-eds from Ayesha Siddiqa, Sami Shah, Quatrina Hosain and Osman Samiuddin with news that Zahoor’s cratoon-imagery is too be featured amongst its pages. On a personal note, I am also expected to send the paper a weekly column, so lets see how this papers fares up against the competition, it will have run for its money, but good quality and high standards will keep a stead stream of readers latched onto its print edition.

I must admit that at first glance the online version of the paper http://tribune.com.pk is quite pleasing to the eye, compared to the confused mysticism found on Dawn.com and archaic The News website, I find this site easier to navigate, for which I can be sure credit must go out to Aleem Bawany whom I know is definitely a part of the core online initiative. Here’s to The Express Tribune for a long and fulfilling life in this journalistic world

Its good you give introduction to new online venture of journalism but the way you compare it with Dawn and trying to let down status of dawn, it gives impression to reader like me about your biased attitude.

You have already made irrelevant criticism on dawn for quite trivial matters.

Dawn has is firm status in Pakistani journalism since the creation of Pakistan and maintained its standard in front of viewers and readers.

So such remarks on its performance for projecting other newly brand, looks quite abnormal.

Yes, a firm status as a mouthpiece of western propaganda.

Btw: Which "trivial matters" are you referring to?

The continuously Islam bashing by various baboo(n) column writers? or are you referring to journalists participating in parties with Americans or is it the biased interviews on Dawn TV?

It is indeed very encouraging to see new magazines being launched. This clearly shows the aptitude our nation is developing to be well informed. But it should be noted that all the magazines read by masses need to promote liberal, progressive and dynamic ideas to the public as food for thoughts. Hate-speech needs to be avoided.

    Who is bashing Islam?

Fazulrehaman ,JI and other MMA people who have got full strong support of miltiary or few writers of Dawn, whose language is only understandable to 2 TO 3% population of Pakistan.

Kindly give me name of any its column writer who in your point of view is bashing Islam.

Ayehsha siddique, I Rehaman,Irfan hussain, kamran shafi who looks you western mouth piece.

The marriage between JI and Army existed only in Zia time, rest of the Pakistan's history is filled with Pro-Western Facists enjoying the warm lap of (na)Pak Army.

“or few writers of Dawn, whose language is only understandable to 2 TO 3% population of Pakistan.”

Thank God that only 2-3 % understands these Trojan Horses.

More or less all the clumn writers at Dawn are the same lousy stuff. Just to name a few of the ugliest:

    – Nadeem F. Paracha

    – Irfan Hussain

    Dawn TV:

I have seen a hell of a job from Saima Mohsin when she interviewed Dr. Shireen Mazari. It could have been an interview by FOX News i.e. very harsh and biased against Shireen Mazari. Intimidating and interrupting Shireen M. and on contrary polite and subservient towards the gora master, and on top of that I came to know that she also attends parties with the Americans. Do I need to say more?

Btw: Do you work for a NGO?

    1. Al Avatar

@Observer: Nadeem Paracha & Irfan Hussain write just one column a week. They have their clear biases but you cannot judge the newspaper based on them alone. And most importantly their columns are in the Opinion section of the newspaper not hidden among news items – something which you cannot say about the other newspapers.

Jang & 'The News' are biased towards the other end. That is alright as long you follow an honest policy of segregating opinions from news stories. But 'The News' does not do so. Many times they carry opinion pieces disguised as news items on their front pages.

I think Dawn is the most balanced newspaper we have in Pakistan.

As for the Saima Mohsin interview with Shireen Mazari i agree it was really pathetic seeing her suck up to the foreigners.

Kanjar nadeem paracha is not an alien in dawn. most of the columnist and reporters exhibit their Islamophobia (although at much lesser degree than the Kanjar NFP) but any one can see the typical mentality based on islamophobia… proof? you can see a great deal of fuss over the issue of flogging but you wont see any thing except more than few lines over the issue.

I surely don't like his drugged dose personality but he has some talent for writing and dawn is using it.

saima mohsin looks to be raised in western county so what she does in her private life is none of our business, nor she is considered as top class columnist

Dont try to challenge the versatility of any society.Such different colors of human personality gives you understanding to different expressions and impressions of human minds and improve your level of tolerance for adjusting different mental approaches around you.

Following the typical mind set people halts your thoughts and you have become slave of typical and enclosed life styles.

Why did you bring in TheNews?

This is a typical Pakistani stance. The other part also does it….that's VERY unfortunate. Call a spade a spade. I am NO fan of The News either. My general opinion is that we have far too many yellow journalists. I suppose it's with the consent of the newspaper they act like yellow journalists.

    1. Al Avatar
      Al

I bought in 'The News' because you cannot discuss the quality of a newspaper in isolation. 'The News' is the main competitor to Dawn. You have to have a certain yardstick with which to judge anything.

We are talking about which is the best newspaper we have. And i think Dawn is the best that we have. They have their biases but every newspaper in the world has its biases. The good thing about Dawn is that they keep their biases mostly to their editorials & opinion pages. Their reporting is the most fair among the newspapers in my opinion.

If i want to know unbiased news i always read Dawn. The other newspapers like 'The News' have a habit of making news stories out of their wishlists. I don't know how many times i have read predictions in 'The News' by people like Shaheen Sehbai, Ansar Abbasi that Zardari will be removed in a months time or in two months time or in March…..

They just make up the stories & then sit and hope that they come true.

I have even lesser respect for these people because they are journalists & instead of reporting the news as it is they cloak their opinions & wishes within the articles & present them as facts from unnamed sources. Nadeem Paracha & Irfan Hussain on the other hand write opinion pieces & one may disagree with them but they don't engage in these dirty tricks.

Dawn is much better in that sense.

News doesn't not look more interesting after reading dawn.

The person who has interest in reading editorials and columns should be placed in the category of sensible person who has some interests other then local news.

Dawn has variety of columnists and one after reading few pieces of any writer can pick and choose for future reading.

Why I give explanation on the behalf of Dawn or cyril almedia.

If he wrote against Imran or N league then it is compulsory for them to write all kinds of objection raised against their regular columnist.

So you are against Dawn as his one writer writes something against Imran and his ideology.

So tell me who is biased you or dawn management.

I always praised Imran for his social work job but his 180 degree turns and somersault in politics sometime toward Musharraf or some time toward JI and gen gul like most corrupt icons in the history of taliban creation produces extreme confusion in his personality.

What ever JI did to him In PU during emergency 2008 was clear picture that where they place him.

He talks about change in system but his personal life speaks he is not following such rules .

His whole youth was passed like colorful lahori boy who has still strong relation with notorious yousuf slaehdin and we all know that what kind of the man he is .He is some kind of replica of gen Ranee in lahori culture.

And imran is still close ties with him

Again his typical status quo mentality was revealed when he married a typical richest British lady from Jewish origin much younger than his age,As long as they were bound together his wife and his two sons lived like elites who mostly spend their lives in high class British community.

Social works are part of celebrities life specially at teh end of theri professional tenures as they have become use to praising crows around them and when they found missing mostly opt for social works on the call of NGOs or organization too.

All know that by luck we had won the world cup cricket as the performance of team was throughout unpredictable since the start of first match.I also say that Allah had to give us a modern cancer Hospital setup through this world cup that is why our failed performance had turned to be unbelievable and in calculated victory which no doubt is helping many needy in serious trouble.

Like i said every newspaper in the world has its biases one way or the other. Agreed some of the instances you have quoted show Dawn's bias. But I still maintain compared to other newspapers it is the most unbiased that we have.

And it goes without saying that one should not take everything at face value & use our own minds.

Regarding the Aafia Siddiqi case, it has been blown out of proportion by the media & clearly a lot of facts are being ignored in the case. They have just been emotionalizing the entire issue.

Aafis Siddiqi's case is not so open & shut. While i think that she might have been framed by the Americans but the fact remains that if they wanted her dead it was very easy to just kill her & dispose of her body in Afghanistan. No one would have asked any questions.

The truth lies somewhere in between the American version of events, those given by her former husband and her uncle, & those peddled by the media.

Apart from the quality of Dawn I think we agree that we MUST read between the lines and look for alternative news and foremost THINK before making conclusions since most (if not all) media entities have their own agendas.

    1. Al Avatar
      Al

Leaving emotionalism aside what possibly could the US government achieve by putting her on a much publicized trial & face negative sentiments in Pakistan & its media. They have killed scores and scores of innocent people so if they wanted to get rid of her they certainly could. There is no logic in asserting that they couldn't have killed her. Why couldn't they? What has the trial achieved? If they wanted to interrogate her to get some secrets out they could have done that keeping her in several of the secret prisons they run in Afghanistan or Iraq. Instead they have created a symbol or resistance out of her & i doubt have gained anything in return.

It is not like being portrayed in the media that some random normal working lady going about her business was just picked up by the agencies & tortured & treated like the way she has been treated with mystery surrounding the whereabouts of her children. Her former husband & her uncle give some pretty contradictory accounts of her activities to what is being projected in the media. I think the truth lies somewhere in between. It is not such an open and shut case.

I think it is our hypocrisy as a nation that we are ready to over-politicize this case but remain quite & unaffected on so many equally reprehensible abuses of women & children that go on inside our own country at the hands of our fellow countrymen.

We are off topic. This is my last response in that regard.

I am not saying she is innocent, but what about her children. Are they also culprits?

I really don't have any clue about that. What bothers me is that Pakistanis are abducted/sold or whatever without any sense of security. Our local masters can do anything without any consequences. The alleged culprits don't get tried in Pakistan, but in foreign countries. Many African countries wouldn't tolerate that, but we do. IF she had done anything wrong she should have been tried and punished in Pakistan and nowhere else. Some reports say she is not a Pakistani citizen, then at least they should have ensured that she was judged and sent out through proper channels.

    1. Al Avatar
      Al

No her children are not to blame & neither am i saying that she is guilty because i simply don't know. The truth as always is the first casualty in the whole affair. The Americans have their own biased opinions & we have our own.

And anyways even if she is guilty of any terrorism or killing of innocent civilians no one deserves the torture & horrendous treatment that she has been meted out at the hands of intelligence agencies, both ours & the US's.

I agree with you. We should not hand over any of our citizens to any country. And neither should our intelligence agencies be allowed to pick up anyone they want to and keep them in illegal confinement.

My point is she has been made a symbol of resistance just because she is being tried in a US court. If a court in Pakistan had tried her & our intelligence agencies had been exclusively involved in her abduction & torture, no one of us would even know her name. And i think there must be many such Pakistani citizens who have met a similar or worse fate at the hands of intelligence agencies.

Lakhanis are currently having a hard time at the hands of NAB. Sultan Lakhani and his three brothers run this prestigious group and the chain of McDonald’s restaurants in Pakistan. NAB has alleged the Lakhanis of having created phoney companies through worthless directors and raised massive loans from various banks and financial institutions. Sultan is currently abroad after having served a jail term with younger sibling Amin, though the latter was released much earlier. NAB had reportedly demanded Rs 7 billion from Lakhanis, but later agreed they pay only Rs 1.5 billion over a 10-year period. Lakhanis, like their arch-rivals Hashwanis, are the most well-known of all Ismaeli tycoons. Their stakes range from media, tobacco, paper, chemicals and surgical equipment to cotton, packaging, insurance, detergents and other house-hold items, many of which are joint ventures with leading international conglomerates. Though Lakhanis are in turbulent waters currently, the success that greeted them during the last 25 years especially has been tremendous. They have rifts with large business empires despite being known fur their genteel nature. Whether it is any government in Sindh or at the Federal level, Lakhanis have had trusted friends everywhere, though the present era has proved a painful exception. Thirteen spymasters gather to stare at each other

By Azaz Syed Friday, 09 Oct, 2009 http://letusbuildpakistan.blogspot.com/2009/10/pa

On the night of Nov 27-28, 2009, my house in Wah, where my wife and daughter and I had come to celebrate Eidul Azha, was fired upon six times by a high velocity firearm, probably a Kalashnikov (on single shot mode) judging from the half-inch deep and two-inch across holes in the concrete wall of the bedroom above ours, possibly a Takharov 30 MM pistol, popularly known as ‘TT Pistol’ in the Land of the Pure. There was no sound of a motor vehicle driving away, suggesting professional hit-men who had probably parked their vehicle a way away towards the main GT Road and then calmly walked to it after doing their deed. There is more: at exactly 17:33 on Nov 28, 2009, I received a telephone call from a woman speaking in uneducated Urdu and using a mobile phone (0300-274-9185). She asked if I was Kamran Shafi. When I said I was, she said that what had happened to me last night was just the ‘trailer’ and that the complete movie would also be shown.

When I asked why any of this should happen, she said, ‘One does not spit in the plate one eats from’, and that if I was not careful about what I write I would soon see the complete movie. I am a pensioner of the Pakistan Army, getting the princely sum of Rs1,200 a month, by the way. FIR No 827 has been registered at the Wah Cantonment PS in which I have in an additional application said that I suspect an ‘agency’ of doing the deed. If owners [read Newspapers] discard old people [mostly low paid staff] then they shouldn't behave like holier than thou [editorial of newspapers often do that rather they are indulged in it and Daily Dawn is included which was founded allegedly by Jinnah and what a shame that the Chief Guest of DAWNTV opening ceremony was A MILITARY DICTATOR GENERAL MUSHARRAF, Jinnah the Barrister and a Democrat must be kicking himself in his grave] instead they should compare themselves with "Brothels" where aged Hussies are sacked. Shamelessly the Dawn talks about "Freedom Of Press" nowadays whereas after 911 one of its correspondent Faraz Hashmi asked a very embarrassing question from Musharraf in a Press Conference about the use and abuse of US Aid coming to Fight the so-called War on Terror and Musharraf [usually like a Khurpa] misbehaved with that Journalist in a live press conference and within two days Mr. Faraz Hashmi was attacked by "Unknown Persons" who brutally beat Faraz to pulp.

Why the Dawn Group forgotten the whole affairs when they invited Musharraf to inaugurate DAWN NEWS TV. Abdullah Hussain Haroon was about to become Governor Sindh in 1999/2000 but in the last minute Musharraf changed his mins and from the next day the Editorial Section/Opinion Section [often publish columns of Professor Ghafoor, Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Professor Khursheed and other Political Maulvis of Pakistan] in the Dawn started Guns blazing against Musharraf Regime. The born again Democrat Javed Jabbar [was information minister in Musharraf Martial Law Regime in 1999 /2000] when an Army Team in Uniform from KESC raided the Dawn's Office in Karachi to check the Electricity Theft and from the next day the Dawn Spider Magazine unleashed a campaign against Javed Jabbar [who is also now in Pildat and found everything bad in Martial Law and Musharraf after serving his cabinet like Shafqat Mehmood (writes in the News) and Mubashir Luqman (in ExpressNews and seeking faults in Musharraf Regime after serving his caretaker cabinet in Punjab). The PHPL [Pakistan Herald Publication Limited] took another somersault during the start of the last days of Musharraf and unleashed protest campaign in the garb of Press Freedom [I have compiled 4 part posts from Daily Dawn's own material kindly read and analyse yourself the level of third rate character of the owners of PHPL 1 – The Dawn Media Group & Violation of Journalist's Rights – 1

you talk like idealistic person and I dont know how you worked in IB like notorious department.Really on regular basis I hear that how people of IB are bribed(on demand) by locals for expediting their illegal and sometime for legal jobs too.

In matters of arms deal, car theft, loan defaulters, security agencies all people give regular bahatta to these officials.

Haron uses Jinnah name for marketing just like other influential people/group to impress others, same he might did to praise Musharraf for expanding his business ventures without any hurdle from MQM people who were align with Musharraf those days.

So there might be another reasons but instead of running to other countries and invest on western companies Harron like people preferred to shake hands with dictators for survival.

If I am not wrong Dawn was warned many times on Baluchistan issues and many times received threats not to cover Baluchistan area in Musharraf regime.

Kamran khan was twice attacked by knife in his start of career(done by mqm people) so he, perhaps would have made relations with influential groups to raise his middle class status.

So sometime working in harsh and brutal environment where any time you can be killed by unknown and no body will pursue for justice.People either prefer to run away to safe heavens or shake hands with alligators of drains.

Any how nobody can dare to challenge your on hand experience and it is valuable to learn the difference of personality behaviors(open and close) under your real observations

But half of it carries denials by the military. BTW: Why do they have to ask? Shouldn't they be "reporting" from the scene? (And don't miss the last part of the story: it tells us 13 more CIVILIANS were killed in another attack by the army — see how they hide the news?? 😉 )

Mughal you talk like idealistic person and I don't know how you worked in IB like notorious department.

MAM: I worked there for 11 years successfully and honorably resigned before 911. No department is notorious it is the personalities and their deeds which give bad name to the institution e.g. Islam and Masjid are not bad but followers could be.

Really on regular basis I hear that how people of IB are bribed(on demand) by locals for expediting their illegal and sometime for legal jobs too.

MAM: This is again not IB Specific because even the common Chungi Naka [Toll Tax Kiosk] is known for this.

MAM: Lets say that Dawn was warned on Baluchistan but then again read the date of Bugi's death and Musharraf's presiding the opening ceremony of DAWNNEWS.

I fully agree on your feed back and I have already told you that I have no point to negate you in your field.

I told you idealistic that you accept too much from people. You say(pl don't take personally)

I worked there for 11 years successfully and honorably resigned before 911

You resigned at this experience when people get control on their specific field and here you resigned.

You preferred you personal reasons on national duty or might be circumstances would have been created against you and you quit .

So resign itself from your post or duty is given up or retrieve back from your assigned responsibility.

Instead of this people or majority cant afford this give up and try to go for favorable options for their least survival.Financial constraints and typical eastern burden like responsibility can be one reason behind this moral defeat so people live wihtout knowing its consequences on the long run.

Institutes are recognized in any state by their repute and performance but personalities create differences even in notorious departments. One cant accept the lady of modesty from relight area and if exists there nobody would believe on her.

So I am just telling you on the basis of what I heard from locals.

You say kamran khan created drama.

You know when Karachi core commander was attacked in karachi clifton bridge I took same stance on this high profile drama where 15 solderer were killed and none of bullet touched gen ehsan and his son, just like sultan rahee.

In the same evening when in morning time that incident was happend, GEN visited in his black BMW to Karachi Clifton Agha outlet without any security and whole public watched his half glass down careless attitude.

So in country where dead bodies of innocent people are piled to creating drama , so why kamran cant do it.

His another achievements are remebered as

    Role in Benazir's Assassination Attempt

Days after the 2007 Karachi bombings, Benazir Bhutto in a letter to President Musharaf written on 16 October 2007 named Ijaz Shah as one of the four persons including the then chief minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the then chief minister of Sindh Arbab Ghulam and the former ISI chief Hamid Gul she suspected were behind the attacks.

Role in Syed Hammad Raza's Assassination

Government insiders also claim that Ex ISI Chief Ijaz Shah's name is constantly linked with the Syed Hammad Raza's Assassination Investigation and then swept under the carpet, "It smells of his Operation", whether directly or indirectly he is involved. Ijaz Shah in recent times has been known to be Musharraf’s right hand man and has been rumored to be involved in all his Covert operations that made him widely unpopular, Missing Peoples case, Sacking of Chief Justice, Syed Hammad Murder case, Indian terror attacks etc naming a few. Ijaz Shah has been rewarded generously since his alignment with Musharraf and is currently residing in Australia – Sydney after initially having his residency rejected due to terror links. The source further added since ISI are involved this case like all important cases will never be solved.

He and his brothers were awarded by luxurious bungalows in bharia town and during mulan aziz detention in malik riaz phase 8 guest house after lal mosque mishap he was regular visitor of maluana shaib in his private car convoy who was covering his black bmw

So again take my objection in light way that your country and organization has given you the best working conditions but again you prefer your personal reason and her is my point that things get misshaping when people give priorities to personal reasons on national objectives.

I told you your research work is excellent and you correlated it well with past realities and your country was badly in need of people like you if you say that everything was favorable for you.

I can assure you that I have no link with any outfits and you can consider me one of satisfied class of Pakistan whom country has given every thing and I am all time ready to offer my services on difficult situation and needy people to pay back my country and its people.

For this purpose sometime my personal security was on risk but my national responsibility overcome my personal interests and you got such a blunt truth that looks my link with an outfit.

He wasn't fir for the Intelligence Job because he wasn't cunning and mean. Brigadier Ejaz Shah was a cuckload [I am censoring the original slang] and once he indirectly helped Benazir and Zardari and that story was done by Kamran Khan against Senator Saif during the second tenure of Nawaz Sharif, glimpse of that story had republished –

      "QUOTE"

One source claimed that it was Ejaz Shah who was the head of anti-narcotics force in 1998, when the-then Nawaz Sharif regime tried to involve Asif Ali Zardari in a narcotics case through him. But he refused and later the Nawaz regime booked Zardari in the same fake case through the Punjab police. It is also viewed by some government circles that the head of a civilian intelligence agency is a soft target for the PPP and the real target is the boss of Ejaz Shah, who is no doubt General Pervez Musharraf. Believe me I have no interest about your job goals and activities of bosses as it is available in our media.

I am not interested what is your actual personal reason that you quit your job while working in comfortable environment and it is very rare in our govt circle.

My point is very very simple that it is all personal reasons that make diversions in the line of duty. Some touche height of selfishness and greed and some cover their head under sand and some are quit early after achieving excellence in their respective field.

Look mughal it is very easy to throw stones on alligators while standing on bridge but crossing river through different hide and seek methods and adopting changing methodology to counter worst on the way of crossing is more difficult job.

So in line of duty in our corrupt system people react differently which you always highlight very critically.

You know that rauf klausr, abassi like journalist have underground in contact with bureaucracy and these honest but hidden people leak inner stories to these journalists.

They are watching all corruption but know cant control it so they prefer to leak it to public.

So sometime people react like that and have no guts to afford confrontation.

People should be given benefit of doubts and even small kind of good act should be praised.

      ==========================

Least said is better because I know these so-called "Investigative Reports" are "filed" in the national dailies. I know because during services I often used to spend my times in the News Rooms of The News International, Jasarat, Weekly Takbeer and even Dawn. So please don't tell me about these Corruption stories [Half Truth].

That is again your personal way of thinking .

You cant integrate it for the whole system.People have serious liabilities, weak moments , Shaky personality and brittle faith on God and the would take no time to even sacrifice their state of honor in few jerks emerging from the system.

I know many women who are being physically and verbally abused by their husband, in laws on daily basis but due to weak back up and for securing their kids under father domain they kill standard of self respect and passing lives as normal human being.

I know many people working in harsh environment with rude bosses as they have strong net work of liabilities in the form of old and sick parents, extremely humble wives who cant manage to share the professional problems of husband and in this circumstances of solitary struggle for whole family they usually sacrifice their self respect and accept the direction of wind.

I have seen many humble wives and husbands who cant control the erotic desires of their flirtatious spouses and bury their state of honor just for passing time as they have co courage to tackle it.

And in some cases whole family support each other for difficult situations or many among them always look for loop holes to get short cut through all hook and crook ways in a life span. Here honour and self respect is consider as minor as possible.

Here I would like to give you example of shaukat aziz.he witnessed serious scams like sugar,LNG and fuel prices etc in his tenure but he never took any step toward public's welfare .If he raised any objection , he restricted to only PM and when PM didnt listen to him he resigned on the basis of saving his ego and self respect.

He was accepted position of minister, a representative of people in a govt.He was given by best incentives and lucrative offers during that assignment.

He has passed most part of his life in the best way of living but you see he has no courage to face the reality.

In recent LNG case it was efforts of rauf klausar and SC that raised this issue otherwise he has opted to run away like coward woman just for saving his new business ventures.

So I can put him in the case where people quit the resistance to save their soul from hardships a real duty which our dying nation is badly in need.

      Dear A1 and Ms. Nazia

I am not passing judgement on anybody, just trying to share what I saw very closely. By the way don't even take the name of Shaukat Tareen. I know what he is and I know him thoroughly since the day he was appointed as the President of largest Pakistani Bank i.e. HBL in 1997 by Nawaz Sharif. One of the reason of HBL's ruination is Shaukat Tareen [who was earlier in charge of only 300 employees of CITI BANK] and the [IMF/WB/CITI BANK BANKERS] Team he brought in with him in HBL to head an organization of more than 25, 000 employees and what he and his Imported Team did after that was inhuman to core. He brutally sacked more than 300 hard working Pakistani executives [who had given their whole lives in making HBL a profitable bank] in the name of Golden Handshake [READ IRON KICK], and Rightsizing and Downsizing and appointed bunch of "Imported Wife Swingers Executives from CITI BANK" (Shaukat Tareen is now a Billionaire thanks to the manipulation when he was in HBL].

The others who were sent from IMF/WB to ruin Pakistan during those days are as:

1 – Zubyr Soomro [Former Chief of UBL]

2 – Muhammad Mian Soomro [Former Chief of NBP]

3 – Dr Yaqoob [Former Chief of SBP]

4 – Dr Ishrat Hussain [Former Chief of SBP]

Please don't tell me about Shaukats [both of Tareen and Aziz] and their so-called Honesty.

I placed shaukat tareen like people as real traitors of Pakistan and they are real culprits of Pakistan who are reasons of actual downfall of economic development in our country.

His second tenure as finance minister

If HBL employees who preferred to take shake hand at that moment foresee situation and would have adopted rebellious attitude against shuakat tareen on the basis of technical reasons, situation could have been different but as you say they picked personal reasons instead of national duty which was to secure the national asset whom they have given their valuable time and energy.

Their easy way to shauakt aziz made him hero and he was projected as savior of HBL at that phase.

      Dear Ms. Nazia,

Yahi to museebat hai kay aap ko kutch pata nahin hai aur na hi aap sunnay ko tayyar hein.

They were forcibly removed [Tareen and Co handed them the Golden Hand Shake Letters and kicked their butts off] many of the senior officers suffered heart attacks and died on spot and same happened in UBL.

So you are telling me that these people had heart attack instead of reverting back unjustified acts of shaukat aziz.

I think these weak people have no resistance power on the basis of their experience and qualification.

When experience people are fired by illegal ways it means it is end of world for them??

They cant prove their credibility in any other company and banks.

I also met one president of HBL in these days living in gulshan iqbal area and he told me that golden shake hand was much lucrative offer as to carry on jobs on under pressure.

So please dont give me example of people who lose heart at first jerk.It is their weakness not strength standing against wrong doings

They could have prove their professional credibility by taking different options. They could have challenged tareen and co in courts as done by Steel mill in which every thing went against even president and prim minister too.

MAM: Its Shaukat Tareen and I am not telling you fairy tales , you can check the newspapers and Court Record.

I think these weak people have no resistance power on the basis of their experience and qualification. When experience people are fired by illegal ways it means it is end of world for them?? They cant prove their credibility in any other company and banks.

MAM: Hello! Ms. Nazia!!! Are you living in Pakistan or West? Do you know the Saturation in Employment in Pakistan???? Jobs are not available in market like two bit bubble gums.

So please dont give me example of people who lose heart at first jerk. [Nazia]

MAM: Have you EVER faced a situation when someone closer and loved one has lost his/her life due to the circumstances I mentioned above. Have some heart and if you cannot sympathize then at least don't pass judgment on somebody's misery.

It is their weakness not strength standing against wrong doings They could have prove their professional credibility by taking different options. They could have challenged tareen and co in courts as done by Steel mill in which every thing went against even president and prim minister too.

MAM: Courts, Judges, Lawyers: You wanted to know the Secrets of State so let me share only one: "one judge was under enquiry to be confirmed and elevate to the higher courts so he was standing outside his house without shoes to receive the Enquiry Officers [much lower in rank then the Judge] and that Judge addressing the Enquiry Officer "Yaar Accountability Court Mein Lagwado" – Another Top Lawyers [son of a top judge] who was being inserted in High Court "visited" an Office and offered a Broken Chair and Pepsi Cola [not even chilled] and he was behaving like a PIMP.

You want more? Be my guest.
