This post is to all wanders that happen to pass this blog of mine – I had to get this out of my system.
We at Alvi Dental Hospital are proud to have recently acquired a Dental-Surgical Microscope (Carl-Zeiss), a first ever for Pakistan infact the ‘only’ dental microscope in Pakistan. Its surprising that only 2% of all practicing dentist in the US, use this as a tool to achieve perfection, while the worldwide percentage is barely in the fractions.
The microscope is used to do dentistry at 24x magnification, which is a substantial leap from the 1x by the naked eye (which most dentists use) or 3x with magnification glasses. You can actually do more acurate dentistry overall. I am now the only dentist in Pakistan to perform Microscopic Endondontics now have the ability to do cutting edge dentistry right here in Pakistan. It is indeed an honour, See me in action here.

hey…i would love to get my teeth fixed by you guys…but to be honest with you….you guys are wWAYYYYYY to expensive…..I wanted to get a bridge so i called at your place and normally a bridge for 3 teeth will cost around 15K at most places but you are charging around 45K….. seriously how can some one pay that much??? btw can you recommend a cheap nice dentist?? i am still searching :((((
Dr. Alvi,
Very good to know that we have qualified dentists in Pakistan that are implementing the latest technologies in their practices. The next step maybe for your practice is a soft and hard tissue laser. That would be a first for Pakistan. My wife uses lasers, along with a microscope, in her practice here in the USA and she is quite pleased.
All the best to you!
@ Danish, Do not seek the cheapest dentists or medical doctor. Always good idea to check out the training and experience of a professional first. Money should be the last consideration.

Hi Doctor Sb
do you perform titanium based implants, if yes how long does the process take for say 6 teeth as a friend might be interested but he would have to visit Pakistan and need to confirm the time required.

Well – you have no idea what you are missing then, try it sometime and I assure you its as if even a blind man can do a root canal since everything is 25x times in magnification – I dont regret this technology even for a moment, heck even try doing a filling with high magnification and you would blow yourself away. ๐
Hi Doc, one of my friends is back from states and I found that he has got a totally new look for his teeth. White and properlly arranged. I asked him that what actually he has done, he said this treatment is not available in pakistan and its very expensive and its name is PORCELAIN VENEERS. may be i am not spell it correctly but you may understand it. I just want to ask that is this treatment available with you and how much would be the cost.
You may reply via email.

I want to visit your place for a consultation, I have some problems and I have to resolve them as soon as possible until is too late. So see ya soon ๐
If you have good rates, you should advertise abroad. Maybe set up dental vacation packages for US and EU patients as dental costs here are soaring.
Can you please give me an estimate for a tooth implant? Complete. It is the top second from the end. The wisdom tooth has been extracted.
hi doc

As a dentist, I am delighted by this news. Having read the 2013 Oral State of Health for each country, Pakistan's result was very disappointing; a significant portion of the population cannot access the most basic dental procedures. While this maybe a break-through, I am batting for palpable and basic dental services for the population.
This handy thing is used by only a tiny fraction of dentists? They should make this standard issue equipment. The huge boost in accuracy should drastically lessen – if not completely eliminate – any mistakes by the dentist.
