14th August 2005 is another important date for Pakistan, it is the 58th Independence day of our beloved nation. A date important enough to deserve a public holiday with celebrations around the country, people roaming the streets in jubilation, motorcycles, cars, buildings and houses all glittering proudly with the national colours. Each and every soul chanting – Pakistan Zindabad. My heart feels the love and so does yours.
But why, But why? after this day do we so quickly forget about all this love for our nation, we forget the unity that binds us together under the crescent and star, why do we turn towards hatred, why do we kill each other and why do we worry about destroying the national wealth so that our own pockets can get bulkier.
I feel saddened that these few romantic days will not be recalled until next August ’06 and where then again we would have seen another year of political uncertainty to have unfolded before us. Many a politicians would have come and gone, gone of course with a heavy bank balance and those newly into the arena sharping there knives in preparation for the sweat-meat for their accounts in Switzerland.
Where is that national pride? where is that Unity, Faith and Discipline that we so proudly uphold? The irony of the entire system is that the same people who are born and brought up in Pakistan simply desire one wish and that is to leave this country to become a second-grade (or third grade) aliens in some other land while ridiculing our nation to an embarrassing position, for them I have one answer, do what you want, live where ever the heck you want but DON’T ever disgrace your country, you are a Pakistani to the last drop of your blood nothing will ever change it, so simply accept it and be proud to be a Pakistani, don’t just say it but believe it to the core.
I ask all of you today on the 14th of August, I am proud to be a Pakistani, I am proud to have been born in Pakistan and I am ready to bleed for Pakistan, Are YOU?
Pakistan Zindabad !!!!!!

Bleed for Pakistan? Yes.
A very nice post. Every country faces ups and downs but I’m 100% sure that things will improve. Though it doesn’t seem it will happen anytime soon but it will happen. One day. And I hope I live to see that day. Jashn-e-Azadi Mubarak!!
just like faith falters, patriotism does too. we need constant reminders to keep it up.
Bleed!! I say why not ๐
I was in the Nazimabad area midnight last night and saw scores of young bikers going bezerk, with MQM flags held high, with headbands like they were riding to war or something …. and all this time breaking signals. A couple of policemen couldn’t control this mob … Unity? Faith? Discipline? In this nation? you’re kidding!
MQM flags being preferred over Pakistans? speaks for itself eh? One nation? thats jokes. People in Pakistan identify themselves as sindhi, balochi, punjabi, mohajir… hmm.. what do u call the ones in the north? ๐ i cant remm lol. Khair… i havent lived in Pakistan so i shouldnt be talking ๐
If these guys were in the UAE, theyd be fined and jailed for the night.. mebbe even a few days ๐ and their bike/car licenses suspended for a month or two ๐
Azadi Mubarak. ๐ Lets just hope Pakistan REMAINS independant.
Happy Independence Day to you, TM. Where are you?
Happy Independence Day to you too!
Thank you ๐ and indeed, a very happy azadi ka din mubarak to you too. Ah, yes, that passion is one of the reasons that we still have Pakistan in our hands. But! we need to travel a certain distance to get “there”. (When it comes to words, paksitanis are a little too emotional. When it comes to practice it .. they’re a little too weak? nervous? insecure?) May Allah give us the courage and the confident to contribute partially, if not lead the way to vanquish dependency, Ameen). Tomorrow is waiting to welcome Pakistan ๐
Cheers ๐
Azadi mubarak! well, they can live wherever they want to, but they should still uphold pakistan-there shouldnt b d sentiment that pakistan is bad thats why i left-it should be that i made this choice bcozof other reasons….(whatever they may be).
not born but yes, proud as f**k.
yeh happy independence 2 u dear !! and the conditions here are made by us not any one else and we are the only ones who will atlast recognicze from our failures, and will soon on a nice track !!
isnt it?
see instead of a dentist, if you were a trauma surgeon or something, i could have made a real bad pun here about you making us bleed and it would have fit so nicely. but then again i guess if you were a trauma surgeon, i highly doubt you’d have any time to be blogging.
I’m with you! I have hope we’ll see better days and I believe I have a big role to play in bringing those ‘better’ days! Pakistan Zindabad!
yes very proud. and i have never wanted to live anywhere but my dear mother land. i would love to die here as would you.
and thanks for the wishes
happy belated independence day wishes.
Doctor Saheb, you are my kind of guy and you are not a shallow personality either, I respect you a lot, this is a great writting you did but remember like somebody said “Everybody talks about dying for his country, nobody talks about killing for his country”, we need to learn more and more, not only the music videos of US or Indian origion but the ethics, the laws and should work to implement these laws for the sake of us miserable people, being led to slaughter house by dumb governance of previous leaders. Like some jewish guy said “we can’t die becasue we are the question”.
Bleed for PAKISTAN? Yes ofcourse, why not!!!
Anyway a very happy independence day to you
!!!!!!BE A GUD AMD PASSIONATE PAKISTANI!!!!! ******HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL PAKISTANIS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD*****
