Lasik@Home

Lasix@HomeJust found this interesting link for a device available to preform at home Lasik Surgery available for a cheap price of $99 ‘excluding’ S&H. Personally I would not advise anyone to even contemplate of getting a 20/20 vision by this device, click the image to the right to see the simple 4-step instruction sheet that is supposed to come along with the device resembles the Aircraft Emergency Card found on all airlines. These instructions are actually 1-step instruction as only the third step makes sense and the comment “Don’t Blink” literally cracked me up.

The idea seems to be the creation of certain Dr. Amir Khadim a self proclaimed MD, PhD. a Google search and a Medline search reveals no one even closely associated with the field of Ophthalmology. What would really surprise me is if anyone would be stupid enough to fall for this $99 gimmick and actually purchase this scam. A little investigation of the domain by a simple who-is search of the site reveals no identifiable name except a registration by proxy to further hide the identity of the original registrar. I can almost imagine a hawker on the street trying to turn a quick buck by selling this device to unsuspecting people. Oh! and by the way if you are interested in buying Merchandise like T-shirts & Caps then head over to CafePress with a full range of Lasik@Home Merchandise

“Scam”? It’s just a joke. Lighten up man! Sounds like they got you hook, like and sinker!

I have to agree with Sumguy. This is clearly a joke, and I am surprised that you required such an exhaustive search to reach that conclusion. The person behind this hilarious site is certainly not out to steal money from anyone. Try to purchase the laser from the website, and you will see that you it is prohibited. So, if it is impossible to exchange money, other than for the paraphenalia, where is the “scam”? “Lighten up, man!”

Boy this @home Lasik joke is getting around. If you scroll past the dummy order form (it doesn’t work) you can order his fairly funny Lasik at home mugs, shirts, etc. I’m thinking of getting myself a tee shirt.

I agree to this article becoz the device cannot work and this even a layman can understand. After all many techniques and inventions are filed though we have failures and now can this simple device replace all this??? Not at all.Believing in such devices is making ourselves risky.
