This is truly a tragedy for Pakistan, although I didnt not particularly like her Party; the way her family has fooled the citizens of Pakistan twice before, I saw her husband on TV before BB returned to Pak in October and he seemed to be rubbing his hands with glee at the very prospect of returning and to restart the looting of the national exchequer; BB was foolhardy and headstrong and didnt listen to anybody, she should have been more careful…..what did she expect? I grieve now for the many thousands whose properties are being torched and looting…

Bhutto said Musharraf failed to protect her email WASHINGTON, Dec 28 (AFP):

Slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto blamed President Pervez Musharraf for failing to protect her in the volatile months preceding her assassination, an email released by US media Thursday showed. If harmed in Pakistan, “I wld (would) hold Musharaf (sic) responsible, Bhutto wrote in the October email, revealed on air by CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer, who received it from Bhuttos friend and US spokesman Mark Siegel. “I have been made to feel insecure by his minions, Bhutto wrote of Musharraf, detailing security measures which she said were not granted her after her return. “There is no way what is happening in terms of stopping me from taking private cars or using tinted windows or giving jammers or four police mobiles to cover all sides cld (could) happen without him. Siegel told the channel that Bhutto had asked authorities to provide protection including a four-car police escort and jamming devices against bombs, but had not received them. The news channel revealed the email hours after Bhutto, 54, was killed in a suicide attack. (Posted @ 09:50 PST)

I SICERELY HOPE THAT MUSHARAF AND ALL THE GENERALS OF PAKISTAN MEET THE SAME FATE AS THE BHUTTO FAMILY.

I HAVE THE SAME PRAYER FOR BILAL MUSHARAF AND THE DAUGHTER OF MUSHARAF AS WELL AS ZIA S FAMILY AND AYUB KHANS FAMILY.

EXAMPLES OF PUNISHMENT AND VANDETTA HAVE BEEN SET FOR POLITICIANS, JUDGES, BEAUROCRACY AND THE CIVIL SOCIETY.

ZA BHUTTO AND BENAZIR LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR PAKISTAN, LOOK AT WHAT THIS ARMY DID TO QADEER KHAN, THE CHIEF JUSTICE, THE MEDIA AND THE LIST IS ENDLESS.

IT IS ONLY THE GENERALS OF PAKISTAN AND THEIR FAMILIES THAT HAVE REMAINED ABOVE THE LAW AND UNTOUCHABLE.

90,000 ARMY SOILDERS SURRENDERED IN DACCA AND NONE WERE HANGED, AYUB, ZIA AND MUSHARAF DESTROYED THE COUNTRY AND NON OF THESE DICTATORS WERE HANGED.

THE CHILDREN OF THESE DICTATORS ARE THE RICHEST AND MOST INFLUENTIAL IN THE COUNTRY AND NONE OF THEM IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

NOW IS THE TIME THAT SOMETHING BE DONE OTHERWISE IF THESE GENERALS AND ARMY STILL CONTINUE TO RULE THAN SIMPLY FORGET PAKISTAN.

WILL WE AS A NATION REMAIN SUBSERVIANT TO THIS CORRUPT AND USELESS ARMY OR WILL WE TAKE THEM TO TASK?

I don’t know how to put it. These politician have destroyed the security apparatus themselves. Look at the police or any other law enforcement agency. They are in a complete dis-array. These politician are dependent on the security provided by these agencies. So it was waiting to happen..sad…
She had Rehman Malik as her chief security officer or something like that. Now how stupid is that…an incompetent, corrupt person is suppose to take care for your scurity…
We pray for the innocent people who lost their lives.

I was deeply shocked by the tragic loss of this great woman – though not all may have agreed with her politics, one cannot doubt the great efforts she made to bring understanding of the Muslim world to an, all too often, misinformed West. My thoughts are with the people of Pakistan and those of Pakistani origin throughout the world – I hope your country will find peace and democracy despite this set back.

    From NY,
I am so terribly sorry, and this treacherous act breaks my heart, not only for Pakistan, but for the whole world. To lose such a staunch, vibrant, intelligent, brave woman and her supporters to a vile murderer is despicable. To lose such a powerful and beautiful voice of democracy when democracy is being sorely tested throughout the world is such a hardship, I am bereft
These are COWARDS who did this, COWARDS because they run their lives based on fear of a bright and curious future, COWARDS because they are not real men, but mice to murder an unarmed woman, COWARDS because of their ignorance, COWARDS because they toss Gods name around through death, destruction, and pain. This is a COWARDLY act, not brave, there is no merit to pat themselves on the back. They are low animals cornered because their way of life, of control, of darkness is becoming extinct, that is not bravery.
God bless the bringers of Light, God bless Ms Bhutto, her supporters, and all of their families.

    Dear Pinky

We will all miss you. With your death, The Quaid-e-Awam Z.A.B. has died once again. He was my political father, and took me years to except his death. It will take years to get over the vacuum you leave behind.

To those who berate your memory, I have only one thing to say: Islam forbids to talk ill of the death.

I remember the first time I saw you, it was on your first day at Karachi Grammar School. The big buzz was that ‘Pinky is here, Pinky is here!’ at the morning assembly. Every one was craining to have a look at you. You are BB to others, to me you will always be Pinky

I remember the first time I say your dad was when he landed in his helicopter at Aitchison College Lahore, with China’s P.M. Chao En-Lai. All Aitchisonians were there on the Horse Track waving to them as they came out of the helicopter and into the waiting Chrysler Imperial Crown limousine. He was like a Rock Star for us. He was our Hero.

My heart bleeds for Bakhtawar, Bilawal, Aseefa, and Asif. I pray that Begum Sahiba’s Alzheimer’s disease is so far gone that she does not know or understand of your death. To loose one child is hell, to loose three? ……… It is unimaginable! And, that too after her husband was murdered in col blood.

To Sanam, whom I briefly got to know at the club in Karachi, back in August-September 1981, before I left for the States, it was a pleasure to know her, so devoid of hubris. And, it was she who gave me pointers on life in the U.S.A. To her I send my personal ‘afsoss’. Through her, I was vicariously able to be in the company of your great father. I will cherish that time forever. She was truly a humble person, with not an ounce of pretense or braggadocio.

Today I mourn not only for you, but also for my beloved Pakistan. To paraphrase the great Z.A.B, we are all Bhuttos today, our grief is with your family, as it grieves your untimely passing away.

May Allah have mercy on your soul, may he grant Paradise to your martyred soul. God Save Pakistan! God Bless Pakistan! Power to the People! Pakistan Pa’indabad! Pakistan Zindabad! Allah-hu-Akbar! Allah-hu-Akbar! Allah-hu-Akbar!

    For Benazir
    What should I write?
That you were brave, there is no doubt
That much of our hopes were linked to your actions
That in you we saw a new resilience, a resolve that comforted us,
Encouraged us to think of a future without fear, despair, and hate

Against armchair generals and lecherous politicians
The zealot mullahs and their satanic hordes
You stood tall and defiant, as if
In those years of exile you had learned to walk
The dangerous path of true leadership

And now that they have murdered you
Have our hopes died with you as well
I wonder, on this dreary winter day:
Will your death be a new beginning?
Or is it the return of Jahiliyya:
When we killed our daughters for convenience
    And called it custom.

Rest in peace, Daughter of the East
For your toils are over while ours have just begun
And in this eternal night of stillborn dreams
You will live as the only true symbol of our hopes
The only ray of light that we,
    In our collective madness,
    Extinguished with our callousness.

It is with sorrow I express my condolences to the Bhutto family and to all those who genuinely morn her death. My heart goes out to her 3 children who have lost so much and who will now grow up without a wonderful mother whom they loved.

I also offer my condolences to the families of the many innocent people whose lives have been lost in the name of religion & ethnicity.

It is a sad day for Pakistan and for the world as the life of the first Muslim woman prime minister is cut so short. Benazir was a brave and courageous woman and one of the most popular leaders Pakistan has ever produced.

Pakistan lost someone, who given the opportunity could have been a great leader. I hope and pray her and her father’s legacy for Pakistan will not have died with her. The world and especially Pakistani people will remember her as she was admired by so many people. She came back to Pakistan to fight for her people even though she knew of the dangers.

As a woman I feel her loss to womankind for all she stood for and what she could have changed as she was such an incredible and inspirational woman. Her shoes will be hard to fill.

My one wish for the people of Pakistan is peace and unity.

    May ALLAH rest her soul.

The violence of this nature and extremism will only make the lives of innocents people worse. Democracy is the only solution to all political problems of Pakistan. People of Pakistan should get up and throw out dictators and extremists.

First of all my heart goes out to Bhutto family, May Allah give them peace and courage to go through this ordeal. A sad event this is indeed, a great leader to some, an inspiration to others and for some Benazir Bhutto was an icon, a deacon of light which was expected to lead the democratic charge in our military hierarchy country.

I all my life have been an independent; not supporting any one politician as they all at some point contradicts them and goes sideways from their actual goal. So much for the democratic process which since day one has been jeopardized by Change of convenience done in our constitution to feed Mr. Musharrafs grip on his power. 2007 has seen the works of a leader who having called himself a Patriot and an ambassador of Justice did exactly the opposite of it, attacking a place of worship (which can not be justified no matter how dire the circumstances) resulting in making him a mockery in the Islamic world.

Unjustifiably sacking the Chief Justice which resulted in violence and a sense of insecurity among general population. I have supported Mr. Musharraf in his efforts to revitalize Pakistani economy, but in his effort to keep the western support he lost track of his vision and did exactly what many political analysts predicted; He went against his People.

What really was astonishing was when he brokered a deal with Mr. Nawaz Shareef to return from exile to take part in a political process. I dont know who is advising him, but they sure are not doing that great of a Job.

Coming to the tragic death of Muhtarma Benazir Bhutto, Mr. Musharraf with all his army experience and better judgement let her conduct her political rally in a city which have been a safe haven for terrorists in carrying out attacks on political figures, and I believe one against him as well . In recent footage showed by Interior Ministry of Pakistan it clearly shows that there was no safety network near Ms. Bhuttos SUV and she was left vulnerable to attack. Its known that in our political rallies its custom for Politicians to come out of their motorcade and reply to chanting crowd, no matter how insane that sounds but that is the truth. I only wonder what kind of people Mr. Musharaf have appointed as his head of security agencies who can not protect a politician, who has been a moving target since she arrived back in Pakistan.

I am not going to write about any conspiracy theory here, but my friends we all know Mr. Musharraf has lost control of this country, and now since he is not the active army chief he is very vulnerable of being removed from the Presidency, and his newly appointed Chief of Army Staff wouldnt be able to hold of a rebellion against him if it were to happen. In recent news, Muharaf has been scrutinized and his relationship with the Western world is being questioned, its not going to be long before some one inside Pakistan will step up and take realm of the Country which is in chaos and uncertainty. Pakistan is and always will be a secular country; we can not and should not try to implement a certain aspect of conducting our business.

As I believe our Great Quaid got us the independence in the name of Islam, and if any person tries to attack that very core element of our life and that also especially ordered by forces outside our country will be held liable for it and will not be withstand by her people. Some of you might be thinking “oh, what load of bullocks. My friends a person who orders the attack on a Mosque is no worse than the people who attacked Babri Mosque in India, and I believe we all agree is an enemy of the Country.

May God help us all and keep us and our families safe. Ameen.

No words to express the grief.

As long as we have traitor generals this will continue, which of our leader who had people’s support is not killed or exiled by generals!

Allah save Pakistan from our army.

A Sad tragedy happend…..Which words can not describe….Yet another black day in the history of our nation.

I was never a fan for her, but what happend is totally absurd, i really cried for her before she was not just a politician before that she was a woman, Daughter, sister, wife & a MOther.

May ALLAH give peace to her family & give her Highest darjat in Janat AL Firdous for her good deeds.(AMEEN)
