War is welcome, IDPs aren’t

Guest Blog by Kazim Aizaz Alam

IDPs scrambling for foodViolence has gripped Karachi once again. People are scared and all markets are closed in major parts of Karachi as I write these lines. The MQM is up in arms against the Pakhtuns as its alleged goondas on Saturday burnt [*] a woman and a girl alive in an act of arson besides shooting (and killing) a man while he was driving a car. All mini buses (or Mazdas, as we call them) in the city are owned by Pakhtuns and they become ‘soft targets’ once the hooligans receive a go-ahead signal from their Markaz. This time round the ‘excuse’ for violence is that internally displaced persons are coming to Karachi.

Ironically the MQM is the most vocal supporter of the military operation in the Malakand division — yet it is sternly opposing the establishment of IDP camps in Karachi. The operation has already made over 2.5 million people homeless but the crusaders against Talibanisation can’t let go of their Mohajir chauvinism. Besides the MQM and Sindhi nationalist parties, the Punjab government too has said that it will not welcome any Swati refugees. The MQM first raised a hue and cry about inhumanities of the Taliban and called for an indiscriminate military operation in the populous region, and now when hundreds and thousands of people are helpless, homeless and penniless; all it could offer was a ‘grand’ cheque of one million rupees for the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.

On another note, one of my acquaintances who is in the MQM and is also a government representative told me yesterday that fully-constructed houses of 120 square yards were up for grabs in Gulshan-e-Zia (Orangi Town) for a paltry sum of Rs 40,000. But the only condition was that the buyer would have to move into the house immediately, otherwise the house along with the payment would be taken back at once. The houses are ‘distributed’ among MQM workers through the city district government. The reason is that a Mohajir-Pakhtun clash is imminent in the near future and since the area is overwhelmingly populated by the Pakhtuns, the MQM wants to consolidate its hold there before the final showdown. Meanwhile, its propaganda about Talibanisation in Karachi continues at full pace so that when it comes down to full-fledged ethnic-cleansing drive, our ‘liberals’ can stay back in complete peace and watch the war theatre in the name of fight against extremism.

Ofcourse Allah calls himself “Master of the Day of Judgement” … right now we are talking about judging what is right and what is wrong ???

are these politicians scums of the earth or not ???

Allah will punish those whom He will and forgive those whom HE will on the DAY OD JUDGEMENT …

but right now we are in this temporal world …

what is the use of a court of law … or do you disagree with the concept of judiciary ???(A BIG NOTE I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE HEREAFTER)

@tamaaz khan i really appreciate your reply to Nabeel.. i totally agree with you..

    @Sikander …

Yes we have done our share of crimes and sins and so does everyone and the only reason we are still breathing is because our test is not over ….

…. but we are specifically talking about people who are involved in certain actions ….

lets take for example I ..Nabeel Sher visit a brothel anywhere … now if their is a certain Momin who knows that I am trying to go to brothel would try to stop me wouldnt he ???

or would he first say that every 1 has sexual needs … before i was a momin i used to go to the brothel … so what can i do … may be this certain person is more muslim than i am … maybe he has just lost his way temporarily …. and maybe he is going to the brothel just to give the old woman some money for survial …who knows … ALLAH knows best and then you pass away …walking down the isle of ignorance n bliss …

whilst Prophet Muhammad said that if you see a sin happening try to stop it with your hands … if you cannot than try to stop it using your tongue … if you cant even do that than think badly about it and dont appreciate it ….

take for instance suppression of people … ALLAH is totally against it and we know that … how do the elites suppress the lower strata … one of the ways is USURY or Interest ….

ALLAH hates USURY so much that He has declared war against usury ….

the verse supporting this stands here …

"O you who believe fear Allah! and give up what remains of your demand for usury , if you are indeed believers..If you do it not take notice of WAR from Allah and HIS messenger : but if you turn back you shall have your capital sums … deal not unjustly and you shall not be dealt with unjustly..if the debtor is in a difficulty grant him time till it is easy for him to repay but if you remit it by way of charity it is best for you if you only knew" (2:278-280)

now in case you have a friend who works in a bank … his job is to call people who have taken loans and harass them … and you get to know about it …

    what will you do ?

you will think oh i am a sinner too … and i dont know his other deeds and i dont know whether he will go to jannah or jahannum … lets forget about it ….

    …………………..

i dont know why you are so dogmatic about your religious opinion without giving QURAN a chance to settle into your mind …

all you have is preconcieved notion about islam that you learned in primary in your school ….

well theres more to deen than that …

    @Tamaaz Khan …

try to understand your purpose in this life … Allah is the king … if HE would have wanted to rule this earth openly HE would have done so…. but HE has made us HIS khalifa…. vicegerents ….

“It is He, who has placed you as a vicegerent of the earth, and has exalted in rank

some over others that He may try you by that which He has given you.”

    (Qur’an 6:165)

i dont quote randomly … i quote precisely to the point which you are unclear about … and i think you have to surrender your ideology to the ideology of ALLAH to understand what QURAN is …

another verse to clarify this point …

Allah said to the angels: Lo! I am going to place a Khalifah (Viceroy) in the

    earth.” (Qur’an 2:30)

    The representative of

Allah (SWT) is entrusted with the Divine responsibility of safekeeping, protecting,

rectifying and purifying all Allah given trusts. Consider yourselves as a debtor of a vast

wealth. Do you expect the trustee to follow exactly all your guidelines and instructions

carefully, without negligence, without heedlessness, and with complete attention? Now,

be certain, that all the gifts that we human beings have, are in reality given to us as a trust,

with specific guidelines, by Allah, The Most Merciful, The Most Compassionate:

“Verily all that is in the heavens and the earth belong to Allah.” (Qur’an 10:55)

Now consider yourself as an acting vicegerent of Allah, acknowledging your

responsibilities, fulfilling your obligations and persevering patiently in your endeavor.

    Allah says:

“By the Time, Man is in loss, except those who believe and do righteous deeds,

exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to patience”. (Qur’an 103)

………here Allah specifically asks HIS believers and ghulams to work for HIM

“And let there arise from you a community inviting to goodness, enjoining what is

right and forbidding what is wrong. Such are they who are successful.” (Qur’an

    3:102-105).

    ….

now you will ask by which criteria do you come to know what is right and what is wrong … and ill advise you again to read the QURAN … but you just want to have an argument without reading the pre-requisite book that you so opine about …

here is another responsibility of the servant of ALLAH …

“ O you who believe! Be staunch in justice, witnesses for Allah, even though it is

against yourselves or your parents or you kindred, whether the case be of a rich or

a poor. For Allah is nearer to both (than you are). So follow not your passion lest

you lapse (from the truth) and if you lapse or fall away, then lo! Allah is ever

informed of what you do.” (Qur’an 4:135).

now you are so opinionated as to the fact that we all are sinners and no 1 can make judgement about another ….you know why the person feels entitled to judge others … because he has judged himself first … he has cleansed his soul up .. he doesnt do it alone … ALLAH does it for him by giving the person tests and adversities so that the person learns humility in front of ALLAH …

you blame me for shirk without any knowledge of what shirk is or how comprehensive the meaning of shirk remains …

learn QURAN before passing your valuable judgement about what islam is …

that is the reason we are in this condition … we dont know and we dont want to know …. please stick to politics in which every 1 can say anything and be called a theorist … ISLAM is not open to your desires …

    @Tamaaz Khan …

    your quote

" Allah(SWT) is all knowing and is the final arbritator of justice.

That is the first lesson from the Quran even a 5 year old knows it, "

I didnt miss that I learnt that when i was 5 year old as you did … but unfortunately your learning in ISLAMIAT has stopped right there whilst I have by the will of ALLAH been persevering to know this religion more ….

Dont you have an open mind to think that you are living in such trials and tribulations and the reason why you are created is just to talk about politicians or get a job somewhere and die ./???? is this what life is all about ???

was this the passive behaviour of any Prophet or his companion ????

where would you take guidance from if you dont read any Holy Scriptures or learn about the struggles of Prophets and the believers who were with them … they are models for us ….

but probably for some of us here the models are the likes of zardari n musharraf n brown n sarkozy …..

every 1 follows his own way … but i just told you the way of success … and its not my wisdom … i m not equating my wisdom to ALLAH's wisdom … its ALLAH's wisdom that I have learnt from HIM HIMSELF … through HIS words the QURAN .. the PSALMS …..

where do you learn your wisdom from ???? who has shaped your ideology ??? machiavelli ? or aristotle ? or karl marx ???

what agenda do you work on if your agenda is not the goodwill of ALLAH ….???

  6. tamaaz khan Avatar

WOW, This is getting ridiculous. All those years learning the Quran and you didn't get the central premise. "No God, but God"

So you feel that you are such a special person…you have cleansed your soul to such an extent…that now you can claim Allah's(SWT) attributes. VERY HUMBLE!!!!!

No comment Nabeel. I said my Kalima, I am a Muslim. Despite my many sins, your or any mortal's judgement means nothing, it all depends on Allah (SWT)

Take your own advice and learn some humility.

    Back to the topic: IDP's.

Please stop wasting peoples time with you warped understanding of Islam .

    @Tamaaz Khan ….

Just because you have no answer to the ideology i am presenting to you you are accusing me such a heinous sin tamaaz ????

where the hell did i state that i have a single one of Allah's attribute …

if i hadnt given up cursing then seriously you of all the people deserve those curses …but no i forgive you for the only reason that i myself need forgiveness from Allah …

    now learn another lesson ….

" Suppose your mother has two kids … one has a totally different personality from her … one has a personality similar to her which kid would your mother prefer ???? and love …obviously the one who likes what your mother likes and dislikes what your mother dislikes …[Allah cannot be compared with ne 1 ..this similie is just to prove a point in a humanly sense "

    …………………

    LETS TALK ABOUT THE GOD

    …………………

no 1 can be "Ghafoor"(forgiving) and yet we are asked to forgive other people ??? why ??? because we cannot attain the height of forgiveness … we cannot be like him ….

consider two numbers one is infinite and one is 7 can the number 7 be equal to the infinity ??????

Allah is infinite in all aspects … but muslims are supposed to strive to achieve some attributes in "THEIR LIMITED SENSE"

for example Allah calls himself "SHAHEED" and HE HIMSELF calls people who are witnesses for HIM and HIS DEEN as "Shaheed" … why ????

Allah calls HIMSELF "AL SHAKOOR(appreciative)"(that HE appreciates our service in HIS WAY) and yet HE says that HE loves those who are SHAKOOR (thankful , appreciative) for what they have from ALLAH ……

HE calls HIMSELF "SABOOR" Patient and Self restraining and yet HE loves those who are "SAABIR" those who are patient amongst mankind ….

HE calls HIMSELF "AL WADOOD" The Loving one …. does He not appreciate other people who love others????

those who love others or are patient or thankful to HIM or witness to HIM are in no way equal to HIM …..

we are nothing in front of HIS attributes …… but we strive to achieve "some" of HIS attributes in their lowest of forms ….(kindly note that only few of HIS attributes can be emulated in their most humblest sense)

    another example

He calls himself "AL HAKEEM"(The Most Wise) yet in Surah Luqman HE narrates to us that HE granted HIKMAT(WISDOM) to Luqman from Himself …..would that make Luqman equal to ALLAH in wisdom …absolutely no …. but in a humanly sense when compared to other humans Luqman was the wisest of man …….

    got my point ???

    ……………

you just want to make a mess out of islam ….

and if you such an ardent lover of ALLAH … than you shouldnt be calling understanding Islam a waste of time ….

your fruitless discussion on IDP is a waste of time … cause all you will ever do is talk n blabber with no action ….

Sorry, Nabeel…I just read your post…then re-read your post…are we talking about the same thing?

The real judgment is in Akhirat, right? And, Allah(SWT) is the only arbitrator of Justice?

This world, with everything (including yourself) is fleeting, temporary and flawed.

Only Allah (SWT) can judge others as be cause he is all-knowing, all-present and see's all.

If you think you can judge others, you are claiming that you are all-knowing, all-present and you see all, because those are attributes needed to judge others.

    So are you divine?

If not, then you cannot judge others, or pass out certificates of Islamic virtues.

This is my last post on this topic, I hope it makes sense to you. If not please consult an Islamic scholar on the topic, Mullah Fazlullah, Sufi or the High Priests of JI do not count.

we belong to two different school of thoughts tamaaz sahab … if we both start shouting out our point of views somewhere in saddar or even deltons in karachi … ur point of views would be lauded upon and people wont be able to understand what i am trying to say …

your politics is very non linear and in the sphere … while mine is particularly linear and circling the sphere rather remaining in the circle itself …

you appreciate roads n bridges and parks … while i appreciate equality of a king to a sabziwaala , just distribution of wealth , implementation of islamic morals and standards …

you have educated opinions about the country we live in … and your knowledge is based on fact rather than theories ….

me.. i have been a part of the life you live … but i couldnt make myself run in the corporate rat race … it wasnt a part of my nature to do so …

you talk about IDPs without the humane element .. without consideration like they are a bridge or a dam and where shall they be placed … i see them displaced and i am infuriated at every war-monger in our cabinets and parliaments for waging a foreign war in the first place and abandoning the by-product as the "haram ka jana" … in your line of work sentimentality is looked down upon … but what do i do to convince you that in my point of view every province and city and neighbourhood should have opened their doors to those people …

tamaaz sahab … kindly try to envision you without your car , without your job , without any savings , kicked out of your house , your mother , your siblings , your wife and your children along with you … and wherever you go people make excuses … consider you moving to your relatives and each one of them abandoning you for some reason or another ……

now in that state of mind consider if you get access to this blog and you see a blog about "Internally Displaced Tamaaz" … and you see people theorizing about your state of affairs .. and whether your relative A who is more wealthy should have kept you or whether your relative B should have kept you cause he has more land ……

how would you feel ? how does it feel to be worthless ??

we come here to gain some self worth dont we all of us or to vent out the frustration … how do we know how it feels to be worthless and perpetually rejected ….try to understand their plight than to satiate your intellect

    @Ethno nationlaist Mohajer

A Muslim's identity is Muslim.A Muslim would hold flag of Islam whenever he goes.On the other hand,a rdical mohajer(every mohajer is not radical)would kill Muslims unnecessarily for the mistakes made by Nawaz Sharif or Benazir. This is thier pathetic mentality and little education which stops them know the fact that a common punjabi or sindhi should not be killed for someonelse's crimes. The party they vote for would support both NS and Benazir's PPP if they give them two or three ministeries.

Why did MQM vote for Asif Zaradri when it's against feudalism?

As MQM is not agisnt feudalism,it's only against those feudals who won't give them ministeries. But it certainly would sort of feudals who would reward them misnisteries.

Why MQM's supporters were holding MQM's flags during the final of world cup 1992?

You people desperatley need to show urself as Pakistani and Muslim first of all.You parents left India for a Muslim country, not for a place of mohajers.

But you have forgotten why ur parents left India for pakistan.if you were looking for secualr and place for black monkeys like Altaf Hussain, then India is certainly a better place.
