Let History be our Mentor

Does Adolf Hitler ring a bell? Historian and analysts attribute his rise and fame to the geopolitical situation facing Germany. Hitler found Germany in a social and political mess, infighting for power and control of parliament was the only goal of each faction, with the military holding the system together. The economy was in shambles and people found it extremely difficult to make their ends meet, life was very harsh for them. On the global front communism was gaining currency and posed a severe threat to the German elite, the rich exorbitant and industrialists. Hitler exploited these long term factors through propaganda, the terror of his storm-troopers, and the brilliance of his speeches.

Invoking a sense of nationalism, providing economical solutions and offering a common enemy and scapegoat for the situation (Jews) Hitler instantly found mass appeal for his fascist agenda. The vicious little man with a program of hatred became an overnight hero. His rhetoric transformed Germany from a failed state to a super power but for what? The country went to war killed in millions and eventually was shared as a trophy by the allied armies. The visionary of great Germany ended up enslaving and separating its people, as the country was divided into East and West Germany. Adolf Hitler wrote the worst chapter of human history.

History repeats itself and the best part of this repeat episode of history is that it is happening around us, or was happening around us prior to 23rd March. , Taliban being a immediate worry for the Pakistani elite, control of parliament being the sole objective of political factions, social uproar, military ensuring continuity of the current system, the common enemy and scapegoat (America, Israil and India), and economic failure attributed to capitalism read Zionism. Our youth were given the right mix of ingredients to ensure they get a high out of it. A nicely formulated dose of nationalism and pan Islamism, using Iqbal as a cover, nicely wrapped in glamor.

The biggest chink in the armor, a sense of lost ideology and direction, Zaid preyed on this fact through a well orchestrated turn of events. Narrating stories of Muslims’ greatness and with promises of regaining them he excelled on their deprivations and a common hatred for America, Israil, India, corrupt politicians, misplaced priorities and a general lack of nationhood. All these are real factors, as was the case with Germany, but why are we making the same mistake which the Germans did and paid dearly.

To a previous post I received many a comments, but one comment stands out and warrants sharing. “We seem to have a massive inferiority complex, and need to (be) victimized by the rest of the world. WE judge our importance by listing all the countries and agencies that are screwing with us! Honorable Hamid is giving everyone a way to intensify these feelings by situating us at the centre of the world and offering people a destination, a path towards an awesome victory that we desperately need!! Sensationalism always trumps pragmatism! But in the long run, once we pay the unthinkable cost of all these violent rhetoric, hopefully sanity will prevail” adds the commentator.

Agreed! There is no such thing as a free lunch, the outlined destination bears a (great) price and being in the center of the world, to an adolescent mind, is priceless. But what this war phallic is leading us is a massacre; we will find our selves in the center of the world only to be pounced upon from all directions. He talks about invading India at a time when our forces are engaged in a war on the western front. We are fighting pockets, which are funded yes I would not negate by the anti Pakistan forces. They are hitting our urban centers, killing civilians in large numbers.

Every sane person let alone scholars is praying for peace, even the ISAF forces in Afghanistan are negotiating an end to war. Yet our Honorable defense analyst/economic expert/historian/religious scholar wants to wage a war. So, why is Zaid given so much room to engage in public speaking, who is he working for? Why would such a controversial figure be hired? He advocates Iqbaliat, nishat e sania and Khilafat e Rashdiya, than why are all reputable and respected religious scholars wary of him? He considers the “mission” to be grandeur than why he doesn’t end this huge controversy by condemning a blasphemer. From the turn of events, starting from his 58 minute clarity on Yousuf Kazzab, following observations can be drawn.

He tries to create a distance between youth and mainstream religious scholars by fuelling nationalist sentiments in them and exploiting the differences amongst various masaliks (schools of thoughts). He invokes in them a sense of superiority, nationality and succeeds in his agenda by creating confusion through fabricating a web of lies all stemming from true and objective facts. This agenda is nothing new and its footprints tracked back to early colonial rule in the subcontinent. Tried and failed many times earlier, this is no major threat, although it cannot be neglected or ignored.

Is it all this explicit or there is something else in store for us? Was this whole theatrical staged for eliminating trust amongst the youth, to kill their hope, to make them averse to ideas of change and revival? “Frankly speaking I don’t care what happens, ye kachray ka dhair hai, kachra hi rahayga! (It’s a pile of rubbish and will remain so) Don’t get it why people become so optimistic that this time the country will be lead to glory” questions Samreen, not her real name, while discussing the saga that has unfolded in front of her. She is not alone and is part of a sizeable group who feel dejected at being taken advantage of. “They come and give splendid speeches, talk about revival, esteem and above all a sense of pride, a few yards down the road their not so desirous identities are revealed” grieves Raheel, not his real name either.

Samreen and Raheel are not isolated rather represent a great majority of Pakistani youth, irritated by yet another broken trust, another false promise. Astonishingly, they did not even belong to any of the two camps. They constitute a general discontented, disappointed, disgruntled and frustrated youth, feeling being used and taken advantage of. Emotions in the pro camp are even worse and understandably so. The anti camp thinks they have won or have they? Have they really achieved anything, if so, than what and what do they propose to do with it? Stop whining people! Pull yourself together and for the anti camp, your job is not to stop or expose a certain Zaid Hamid, rather work towards eliminating prejudices, preferences, biases and divides which people such as these exploit to their advantage. Develop a fellowship of rationale thinkers, direct your focus towards root causes, Zaid is a symptom and not the disease, lets use this platform for awakening our youth so that such events are prevented.

Remember, Zaid did only what we (youth) allowed him to do; we allowed him access to control our minds. We followed his rhetoric and now that things have cleared we are on the lookout for a scapegoat. It is about time that we start taking responsibility for our actions; we need a brighter, stronger and prosperous Pakistan. Our love for this motherland will make it happen, what we need to resolve this year is that we will not follow fallacies; we will abide by laws, rules and procedures laid out in the constitution. We love our motherland and if need be we will defend it with all that we can muster. I’m hopeful that there is light at the end of our tunnel, Surah Al e Imran, verse 54, “And (the unbelievers) plotted and planned, and God too planned, and the best of planners is God”.

    Rehan Ali,

Don't worry, when our (Na)Pak Fauj will get the right price, they will sell this SOB, right now he is in growth phase. He is on stage for little time.

Right now, Na-Pak Fauj needs him in order to take away the sympathies of Taliban. See if the Islam loving people didn't listen and follow him, they would have rebelled against haram-khour Fauj. But now he is paving the way to get the crowd back.

How else would you win the support of Islam-holic nation for *rah-e-nijat*?

Liberal are not his target audience. His target audience is the crowd, who thought Pakistan was created as a home for Muslims.

his success (or recent lack of it) is also symptomatic of failure of leadership in the country. For all that he may be, people like ZH are able to find that place where savy media skills, sound bites, emotional pull stringing…the total package galvanizes disenchanted people under his leadership….maybe our mainstream political leaders should wake up to this threat, that if they dont get their acts together more and more political space will be taken up by fringe elements…however, sadly our political masters are likely to jump on the rhetoric filled bandwagon then to challenge those that promote hate

On this basis of their similar ideologies about ethnicity and nationhood, National Socialists and Zionists worked together for what each group believed was in its own national interest. That was a brilliant piece Rehan but i was (and i guess many others ) more interested in "the HANDs behind the GUN"

Who brought him, who is feeding him all the resources and in all this discussion people are missing his Ghazwa-e-Hind Commando Ahmed Qureshi

Ahmed Qureshi is pretty much doing the same thing, though his speech-power is slightly not of that standard as ZH.

And please dont give me that ZIONIST,BIONIST hands behind ZH. That is pretty much the JI/JUI crap.

I think ZH got more attention of the right-wing dragging his past crap. No one is interested in his religious beliefs and everyone should mind their own business. What one should be interested in, is ZH the burger-alternative to the 60's ISI propaganda ??

I mean if ISI brings a fiery mullah to inject patriotism in 21st century in our current security situation he would be a failure instantly, so they brought AN-ACCEPTABLE-TO-NEW-CYBER-GENERATION version.

Anyone, willing to give an insight on this aspect ?

I am very much convinced about his associate with the agency, mainly because he seems to hide the evils of TALIBAN behind the MASK of indian sponsored terrorist, which is a good ploy to make people forget who were the people/org which gave birth to these TTPz and LETz and JMz and all that Jehadi Project

Read irfan's article on this , and more importantly this para:

    [

One reason the Kerry-Lugar Act has provoked so much opposition among the ruling elites is that it threatens to subvert a system that has worked well for them for so many years. By trying to get money directly to neglected areas like education and health, and bypassing sticky official fingers as well as the international consultancy mafia, the Americans have made many privileged Pakistanis nervous. For all their lofty talk about sovereignty and national honour, the bottom line is always about money, and who gets it.

Access to scarce resources reveals a lot about power and its distribution. In Pakistan, the military has traditionally devoured the bulk of our budgetary allocations, and the fact that military spending remains opaque, and those responsible largely unaccountable to parliament, says a lot about who’s in charge. This fact of life was hammered home by Gen Kayani’s prominent role in the current ‘strategic dialogue’ between the United States and Pakistan. He went along to make sure the military got its rightful share of the goodies about to flow from Washington.

Lo! thou wilt die, and lo! they will die; [ AZ-ZUMAR (THE TROOPS, THRONGS) Chapter 39 – Verse 30]

Every soul will taste of death. [AL-E-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF 'IMRAN, THE HOUSE OF 'IMRAN) Chapter 3 – Verse 185]

We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal! Every soul must taste of death, and We try you with evil and with good, for ordeal. And unto Us ye will be returned. [AL-ANBIYA (THE PROPHETS) Chapter 21 – Verse 34 and 35]

Allah receiveth (men's) souls at the time of their death, and that (soul) which dieth not (yet) in its sleep. He keepeth that (soul) for which He hath ordained death and dismisseth the rest till an appointed term. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who take thought. [AZ-ZUMAR (THE TROOPS, THRONGS) Chapter 39 – Verse 42]

Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee; [ AL-NAML (THE ANT, THE ANTS) Chapter 27 – Verse 80]

    Martyr:

Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision. [AL-E-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF 'IMRAN, THE HOUSE OF 'IMRAN) Chapter 3 – Verse 169]

On the authority of Masruq, who said:

We asked Abdullah (i.e. Ibn Masud) about this verse: And do not regard those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead, rather are they alive with their Lord, being provided for (Quran Chapter 3 Verse 169). He said: We asked about that and the Prophet (pbuh) said: Their souls are in the insides of green birds having lanterns suspended from the Throne, roaming freely in Paradise where they please, then taking shelter in those lanterns. So their Lord cast a glance at them (1) and said: Do you wish for anything? They said: What shall we wish for when we roam freely in Paradise where we please? And thus did He do to them three times. When they say that they would not be spared from being asked [again], they said: O Lord, we would like for You to put back our souls into our bodies so that we might fight for Your sake once again. And when He saw that they were not in need of anything they were let be.

    (1) i.e. at those who had been killed in the cause of Allah.

It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).

This status of life Human Being couldn't understand with our Fault Intellect.

    Sir,

It could be their opinion but Dead means Dead, end of story and the life which was being trying to be proved above through interpreting differently cannot be perceived by those who are alive. For example the soil cannot harm the "Dead Body" of Prophets [PBUT] [Ref: Muslim] because their dead bodies have been declared forbidden for the soil [due to their status of blessed amongst men but still human].

So did Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) on the "night of Mirag" went up to heavens and met the "Dead" prophets?

  19. Aamir Mughal Avatar

    Sir,

There are thing on which we have to keep our faith and simply follow as they are explained. Maira'aj is entirely a different dimension and when we cannot understand that dimension [have ever heard the noise even a whisper of Kiraman Katibeen on our right and left shoulder recording our deeds] then how can we explain it. Allah is up there but how He is up there is not to be discussed but believe that He is up there as He tells us.

    let me give you example:

People say how can Birds Killed Elephants but if you would read Quran then you will be more amazed to know that Allah has a throne and the sun prostrates Allah.

Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, [ AL-HAJJ (THE PILGRIMAGE) Chapter 22 Verse 18]

More amazing is this that Not only the sun but other things as well praise Allah. [did anybody ever listened such praises through rational explanation]

The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him, and there is not a thing but hymneth His praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving. [AL-ISRA (ISRA', THE NIGHT JOURNEY, CHILDREN OF ISRAEL) Chapter 17 Verse 44]

Even more amazing is that He has a Throne and that too on a Water [Can rationalism prove that? Throne and that too of Allah and on Water but where??? Where is rationalism?]

His Throne was upon the water [HUD (HUD) Chapter 11 Verse 7]

People are amazed at Birds Killing Elephants therefore more amazement for you:

And we subdued the hills and the birds to hymn (His) praise along with David. We were the doers (thereof). [ AL-ANBIYA (THE PROPHETS) Chapter 21 Vere 79]

Can anyone define the below mentioned through Rational Explanation.

And indeed there are rocks which fall down for the fear of Allah. [AL-BAQARA (THE COW) Chapter 2 Verse 74]

      Mr. Mughal,

What I am trying to get at here is that if a muslim believes that prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) is "spiritually alive" or is "dead" and whether he or she has met Prophet Mohammad (Pbuh)(may be in a different dimension we can not understand like you said but somebody else might be able to) shouldn't be a cause of bickering and fighting amongst muslims. We shouldn't try to force our beliefs on each other. Rather we should tolerate and be understanding amongst each other.

I think we Pakistanis are one of weakest nation who is all time not interested in history and always day dreaming for good from worst circumstances.

1971 was biggest tragedy but all blunders and conspiracies were hidden under false statements.

Afghan war created hell like situation but we had been brain washed for another afghan war on the name of war on terror and repeated more deadly mistakes.

Since the time of Jinnah it was proved that religious conflicts are fabricated to triggered bloody riots in our soil and still we are doing this mistakes by producing different kind of clerics and division on religious concepts.

Political cartoons of typical parties come back again and again with different get ups and we forget their near history and again prove them our heroes.

So Pakistani nation is always failed in this history subject.

    =====================

    Dear Khan Sahab,

Owais Qarani [May Allah have mercy on his soul] wasn't a Companion of Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] but a Taba'ai [Those who met with the Companions of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)]

    Martyr:

And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. [AL-BAQARA (THE COW) Chapter 2 – Verse 154]

People to justify their wrong belief often quote this verse [to open the gate of Grave Worshiping amongst Muslims] but read the second part of the same verse:

    وَلَكِن لاَّ تَشْعُرُونَ

    only ye perceive not

When we cannot even perceive that dimension [that is being said by Allah] then how come we say they are alive and why don't we just leave this matter as "allegorical" [Ayat-e-Mutashabehaat].

    Minor Interpretation:

    Allah's statement:

(And say not of those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead.'' Nay, they are living,) indicates that the martyrs are alive and receiving their sustenance.

    Muslim reported in his Sahih:

(The souls of the martyrs are inside green birds and move about in Paradise wherever they wish. Then, they take refuge in lamps that are hanging under the Throne (of Allah). Your Lord looked at them and asked them, `What do you wish for' They said, `What more could we wish for while You have favored us with what You have not favored any other of your creation' He repeated the question again. When they realize that they will be asked (until they answer), they said, `We wish that You send us back to the earthly life, so that we fight in Your cause until we are killed in Your cause again,' (because of what they enjoy of the rewards of martyrdom). The Lord then said, `I have written that they will not be returned to it (earthly life) again.)

Imam Ahmad reported that `Abdur-Rahman bin Ka`b bin Malik narrated from his father that Allah's Messenger said:

    «نَسَمَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ طَائِرٌ تَعْلَقُ فِي شَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَهُ اللهُ إِلَى جَسَدهِ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُه»

(The believer's soul is a bird that feeds on the trees of Paradise until Allah sends it back to its body when the person is resurrected.)

This Hadith includes all the believers in its general meaning. Thus, the fact that the Qur'an mentions the martyrs in particular in the above Ayah serves to honor, glorify and favor them (although the other believers share the rewards they enjoy).

The prophet laid the foundation of Darul-Uloom, Deoband, India (in the 19th century) He comes to check accounts of the school. He has learnt the Urdu language. (Mubasshirat-e-Darul Uloom, and Deoband Number of the Darul-Uloom)

    Mr. Mughal,

I am not the best qualified person to be arguing this but I think I am allowed to speak what I think so here I go. Now look at this verse you gave me from Quran and the hadees below it. I think we have to get into meaning of the word "perceive" in arabic and I think it has a deeper meaning then just being able to understand or even see. Because there is an explantion below the verse in the hadees about understanding and also seeing because offcourse if the lanterns hang under the throne of Allah how would we be able to see. Allah knows best.

About people claiming things about Prophet (peace be upon him) "falsely" will have to answer to Allah sooner or later.

    Martyr:

And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah “dead.” Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. [AL-BAQARA (THE COW) Chapter 2 – Verse 154]

    only ye perceive not

    Muslim reported in his Sahih:

    Mr. Mughal,

another way of looking at it is analyzing "Nay they are living, only ye perceive not."

    does it mean?

    1. no they are living only you do not see.

    or

    2. no they are living only you do not understand.

    or

    3. no they are living only you are not aware through senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch).

    or

    4. no they are living only you do not know through senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch).

or something else cause you can get many other sentenses like this.

considering that we have the hadith telling us that:

    Muslim reported in his Sahih:

(The souls of the martyrs are inside green birds and move about in Paradise wherever they wish. Then, they take refuge in lamps that are hanging under the Throne (of Allah). Your Lord looked at them and asked them, `What do you wish for’ They said, `What more could we wish for while You have favored us with what You have not favored any other of your creation’ He repeated the question again. When they realize that they will be asked (until they answer), they said, `We wish that You send us back to the earthly life, so that we fight in Your cause until we are killed in Your cause again,’ (because of what they enjoy of the rewards of martyrdom). The Lord then said, `I have written that they will not be returned to it (earthly life) again.)

So I guess you would be right if you take the meaning as "no they are living only you do not see" about no body being able to see "shuhadah" and if they claim so then they are lieing.

But I guess you would be wrong if you talke the meaning as "no they are living only you do not understand" because if somebody claims to see on shaheed is only claiming to see but understanding that fact of them being living after being martyred they would not be able to claim.

    Allah knows best.

      Dear Arshad Sahab,

I have only one explanation for such issues and I have a firm belief on that verse which explains such issues e.g. [Barzakh – intermediate state] like above and many other such issues which cannot be explained:

He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations – they are the substance of the Book – and others (which are) allegorical. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed. [AL-E-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF 'IMRAN, THE HOUSE OF 'IMRAN) Chapter 3 – Verse 7]

Men of understanding said on such matters:

Imam Ahmad recorded that `A'ishah said, "The Messenger of Allah recited these verses (It is He Who has sent down to you the Book. In it are verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book; and others not entirely clear,), until, (Men of understanding) and he said, (When you see those who argue in it (using the Mutashabihat), then they are those whom Allah meant. Therefore, beware of them.)'' Al-Bukhari recorded a similar Hadith in the Tafsir of this Ayah ﴿3:7﴾, as did Muslim in the book of Qadar (the Divine Will) in his Sahih, and Abu Dawud in the Sunnah section of his Sunan, from `A'ishah; "The Messenger of Allah recited this Ayah, (It is He Who has sent down to you the Book. In it are verses that are entirely clear,) until, (And none receive admonition except men of understanding.) He then said, (When you see those who follow what is not so clear of the Qur'an, then they are those whom Allah described, so beware of them.)'' This is the wording recorded by Bukhari.

      [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]

      ===

Therefore I avoid discussing those matters which are "allegorical" in nature because such matters were discussed in the past by many and they couldn't give clear answer above all such matters even if discussed are of no use for our day to day life.

Of course it is a Book to be understood and followed but would you be able to explain the Verses given in Post Number 19. Or can even explain the Hadiths regarding lives of Martyr below:

Masrooq said: We asked ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood about this verse: “Think not of those as dead who are killed in the way of Allaah . Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:169]. He said: We also asked about that, and he (the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)) said: “Their souls are in the crops of green birds, which have lamps hanging from the Throne, and they roam freely wherever they want in Paradise, then they return to those lamps…” [Saheeh Muslim]

Ibn Abbaas said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When your brethren were slain at Uhud, your Lord put their souls in the crops of green birds that go to the rivers of Paradise and eat of its fruits, then they go back to lamps of gold that are hanging in the shade of the Throne. When they find their food and drink and abode they said: Who will convey to our brethren that we are alive in Paradise and receiving provision, so that they will not give up fighting or turn away from jihad? And Allaah said: I shall tell them about you. Then Allaah, may He be exalted, revealed the verse: ‘Think not of those as dead who are killed in the way of Allaah . Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision’ [Aal ‘Imraan 3:169].” [Musnad Ahmad, Abu Dawood and Mustadrak Al Haakim]

From Ibn ‘Abbaas that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I saw Ja’far ibn Abi Taalib as an angel flying in Paradise with the angels, with two wings.”

      [Tirmidhi and Mustadrak Al Hakim]

      Dear Khan Sahab,

Do ponder on the verses given in the post number Post number 17 about Death of every kind.

By the way when Martyrs are enjoying good life above why they would be coming back and above all why would they be giving "advices" [Read Kashf of Sufis] when we have Quran and Hadith with us to follow.

Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] said, upon him blessings and peace: I have left among you two matters by holding fast to which, you shall never be misguided: the Book of Allah and the Sunna of His Prophet. And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah “dead.” Nay, they are "living", only ye perceive not.

When we cannot even perceive that dimension [that is being said by Allah] then "how come we say they are alive" and why don’t we just leave this matter as “allegorical” [Ayat-e-Mutashabehaat].

Please look at the two quotations that I put in there in your comment and do you see where you are confusing me? and what do you mean by allegorical if you mean i understand you mean then Quran is there for us to try to read and understand. And also "they" in the quotation marks above do you mean "Prophets" or "shaheeds".

We should also keep this in mind that Prophets, Siddeeqs are far higher in status then a Martyr and after Martyr, righteous”.[al-Nisa’ 4:69]

Martyr's life is with Allah as indicated in Quran and Hadith and that life is of Barzakh which we [Human] cannot understand then if we cannot understand then how can we explain [must rely on whatever is explained in checked, verified and authentic Hadith] – Allah had not told us about it we would have no knowledge of it. Now can you tell me where you got this infomation below from?

If somebody claims that he is seeing a Shaheed [who is dead] then he is claiming the knowledge of Unseen and that is my dear Sir Kufr.

    1. Aamir Mughal Avatar

That's a claim of knowing Unseen [Ilm Ghayb] and it is apostasy [Kufr] because when Prophets didn't have that knowledge.

From trying to understand the this in English "knowledge of the unseen" also to me sounds allegorical(Ayat-e-Mutashabehaat which I understand to be unclear) with my limited knowledge and understanding. And ones who claim knowledge of unseen are wrong-doers(zalimin).

So don't you think you are trying to argue or explain allegorical(supposedly) with allegorical. Though if they are trying to cause dissension then they are to be aware of cause they have doubt in their hearts according to my understanding.

    Sir,

I just quoted the verse [HUD (HUD) Chapter 11 – Verse 31] to explain my point that when Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] was not given the Knowledge of Unseen [except for those things which Allah Himself deemed fit to share with Prophet to enable him to prove his Prophet-hood] otherwise there were many times during the life of Prophet Mohammad [PBUH] after his Prophet hood when he used to wait for months to clarify his position.

I quote allegorical verse to explain the status of Barzakh and the status of life therein, we can only explain as much as it is mentioned in Quran and Hadith and beyond that we should not go and those who tread on these paths often end up confused and unanswered.

    1. Arshad Khan Avatar
      Arshad Khan

      Mr. Mughal,

Let me try to clarify. What I am trying to say is that when people claim to see a shaheed(I don't really know of any who claim such conretely)or Prophet (peace be upon him)(I

"think" I have heard of that) are commiting Kufr because they are trying to claim what can not be perceived according to "1" ayat or knowledge of unseen according to ayat "2" below. As I understand you say you can call it kufr i.e that they are kafir in the light of Quran according to "2" ayat below. Then I replied to you in comment(28).

So let me try to clarify my comment (28) further what I am saying is that "2" ayat is also sounds allegorical to me because we don't know what Allah means by knowledge of the unseen unless there is more in Quran or hadees clarifying what is considered "knowledge of the unseen" or even "unseen". So when you say that people who claim to see a shaheed are are committing kufr i.e. are kafir the "2" ayat doesn't even mention of kufr rather "wrondoers". Plus how can you classify the people's claim of seeing or even "perceiving" a shaheed or prophet as "knowledge of the unseen". Plus this ayat "2" is about a prophet while ayat "1" is about shuhadah.

And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah “dead.” Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. [AL-BAQARA (THE COW) Chapter 2 – Verse 154]

      2. knowledge of the unseen:

I say not unto you: “I have the treasures of Allah” nor “I have knowledge of the Unseen,” nor say I: “Lo! I am an angel!” Nor say I unto those whom your eyes scorn that Allah will not give them good – Allah knoweth best what is in their hearts – Lo! then indeed I should be of the wrong-doers. [HUD (HUD) Chapter 11 – Verse 31]

I hope this clarifies my view and that you understand what I am saying. Again Allah knows best.

    Sir,

You can have opinion you like but in my humble view when somebody claims that he knows about the Barzakh and life therein then it is openly a Kufr [Disbelief] because when you have access to that dimension then everything is opened for you and you would have no need to have "FAITH" without seeing it [when you see Barzakh then you see angles, and chastisement in grave by the angles etc.etc and that is also a part of Knowledge of Unseen]. For further clarification:

Say (O Muhammad): None in the heavens and the earth knoweth the Unseen save Allah; and they know not when they will be raised (again). [AL-NAML (THE ANT, THE ANTS) Chapter 27 – Verse65]

And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record. [AL-ANAAM (CATTLE, LIVESTOCK) – Chapter 6 – Verse 59]

Lo! Allah! With Him is knowledge of the Hour. He sendeth down the rain, and knoweth that which is in the wombs. No soul knoweth what it will earn to-morrow, and no soul knoweth in what land it will die. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware. [LUQMAN (LUQMAN) Chapter 31 – Verse34]

(He is) the Knower of the Unseen, and He revealeth unto none His secret, [AL-JINN (THE JINN) Chapter 72 – 26]

‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “Whoever tells you that he knows what will happen tomorrow is lying.” Then she recited, “No person knows what he will earn tomorrow.” [Bukhari]

NOTE: Prophecies were given to the Prophets [PBUT] only by Allah to establish the Hujjat [Proof] of Prophethood and anyone other than Prophets [PBUT], no matter how great and pious in status, have no chance for any such reception from Allah like Prophets [PBUT] had.

My belief is explained in detail.
