PTA Blocks FIVE more Websites
In a recent development, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has gone further encroaching upon the the free and open Internet to block five more websites that are offending the breurcats in Islamanad. This letter was issued on the 25th of April and required all the ISP’s to comply within 24 hours.
It seems as if the situation is getting worse with time, we as Pakistanis need to challenge the unreigned supremacy and show the bureaucrats that they cannot take us for a free ride. I would also recommend you to read a very interesting writeup by The Glasshouse: Mush the Nervous

4. www.sanabaloch.com
5. www.hinduunity.com
ou are, requested to block access of the above websites immediately to your subscribers. Compliance report in this respect should reach to the undersigned on April 26, 2006 positively.

hey, it was only a matter of time before they used the blocking previlages to silence political backlashers :-)
Pakistan is simplly baby china I tell ya.
Im writing from the usa. Those sites look very boring; you’re not missing anything.
Well, not a surprise.
And about Pakistan being a mini-China, well, I have to come across a more loaded comment than this one :) … Pakistan is part China, part democratic republic, part dictatorship, part caliphate, part tribe, part warzone, part transit country, part failed state. And that is just to put it mildly. :) But it’s what we call home. Hmmmm…
And the comment that the sites are boring although come off as a consolation, but I guess the point is not the attractiveness of the site. It is the thought behind the action. A free nation should be allowed to subscribe to any point of view. The actions of that nation are to be curbed by law which has to pass through a ‘representative’ parliament who know a thing or two about “Islamic” and “Republic”. And none of the above mentioned traits are even in the vicinity of being possessed by the majority of Pakistanis. Hmph!
