It is without doubt that an entire nation actually sheds a tear on the death of Benazir Bhutto, she was a hero to many, and rival to others, but the bottom line is that she was a brave leader of our nation and her struggles for democracy will not go unremembered. May Her Soul Rest in Peace.
In an attempt to provide the online community and opportunity to offer their condolences to the grieving family and literally thousands of Peoples Party supporters I would like to initiate this condolence book for Benazir Bhutto. I will make it my own responsibility to present the entire list to the offices of the Pakistan Peoples Party to be attached with the main condolence book. Please Pay your respects below

I send condolences to the Bhutto family and the families and loved ones of all the others who perished in Pakistan due to the cowardice of those responsible. No words can put into perspective the impact Madame Bhutto had on the world around her; her legacy will not be forgotten. It is a sad day in Pakistani history.
Tugh ko kis phool ka kafan dain
tu juda aisa musmoon man hoa,
Jab darakhton ky hath khali hain
The “coward masters” n terrorists of country did want any popular leader, so BB was martyred. they were afraid of him. BB like her father ZA Bhutto would remain as threat to those even physically not present in this world.
“Tujh ko kis phool ka Kaffan hum daen, Tuo juda esi mosam mae huw jab darakhton k hath khali haen”!
(which kind of flower’s coufin offer u, you left in such season when the branches of trees are empty).
I never supported PPP or Bhutto but this is insane. I don’t want to even THINK she’s no more. She was a mother of three before being anyone else. My heart goes out to them as they have no one to hang on to. Their loss is one not even the nation can match. I lost a family member during her reign and through the atrocities of her govt but… I won’t say any more.
Being ethical civilians, lets not sling mud at one who cannot defend herself any more. Always respect the ones who’re no more as one day we won’t be around either. Inna lillah e wa inna ilaihe raajioon.
I am really sad about what happened to BBand others who died in the blast yesterday. This must serve as a warning for all of us,that, Religion and Politics is a very Lethal combination. We must avoid mixing the two
We must harden our resolve to defeat Terrorism/ fundamentalism. Talibanis have become synonymous for terror/fundamentalism
May BB rest in peace and god give her family. friends and her beloved ones, enough strength and courage to face this tragedy
Yes it’s tragic, but these things happen. People should move on and stop burning hospitals/schools/cars/buildings.
Perhaps after all this darkness, light will emerge. This could actually prove to be good for Pakistan in the long run.
Let us not make a martyr or legend out of a mere human being. May God rest her soul in peace, but the legacy she left behind is questionable.
Growing up in India, Benazir Bhutto remained a alluring figure, beautiful, impossibly brave, tragically flawed, and bearing the heavy burden of destiny. Her death is a tragedy of immense proportions, for all those who hoped for a better South Asia.
She was like most politicians that have come to power in Pakistan. The daughter of a landlord, who have made millions with the blood and sweat of the poor and uneducated masses, who know no better.
She died horribly and though I shall not judge how much she deserved it, I can’t help but feel nothing towards her family or her children. I’m sure her party and her felt nothing either when they killed the innocent, the opposition and the unknown.
This goes for every politician that has taken power or ever will.
The only way to change this downward spiral, is to educate the people.
Benazir Bhutto was a beautiful and idealistic woman when she came to Pakistan’s rescue in 1988. Growing up as the scion of one of its most powerful political families imposed enormous responsibilities on her and created perhaps unrealistic expectations of what she could deliver to save her chaotic country from disintegration. Her father, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, reportedly encouraged her as an up-and-coming politician to study the lives of history’s great women leaders, from Joan of Arc to Indira Ghandi, so she could prepare to lead Pakistan.
Benazir Bhutto was a brave woman. She was the face of modernity that Pakistan needed to salvage its descent into a sea of Islamist darkness. She should be remembered as a guardian of Pakistan’s identity as a modern Islamic nation. Her death need not be the beginning of Pakistan’s end. She was indeed, daughter of the East.
I am deeply shocked and saddend by this tragedy. This is indeed a great loss to Pakistan and its nation. May Allah rest her sole in peace and give courage to her family to bear this huge loss.
She was brave leader like her father Allah bless her soul ameen
She was a good leader, daughter of a great father. But she was bold and seemed to have vision after she came back. Though, she may not have been perfect but in these time of hopelessness she brought vibrancy and life to the Pakistani political Culture. She was killed by a third rate punk, an infidel of humanity who will burn in hell for eternity. Benazir, may u rest in peace.
Friends and Citizens of Pakistan,
While there would be a lot of condemnation, and feelings of loss throughout Pakistan, I too feel a hollowness within me at the dastardly attack on a national figure of Pakistan politics. Benazirs love for her country and that of her father has been established by the final argument a person can muster, that is to give up the most treasured possession. May her soul rest in peace and may the sorrow in her immediate family be lessened by the fact that she was one brave lady who in spite of warnings stayed on the road of her convictions, until there was no road left to travel upon and the legs of life itself buckled from under her.
Does it not show that the task to save Pakistan is gigantic? This is where all of us come in, to bear this burden with more strength. Dont lose hope our struggle is further intensified. If we did not know the dangers which exist, we are sure now.
May our sorrow turn to anger at those who want to destroy this country.
With compassion, tears and hope,
Dr Arif Alvi

“Only low life cowards would kill a wonderful woman like her.”
This is the sort of foolish nonsense spouted after 9/11. It is WORSE than foolish – it is the height of arrogance and stupidity.
The men who did this are motivated, ruthless and brave. They willingly destroyed themselves to accomplish their mission.
That mission may be odious. Their motives may be appalling. Their methods may be brutal, barbaric and utterly abhorrent.
But these men – these militants – these terrorists; they are may be all of these things…
But they are NOT cowards.
By labeling them “cowards” in an attempt to degrade them, we vastly underestimate their resolve, dismiss their motives out of hand (and so greatly misunderstand them) and persuade ourselves that the danger is far less real than it actually is.
Men who attack in broad daylight within a crowd, employing tactics that are premised upon the **certainty of their own deaths** may be the vilest bastards who walk the Earth…
But they are NOT cowards.
my dear pakistani friends , i love pakistan, i offer my condolenses on sad demise of benzir bhutto. may allah would be with u

I was fortunate to have attended a speech by Benazir Bhutto at the University of Texas at Arlington.
She was truly a fascinating and courageous woman.
Please accept my most sincere condolences. True Democrats the world over are grieving tonight . May the light of her sacrificed life bring human rights and dignity to a suffering Pakistani people.
This comes as a grim warning for the future of world politics.
It’s time for voices of peace from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh to come together and forge stronger ties.
There are directions from her life that we need to draw from.Gender Equality, self-sustenance and democracy.
May she rest in peace.
Aameen.
From Portland, Oregon, USA: We are grieving with you.
Perhaps the only Pakistani Leader who commanded such respect Internationally and a Staunch support camp locally. She was Charisma embodied. A Brave woman who suffered a lot during her lifetime.
I do not agree to all her acts maybe but i agreed with her Zeal and her Spirit for Democracy..
She will continue to inspire our generations to come..
May Allah Bless her Soul..
The whole world is crying. A brave and beautiful woman, dedicated to making the world a better place. My heart is broken.

Innallillah-e-wainnaelaih-e-rajioon.
like most of the people of pakistan (whether a supporter of PPP or not), i am shocked and saddened that another pakistani leader has been targeted and taken away but i felt proud to learn through CNN the last words on B.B's toungue were Allah.
i would like to draw the attention to what pakistan has been going through since the time it achieved independence.. what group/system is behind it? Secondly, the Bhutto family has always been targetted! Thirdly, the people who seem to be running the global show know for a fact that if they want something (like so-called terrorism) to spread like a Cancer, all they need to know is to create a hype about it as much as they can in every possible way, but some of our leaders do not realise this, and i am afraid by the time they do it may be too late, may Allah keep us under His protection.
It is black day in the history of Pakistan!
Friends, please rise above yourselves at such a tragic time of national disaster. The objective of this Condolence Book is to condole with the family and friends of Benazir Bhutto and if you cannot find it in your hearts to do so, then it is best to refrain and not say anything. It should not be too much to ask to show respect to the dead, especially one who has been your leader, not once but twice and who was, if nothing else, an extremely courageous woman. Our hearts bleed for all those who lost their lives on this fateful day, but given the stature of this political leader, it is understandable that messages are going out for her in particular. May the souls of all those who lost their lives yesterday in this dastardly act, rest in peace and may God grant their loved ones the courage and fortitude to bear their loss.
We lost one of the great leader in islamic world due to coward act of so called fake jihadis who taarnish islams image all over the world as their killings of innocent lives, Indeed Benazir was so great, unique, and srong women in islamic politic, where islams give more freedom to woman but these killers do not know the vlue of real islam and humanbeing.
May almighty Allahu subhanahu tha ala grant her JENNATHUL FIRDOUZ, Amin

This is such a tragedy for us all to loose someone like Benizar in such a tragic manner and in prime of her political life. It has saddened and shocked us beyond words. She has proved beyond the shadow of doubt that she was a brave woman who lived up to her promise to her late father and her people. One can only pray for her soul and her family and that the ALMIGHTY will give her the rewards of a martyr.
Who ever is responsible for her assasination is certainly part of a huge plot and consipricy against Pakistan and the people of Sindh. It is time we stood up to these forces of evil and conspirators against the motherland and to honour Benazir for her bravery and beliefs. May Allah bless her and give strength to her family to bear this tragic and sad loss.AMEEN

I was totally in a deep shock to hear about the assassination of the late Benazir Bhutto, may she rest in peace! She was a brave leader and woman pioneer. As a Jew, I totally reject such despicable deeds. I call for peace, love and compassion.I think that she has to get the Nobel prize for peace for the next year. My condolences to the Pakistani people.
i am an indian, but i feel sad about benazir and people of pakistan, its high time that people of south asia realize that the real enemies of our countries are the extreme minded fundamentalists, its unfortunate to see one after the another tragic events happening in pakistan. i hope and wish peoples rule come back to pak. and people fight back against the dictatorship, corrupt politicians and terrorists. none of us want to witness a second afghanistan in making.
if there is worst to come in future than yesterdays event then i would urge pakistanis to speak up and fight against the decaying system and establish your “own” rule for better and peaceful south asia.

from indonesia : May Tuhan blessed my beloved Benazir Bhutto and May Tuhan forgive her
May you rest in peace.
Larkana should be re-named Bhutto City.
Benazir’s demise not only leave the nation shocked but has orphaned the masses who followed her like a child following his mum. Sindhis especially are aggrieved because they feel there only representation has been taken away from them. Her father had many qualities and although other qualities may well be debatable but there is no doubt that she was as courageous as a her father. To me possessing this quality is enough to mourn her death and my heart goes to her family and all the Pakistanis and non Pakistanis who admired her as leader. She was a courageous daughter of a courageous father.

from france : i’m in pain with Pakistani’s people
I was shocked and saddened to hear about the death of Mrs Benazir Bhutto’s. I am not a muslim or from Pakistan, but I am human and felt she would not only be a benefit to Pakistan, but to the world. She stood alone in wantingthe best for her people and they have been robbed of a kind and loving person. May she rest in peace and know she will be missed and admired for her brave stance. R.I.P Benazir Bhutto.
Shame on you Sameer. You are after all a muhajir with only hatred in heart for the rest of Pakistan and any leader who has country wide following. Since you yourself are restricted to Karachi and Hiaderabad, you cannot think beyond this self confined shell. What about your MQM butchering people all over Karachi for the last 20 years or so? Can’t you see those killings? Or in your ethics, dead bodies also have ethinic rexognition? You people just can show filthy minds and behaviour and nothing else. One should not pay any heed to rubbish like you. You are surperised that a leader could be so brave like BB and Nawaz Sharif. Your own is sitting in London, with a British passport and dare not come back. So you belong to a people suffering from inferiority complex and therefore worth taking pitty upon.
I strongly condemn killing of the National level elader who had following all over the country. She laid down her life in trying to exercise her right of playing her role in the politics. Alas the time has come when the govt has made it impossible for those who are true leaders and have nation wide following. I salute her and like of her who are not ready to leave their right of taking part in real time politics no matter what the cost. I salute her and pray that may Allah Allmighty give her eternal peace. Ameen

I am very sad for her kids and supporters of PPP.

“Oh just and Good God, repairer of evils and injustices, It is to thee I appeal the sentence of my judges. Do not avenge me; do not punish them; but deign to enlighten them and soften them. Abbe Raynal, reporting on the trial of Polly Baker, 1747
quote excerpt from:
“Benjamin Franklin, Genius of kites, Flights and Voting Rights By Seymour Stanton Block, pub. 2004 by McFarland and Co.
This comment was written by a man covering a trial during the birth of the United States of America. While the accused in this trial had absolutely nothing to do with the dear Bhutto, I believe our modern leader would have shared Raynal’s sentiments. Bhutto reminds me very much of the American revolutionary leaders of 220 years ago, and I can only hope her followers will continue on their path to democracy.
God Bless.
We are witnessing a terrible time in human history. I agree that many frightening words describe these perpetrators: deranged, evil, cold-blooded, cunning, etc., but not cowardly. We can’t underestimate the extent of the horrible force for evil that such terrorists are. If there is a God — please hear our cry for protection and courage of our own!! Do not abandon us!
The whole team of Tamilsudr daily deeply mourn the sad death of Benazir Bhutto. We appreciate her courage.. the way she fought till last breath for bringing democracy back .. for the people…
from the netherlands we want to express our condolences to benazir bhutto’s husband, children, relatives, friends and supporters. what a shame for the beautiful state of pakistan.
Here in Chennai, (India) people are concerned about the way a woman legend happened to die due to poor security provided …. hope pakistan will learn lessons from nations that are already crumbled under civil unrest.. patience and peace alone could save pakistan
CW writes that the perpetrators of crimes like this are “deranged, evil, cold-blooded, cunnning, etc., but not cowardly.” I disagree… They are indeed “evil, cold-blooded, cunning, etc.,” but they are also cowards, because only cowards would blow up women, children and innocent civilians, and suicide itself is a coward’s way out.
My heart goes out to Benazir Bhutto, to her family, and to all who genuinely morn her death, as I do. I admired this woman with all my heart and the world is a lesser place because of her absense. The ramifications of this obscene crime may prove to be horrendous!
May God bless you and keep you, Benazir. You were a couragous woman who truly loved your country and you will be missed by millions.
(United States)
It is indeed an irrepairable loss.
It is with heartfelt sorrow and a heavy heart that I wish to express my condolences to Benazir Bhuttos family and countrymen and women. It is a very sad day not only for Pakistan, but for the world as well, as she was such an incredible and inspirational woman and was much akin to Martin Luther King who had hopes and dreams of a better world for all. May these dreams still continue to live in all of us who go forward in her fight and struggles for these beliefs that the world can and will be a better place for our children.
Many blessings to her family and to Pakistan. She lives in our hearts and minds forever.
Kevin/Norfolk Virginia
She was the best, the most prestigious, and also the most courageous Muslim Woman ever, all around the World ! Shame on those who killed such an unforgetable icon ! After some years, no one will ever remember the name of al qaida and other criminals while every one will still mourn Mohtarma B. B., her spirit and vision. My condolences go to all her relatives including all Pakistani brothers who have lost their sister and their most cherished Ambassador. May be Peace descend upon Her Soul and on the whole Land of the Pures + ! …
We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Benazir Bhutto.
