If you were for a moment, believe in all the BS that comes out of America then this must be probably yet another sparkling attempt to fool the world for the umpteenth time.
The new ‘story’ behind Dr. Afia’s sudden sudden disappearance may have something to do with the accidental FBI revelation previously on Thursday which has suddenly been transformed into one where they have allegedly found Dr. Afia on July 17th 2008 loitering around an Afghan governors compound carrying documents for creating explosives, excerpts from the Anarchist’s Arsenal, sealed bottles filled with liquids and gels [I’m impressed that she was not carrying the bomb itself while loitering around with every possible incriminating evidence stashed in her purse]. Upon her arrest the Afghan police dutifully presented her for questioning the next day where an American military officer happened to place an M-4 next to her, she naturally went crazy, fired two shots [screaming Allah-o-Akbar {Alert Alert! Oh my gosh thats a keyword sure to land her into Gitmo}] and in the tussle got shot in the torso by the military officer acting in ‘self defense’. [WOW that script must be from a page torn out of some James Bond movie.]
I don’t even have to ask anyone to read in-between the lines – its simply apparent. Just because an FBI team accidentally coughed up an admittance on Thursday that Dr. Afia actually was confined in an American jail in Afghanistan, they now needed to supply a public alibi, how would she look tortured, battered and terrorized walking into a New York court house sporting a bullet wound in her hip. Yes they needed an elaborate story [yet stupid] combined with a few testimonials to support their claims
It truly infuriates me that they kidnapped her on absolutely no charge held her captive for over five years and then to rub salt on our wounds try to cook up a lame ass excuse of assaulting an officer [who is then responsible for the five years of mental and physical assault on her and her children (???)] I have little words to express my anger, the anger of a nation, the anger of seeing a women brutalized and made insane simply because she was rumored to have been a key figure in Al-Qaida.
American officials said they had no knowledge of Ms. Siddiqui’s location for the past five years until July 17, when Ms. Siddiqui and a teenage boy were detained in Ghazni, Afghanistan, after local authorities became suspicious of their loitering outside the provincial governor’s compound. When they searched Ms. Siddiqui’s handbag, the Afghan police found documents describing the creation of explosives as well as excerpts from the “Anarchist’s Arsenal.” She also carried sealed bottles and glass jars filled with liquids and gels.
The day after she was detained, an American team, including two F.B.I. agents, two American soldiers and interpreters, went to the police station to talk to her. The F.B.I. has wanted her for questioning since May 2004, a Justice Department spokesman said. The complaint gave the following account of what happened next. Americans entered a room in the police station, unaware that Ms. Siddiqui was being held there, unsecured, behind a curtain. One of the soldiers, a warrant officer, sat down and placed his M-4 rifle on the floor next to the curtain.
Shortly after the meeting began, the other soldier, a captain, heard a woman yelling from the curtain. He turned to see Ms. Siddiqui pointing the warrant officer’s rifle at him. The interpreter sitting closest to Ms. Siddiqui lunged at her and pushed the rifle away as she pulled the trigger and shouted, “God is Great.” She fired at least two shots, but no one was hit. The warrant officer returned fire with his 9mm pistol, hitting Ms. Siddiqui at least once in the torso. Ms. Siddiqui struggled when officers tried to subdue her, shouting in English that she wanted to kill Americans. After she was subdued, the complaint said, she “temporarily lost consciousness.”
Ms. Siddiqui was charged Monday with one count of trying to kill American officers and employees and one count of assaulting them, the Justice Department said. If convicted, she faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for each count.

It is frustrating how the NY Times (among other websites) had to use an ‘undated image’ instead of a more recent one.
The best way to let the world know about the attrocities committed by the US is serious blogging. Let the world know about American attrocities. We should also write about the double standards of organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. If anything of the kind happens in Pakistan, they raise a lot of hue and cry and when the perpetrators are their own people they keep mum and do not utter a word.
I don’t have sympathy for Dr.Afia Siddique as she was definitely involved in terrorism-related activates (there’s no doubt) but having said that Pakistan should have jailed her in Pakistan and trailed her in Pakistan instead selling her miserable soul to the US. That(s) what I am angry at that she should have been imprisoned in Pakistan instead of America,.

Well Barrister Sahib, you say Dr. Afia Siddiqui was definitely involved in terrorism related activities. But its strange and rather anamolous that you have unilaterally indicted Dr. Afia of terrorism. Even the Americans have not yet been able to level plausible charges against her, and she is yet to be brought before a US court of law to prove case against her.
If you do have some inside info, plz do bring before the readers of this blog so that people know what is what. Without any evidence it does not behove a barrister to declare somebody as having committed a crime or an offence.
Look at the difference between US and Taliban. Taliban kept a woman in captivity and she embraced Islam. US kept Dr Afia in captivity and look at what these Haram Khaurs have done to the daughter of Pakistan.

Where the human rights NGO’s? At least Pakistani NGO’s should come up and not only protest on this issue but take some serious action on it but they can’t because they all are anti Pakistan. When there is some one who is proved to be criminal and involved in terrorist activities they liberate them from Pakistan with protocol. That is horrible.

There(s) no doubt that Dr.Afia was involved in dodgy business (her movements speak for herself). My point is that she should have been trailed in Pakistan and hanged ; giving her to the US is wrong and should be condemned. Now since she has suffered so much ; she should be detained for life inside Pakistan.
For those familiar with US track records know the script too well. For those finding similarities with Hollywood movies are not too far off the mark either! Lies after lies, deception, distortion, mind-control, behavior modification and physical and mental tortures are amongst the few weapons in the arsenal of the Great Satan.
Fortunately, most people are NOT fooled by such dramas. Fortunately, there are those (even in Umreeka) who do NOT buy into the whitewashing of human atrocities of unlimited proportions committed under the guise of ‘war-on-terror’.
Of course, there are some (even our own) – mostly sitting in cozy Ivy-League settings, who either look the other way or make half-baked analysis right off the red-neck Radio & TV talk-shows in States. If you would question their hypocrisy they will mimic the usual neo-con stereotype ranting about Muslims not sufficiently realigned or re-engineered to their version or taste.
What is also most unfortunate is that our mainstream media and blogosphere have either ignored the story for too long or now playing the wishy-washy job on us. It was Yvonne Ridley, BBC/CNN – before you saw on most mainstream channels? (We must however recognize folks like the two journalist at The Jang and folks like pkpolitics, adnan siddiqi and teeth maestro and some others for standing up when it matters the most).
The blackout was definitely not because of lack of electricity power. To say, that they were in a helpless or imminent danger situation, is like a fireman saying that he can’t go in there – its a big fire! Keeping the oppressor and oppressed at the same level all in the name of neutrality??
As Teeth Maestro aptly noted: to “supply a public alibi” this horrifying story is being railroaded according to script: enemy non-combatants tormented in solitary confinement under excruciating conditions, raped, drugged, electro-shocked and finally lobotomized into submission (one of the most inhumane method of mind-control employed by US agencies is the psychosurgery, better known as “lobotomy” – an operation that modifies behavior by destroying brain cells).

Dr Afia – abducted in 2003. Assured by Pakistani officials as well as American officials to the family members regarding Afia’s return. Afterwards denying information regarding her whereabout. Again denying her detention by Pakistani or American officials. She is found near Ghazni governor palace on 17 July, 2008 along with a child. Arrested and presented before the FBI team. She takes up the rifle of American soldier and fires. Retaliated by FBI officer with pistol. Where was she between 2003 and 17 July, 2008? The US administration should persecute the people who could not create even a lie-story properly. For what they are paid. And what story is in the pocket of American slaves in Pakistan? May be they would try to create a more credible story in this regard to please their American bosses.
Dr. Afia finally surfaced…by the FBI. American Joker script writers failed to impress a single person with their loose plot against an innocent, helpless and illegally detained PhD whose life with her children was turned into mess due to false and baseless allegations.
I have strong understanding that the champion of human rights the USA Government has crossed all the boundaries of inhuman acts. The atrocities against a helpless female is an examples which caught the attention of the Media…nobody knows how many Abu Ghraib and Bagram like torture factories are in action today. People without having any proper access to judiciary are kept there since years.
Dr. Afia was finally traced but we all know that the list is not too short. The processions of missing persons’ relatives
are continuously seen in the capital. The most cruel dictator of the history is finding ways to hide his face from the reality that he sold the innocent people of Pakistan just to fill the file record of FBI without giving them access to local courts to prove their innocence.
With the news of President losing power every day …it is time to put more pressure on this traitor to publicize the list of those who are missing without being charged. Dr. Afia and many others are facing the worst period of their lives for the sin they never committed.
The voice is surely needed to be raised. Daring people like Imran Khan, Ansar Burni, Iqbal Haider and Zia Awan should come forward to help those people to break the chains. By the way …where is Asma Jehangir…its strange she is silent today!!!!

Dr. Afia was educated and grew up in USA. We cannot expect her to be brash and violent by picking up such a heavy gun and aiming at the american officers.
A lady was tortured brutally, rapes several times, beaten badly, hit on the face. If she was a suspect, why was she treated this way? Why wasnt she questioned with words? Why wasnt her dignity protected? Why wasnt she protected? What was done to her that she is not in her sense anymore? IS THIS ALL JUSTIFIED??

I don’t understand. How is there “no doubt” in your mind that she is guilty. And even if she is guilty (as an MIT student and a PhD. holder saying “I wanna kill all Americans” is hard to beleive), does she not deserve an open trial instead of covert captivity.
And then why is “giving her” to the U.S not right if she is guilty. She is a U.S citizen and alegedly plotted to kill Americans and not Pakistanis.

The picture tells the true story about Americans. Please beware that the American citizens are NOT behind such terrorism rather their rulers are those gangsters who try to make this world full of worries. I am simply enraged ever since I have heard of this story. But my rage is more upon our rules, than it is upon the Americans, for they will do whatever their devilish goals will dictate.
But it is our shameless and honor less rulers who sold this daughter to their enslavers. These feudal and military higher-ups have hijacked this country since its birth and by now have brought it, God forbid, almost to the brink of extinction. They have made the lives of people miserable.
Thus it is time we, the ordinary people, realize this that we cannot sit down idle, pinning our hopes on one leader after the other. We need to break start relying on ourselves and not on one person to solve our problems. We will need to get physically involved, and the leader must be made; not selected or elected.
We need to start at the grass roots; by investing in the proper upbringing of the young generation. Somewhere along the passage, we lost the lessons that gave rise to great leaders. China and Russia are our neighbors and we can see how they are changing. We are 20 times as hard working and passionate. We need the right leaders and they can only come thru focusing on how to make them. Our schools, teachers and parents (and specially mothers) should take the following as the highest responsibility thing – in fact the only thing:
– teach them to become better Muslims
– teach them to become rulers so that they can rule with justice
– teach them to make Pakistan and Islam strong
Coming to this matter, I can only pray that may Allah make her miseries go away and let this be the last issue of its kind. From here on; we, as a nation, wow to never let such shame come upon us again; and work to turn our fortune around. It is a cruelty with no equal that they handed over a daughter of the country along with her younglings to the foreigners. Her lost five years are not going to come back; but punishing the rulers who architected this whole thing might bring some consolation to the bereaved family.
