In the past few weeks there has been a buzz spreading around Pakistan’s digital world talking about the recent fame surrounding the TV show personality Zaid Hamid who conducts a show on TV One called Brasstacks. It should be mentioned that brasstacks is reportedly a paid-for show which has started airing barely a few months back and has developed a very strong following amongst the masses. Admittedly Zaid Hamid is quite eloquent in his show and is well versed in his explaining his innumerable concepts of ranging from economic terrorism by the Zionists to other such issues which are poised at him even Islamic issues
I too have been guilty of occasionally catching a glimpse of his show and did even carry his five part series on Economic Terrorism. All seemed well until a close associate contacted me via facebook sharing his concerns about Zaid Zaman Hamid and revealed his suspicious association with Yousuf Ali, a self proclaimed prophet from Lahore in the 1990’s. Zaid Zaman was purportedly the right hand man of Yousuf Ali and was fondly referred to as his Hazrat Ali. Zaid Zaman was instrumental in spreading the message of prophecy far across Pakistan, to develop a large cult like following in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad mostly due to Zaid Zaman’s excellent communication skills.
Yousuf Ali had been preaching his divine revelation to his followers for quite many years when finally a handful defected and braved to testify against him in the Lahore High Court which ultimately gave Yousuf Ali, a death sentence on charges of Blasphemy. Yousuf Ali was then confined to Kot Lakhpath jail and in 2001 was shot dead by a fellow prisoner. Throughout the legal proceedings one witness after another testified to the fact that Zaid Zaman was a key figure in the promotion of Yousuf Ali’s Kazzab movement. I have been told that there even does exists an analog video of Zaid Zaman standing beside Yousuf Ali while he addressed his followers in Lahore. Somehow the fact that Zaid Zaman was a key figure in this movement is generally a foregone conclusion, as there are one too many eye witnesses and more importantly numerous had testified the fact which may even be present in the records of Lahore High Court, including Zaid Zaman’s testimony to the honorable judge, all records are securely preserved in the archives of Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat in Karachi.
The Zaid Zaman Hamid storm actually started with the email from Naufil Shahrukh, a close friend whom I have known since 1990, the email at first in the form of a private message on Facebook but soon propagated online and published on Dictatorship Watch, verbatim
If you guys remember the Pakistan false prophet, Yousuf Ali, who was arrested and sentenced to death by the Lahore High Court and then murdered in Kot Lakhpat jail by a fellow prisoner – this guy Zaid Hamid was known as Zaid Zaman at that time and was the Khalifah of that Kazzab. Zaid is still leading that cult which belongs to the Firqah Batinyah of Sufism and they have a different aqeedah altogether which they only profess within their inner core. Many of my personal friends fell prey to his charisma in the 1990s, some of them reverted back to Hidayah and were instrumental in filing a case against Yusuf Ali which ultimately lead to his death sentence and the cult members dispersed for a few years.
The time line of events that he narrates in his letter are erringly accurate and when Naufil mentioned to me later pointing out the common friends who fell prey to this cult one does weigh in a sigh of relief to have been spared of the poison. The most logical reason as to why our neighborhood was penetrated to such an extent can be attributed to the fact that Zaid Hamid hailed from our locality. Off the friends who willingly embraced Yousuf Ali’s prophecy was Ryzwan Tayyab who very soon featured himself as a militant leader of the movement and after the collapse of this movement has retreated into a cocoon of severe depression irreparably damaging his family around him. Ryzwan was also involved in actually issuing death threats to the few journalists who were critically investigating Yousuf Ali back in those days.
The resurfacing of Zaid Hamid after 15 years of hibernation is interesting, he catapults himself in 2006 as a security threat analyst frequently publishing PDF based Pakistan threat reports for a subscription fee of Rs. 25,000 but within a span of a two years mustered up enough finances to launch a self sponsored TV show which started transmission in the early months of 2008, suspiciously timed around the fall of the Pervaiz Musharraf’s regime. The sudden shot to fame on TV is being compared to the launch of Dr. Shahid Masood’s End of Time series, which too was based on an eloquent anchor with one too many theories to present.
Off the numerous people stepping forth to expose Zaid Hamid the must read narration is of a two year email correspondence between Zaid Hamid and Abidullah Jan. It gives an insight onto Zaid Zaman when he first started sharing his BrassTacks Security reports, slowly moving into becoming a much sought after personality. What was interesting to read was when in the early months of 2007 Zaid Zaman approached Abidullah Jan struggling to stay afloat and requested Abid to help promote his security reports to a wider audience “I am in need of some clients to stay afloat as I am being squeezed by the government’s men for being too open and ruthless”. Zaid Hamid a few months later, after the 3rd Nov Martial Law appeared on a couple of pro-Musharraf TV shows on PTV with Ahmed Qureshi. Then suddenly out of the blue he is able to muster up enough finances to launch a self sponsored show on TV One. Watching a person flutter from being financially strapped and haunted by ‘government’s men’ to appearing on a pro-Musharraf show, then having catapulting into his own show seems all too suspiciously the work of some ‘hidden hands‘
If coincidence was anything to go by, I also noted that around this time emerged Zaid Hamid’s articles on a very staunch pro-Musharraf proponent Ahmed Quraishi who continues to wage an online battle with the Anti-Musharraf sect. When today I inquisitively launched a witch hunt for Zaid Hamid on the website I was surprised to see that quite a few of Zaid Hamid’s editorials were missing for example the January 29th article which should have led to the page has been removed from the website sometime after September 5th 2008 [as indicated by the Google Cache] and this is not the only article missing of the series, I wonder why the sudden cover up after September 5th by Ahmed Quraishi.
The only acknowledgment of any link with Yousuf Ali came from an email shared with me privately where Zaid Hamid Alhamdolillah, i have nothing to do with Yousuf or his beliefs or any other people like him.
Lest I be charged of taking this message out of context I share with you the entire section of the email so people may understand his response fully

He showed me the world and people, but kept me away from their harm and made me benefit from any khair they had.
I also met and studied many objectionable people who were controversial but in the end Allah kept me away from them. It was all learning experiences. Alhamdolillah, i have nothing to do with Yusuf or his beliefs or any other people like him
Though he puts forth a convincing argument but it seems yet again that he refuses to acknowledge his association with Yousuf Ali to categorically say that he has “nothing to do with Yousuf or his beliefs” is this admittance of his association or denial of the fact?
Proponents of Zaid Hamid continue to plead his innocence even today as Pakistan First blog, which has been previously labeled to have a strong pro-Musharraf tilt, shared an article by Asif Shiraz who writes Zaid Hamid: As I knew him
I first met Zaid hamid at the youthful age of 17, when the emotions were high, and the search for truth pristine and innocent. A friend had told me about Zaid Hamid, and I was anxious to meet him: I was not disappointed. Our first meeting was a blast. I enjoyed Zaid sahib’s charismatic talk on many different issues, especially his passion about Islam and his knowledge on a diverse set of subjects. Although it’s been many years now, I still remember highlights of that conversation: Quotations from Iqbal, recollection of glorious events from the lives of the Sahaba, and discussion of the relevance of having truth faith “Yaqin”. Not once on that day, nor ever afterwards in these fifteen years, have I ever heard anything from Zaid Hamid which is incongruent to ideas present in mainstream religious teachings of Ahl-e-Sunnah wal-jamaat. No mention of any “cult ideology”, and no reference to anyone claiming “prophethood” whatsoever. He is a firm believer in Khatme-e-Nabuwat and the finality of Prophet Muhammad(sm). In fact, Zaid Hamid is the only person whom I have met, who lives in a rented home, but still spends a handsome chunk of his earnings every year to pay a visit to the blessed cities of Hijaz-e-Muqaddas. It is nothing other than Zaid Hamid’s love and devotion to the Prophet(sm) that he has visited Masjid-e-Nabwi more than 10 times. After the first initial meeting, I have been in touch with Zaid Hamid off and on for many years, until I moved to Chaklala Scheme III becoming his neighbor and an even closer friend.
Asif Shiraz does admit in his article that he is now a neighbor of Zaid Hamid but surprisingly fails to disclose that he is an employee of BrassTacks as proclaimed by him in this Facebook message (Screen capture) whilst a little investigation also sheds some light that Mr. Asif Shiraz incidentally happens to be the Administrative domain contact for Zaid Hamid’s website Brasstacks.biz (screen capture)
It is sadly Asif Shiraz’s attempt to stand up for his boss only goes to discredit Zaid Zaman. To analyze Zaid Hamid’s Brasstacks TV show one should read the two articles published in The News by Fasi Zaka September 18th The Pakistan Report and on 25th September published a follow up titled Hate Speech – II
My concern here remains is that Zaid Zaman is appearing on public TV and continues to eloquently preach his philosophy to the public at large, had if this individual remained as private entity, then we would have had no right to question his beliefs, but once he dons the public forum, then I feel it is the right of the people to know the facts. Generally as a free society we cannot stop him from sharing his opinion with the public at large but it is our right to question his logic and any underlying issues that may tarnish his analysis as he chooses to present to the public, and in the same pretext its important to then question his association with the self proclaimed prophet a notion strictly prohibited in the religion of Islam.
The mystery surrounding this controversy seemingly gets worse with every passing day, could it be a mere propaganda, could it be his attempt to cover up his past, or does he simply choose ignore and hopefully forget, but more importantly does he still believe in the prophecy, so many questions, all shall remain a mystery until he alone chooses to address the propaganda and clarify his position once in for all

I am only a friend and former neighbour of zaid sahib. I am not an “employee” of the BrassTacks company that zaid hamid runs. Back when he started his company he requested me to get him a domain name for him which I did. Even in the domain registration thing they posted on the web it is clearly written underneath it that I work for American ebusiness solutions.
Now I volunteer free of charge for the new BrassTacks website, just like scores of other people are working for BrassTacks all around the world. I never got nor get any salary and am not an employee.

Do you have proof that its TV1 own presentation? I have just contacted my friends who is Producer in TV1 and he confirmed that its not TV1’s presentation. And an Info is that Tahir A Khan has made his mind to close this show but he is unable to do it due to the pressure from ISI.

1, Why Iftikhar Chaudry only raised Steel Mill privatization issue? Why not
other privatizations? What were his and his team’s stakes in that deal?
2, In his whole career, what he has done to facilitate justice to poor
people of Pakistan? Did he do anything for the lower courts when he was
Chief Justice? Why he did not change the system when he had the authority?
Do you know to how many people he gave justice in his whole career?
3, Why he is not responding to the accusations against him mentioned in the
reference? The reference was filed by the Pak President of that time to the
Supreme Judicial council – that was the constitutionally right and the
correct step. Why did Supreme Court illegally interfered in the matter of
Supreme Judicial Council and hijacked the reference? Where is the judgment?
4, Why particularly he involved himself in missing person case? do you know
who are these missing persons? If the way it was described by the media and
other sources to the common man, then many of us should be missing.. why
only few people were kidnapped for money.. why not more and more.. do anyone
of you personally know any one of the missing person?
5, Why Iftikhar Chaudry demoralized Pakistan’s premier agencies and insulted
them? Why a proper campaign launched against ISI after this event? Why so
much hatred for Pak Military and other intelligence agencies being spread
under missing person campaign? Where are proves? Do you have any prove/evidence that
Afia Siddque was handed over to US by Pak forces? (Please don’t refer us to

6, Most important question: Who is financially supporting Lawyer’s movement?
How come they are so organized with so much funds available? Why media gave
him So much coverage? Do you think they were doing that without any benefit?
Think again.! Only Geo Tv claims 100,000 PKR per min air time.. how they have broadcasted 30-40 hours long lawyers’ live telecasts without any monetary benefit? Who financed this huge organized movement to derail Pakistan?
7, If Iftikhar Chaudry is so patriotic Pakistani then why he does not care about the innocent people currently crying and waiting in Jails for their proceedings and justice? Why Iftikhar Chaudry just need his restoration back? Why is he so hungry for power? What is his agenda?
8, Do you think if Iftikhar Chaudry is resorted, the clashes between institutions specially intelligence agencies wont happen? Can someone please

کوئی بتلاﺅ کہ ہم بتلائیں کیا!

لال مسجد اور جامعہ حفصہ پر پرویزی حکومت کے دور میں کیے گئے خونیں آپریشن کے بعد امیر جماعت اسلامی محترم قاضی حسین احمد نے ایک فیکٹ فائنڈنگ کمیشن قائم کیا۔ یہ محض انکوائری کمیشن نہیں تھا بلکہ اس کے دائرہ¿ کار میں لواحقین کے ساتھ معاونت، لاپتا طلباءو طالبات کے بارے میں معلومات کا حصول، جیلوں میں بند افراد کی قانونی معاونت، سپریم کورٹ میں قانونی چارہ جوئی، جامعہ حفصہ و لال مسجد کے طلباءو طالبات سے رابطہ، اسلحہ ماہرین سے تکنیکی رپورٹس کا حصول، میڈیا سے زیادہ سے زیادہ حوالے جمع کرنا اور دلائل، شواہد اور ثبوت مہیا و مرتب کرنا جیسے مشکل ٹاسک بھی شامل تھے۔ فیکٹ فائنڈنگ کمیشن کے کنوینر ڈاکٹر فرید احمد پراچہ تھے جبکہ اس کے اراکین میں درج ذیل اراکین پارلیمنٹ شامل تھے: اسد اللہ بھٹو، مولانا عبدالمالک، مولانا شاہ عبدالعزیز، مولانا رحمت اللہ خلیل، میاں محمد اسلم، سید بختیار معانی، پرویز مسیح، کنیزعائشہ منور، سمیحہ راحیل قاضی اور بلقیس سیف۔ کمیشن نے اپنی ذمہ داری کو احسن طریقے سے نبھانے اور حقائق تک پہنچنے کے لیے مزید افراد کی خدمات حاصل کیں اور کئی ذیلی کمیٹیاں تشکیل دیں۔ ان کمیٹیوں میں محترم قاضی حسین احمد کی اہلیہ، سید بلال، رضیہ عزیز، اخلاص فاطمہ اور شاہد شمسی جیسے معتبر لوگ شامل تھے۔ قانونی و عدالتی امور کےے لیے ماہرینِ قانون توفیق آصف ایڈووکیٹ‘ شوکت عزیز صدیقی ایڈووکیٹ و دیگر وکلاءپر مشتمل کمیٹی بنائی گئی۔ فیکٹ فائنڈنگ کمیشن کے اراکین نے کئی ہفتوں کی شب و روز محنت کے بعد اپنی رپورٹ مرتب کی اور اسے نہ صرف قاضی صاحب اور متحدہ مجلس عمل کے دیگر ذمہ داران کو پیش کیا بلکہ سپریم کورٹ میں بھی اس رپورٹ کو بطور ثبوت پیش کیا گیا۔ رپورٹ ضمیمہ جات کے ساتھ کئی سو صفحات پر مشتمل تھی۔ لہٰذا کسی ایک کالم یا کئی کالموں میں بھی اس کے مندرجات کا تفصیلی احاطہ ممکن نہیں۔ چند ماہ قبل جماعت اسلامی نے اس رپورٹ کا خلاصہ عوام کے ملاحظے کے لیے کتابچے کی صورت میں شائع کیا ہے جس کو ”سانحہ لال مسجد و جامعہ حفصہ۔ قرطاس ابیض“ کا عنوان دیا گیا ہے۔ ملاحظہ فرمائیے اس کتابچے سے چند اقتباسات‘ تاکہ آپ کو اندازہ ہوسکے کہ لال مسجد اور جامعہ حفصہ میں اس خونیں آپریشن کے دوران درحقیقت کیا ہوا۔ ٭جامعہ حفصہ کی پرنسپل اور لال مسجد کے خطیب مولانا عبدالعزیز کی اہلیہ ماجدہ یونس (اُم حسان) نے سملی ڈیم ریسٹ ہاﺅس میں دئیے گئے اپنے حلفی بیان میں بتایا کہ: ” میرے اندازے کے مطابق میں مورخہ 9جولائی 2007ءکو تقریباً 1بجے دن جامعہ سے باہر آئی ہوں۔ اُس وقت جامعہ میں تقریباً 450طالبات موجود تھیں۔ اس تعداد میں بہت ساری لاوارث بچیاں بھی تھیں جو کبھی گھروں کو نہیں جاتی تھیں۔ ان میں سے اکثر بچیاں زلزلہ زدگان سے متعلق خاندانوں سے تھیں۔ ٭یہ ایک بالکل مستند بات ہے کہ جامعہ میں داخل طلباءو طالبات کے نام اور کوائف وفاق المدارس کے پاس موجود ہیں۔ ٭اگر ہم جنرل پرویزمشرف کے ہی بتائے ہوئے اعداد و شمار کے مطابق 5,000کی تعداد اور ان میں سے 3300کو بچالینے کے دعوے کو بھی بنیاد بنائیں تو سوال پیدا ہوتا ہے کہ 1700طلباءو طالبات کہاں گئے؟ ٭میڈیا کو 10جولائی کے بجائے 13جولائی کو لال مسجد اور جامعہ حفصہ میں کیوں لے جایا گیا؟ ٭میڈیا پر ہسپتالوں اور قبرستانوں کے دروازے کیوں بند کیے گئے؟ ٭عبدالستار ایدھی کے بیان کے مطابق ان سے 800کفن اور300چادریں کیوں مانگی گئیں؟ ٭گائیڈڈ ٹور کے دوران صحافیوں کو مرکزی ہال میں کیوں نہیں لے جایا گیا؟ حالانکہ وہاں سے خون اور بارود کی بو آرہی تھی۔ ٭لاشوں کے چیتھڑے بوریوں میں بھرے گئے۔ ان بوریوں کو قیدیوں والی بسوں اور ٹرکوں میں بھر کے سہالہ پولیس سینٹر میں لے جایاگیا اور فائرنگ رینج جو گیٹ نمبر3کے اندرونی طرف ہے، وہاں یہ لاشیں اور بوریاں دفن کی گئیں۔ ٭ایچ الیون قبرستان میں دفن کیے جانے والے تابوتوں میں دو دو لاشوں کی موجودگی کو میڈیا کے افراد نے خود دیکھا۔ ٭مولانا عبدالرشید غازی شہید میڈیا کے سامنے خود بھی 14کلاشنکوفوں کی موجودگی کا اعتراف کرتے رہے۔ یہی کلاشنکوفیں متعدد مرتبہ طلباءکے ہاتھوں میں دیکھی گئیں۔ ہم نے تحقیقات کے دوران متعدد طلباءو طالبات سے کئی انداز سے سوالات کیے لیکن کسی بھی طرح مذکورہ بالا کلاشنکوفوں کے علاوہ کسی دیگر اسلحے کی موجودگی کی تصدیق نہیں ہوسکی۔ ٭جس اسلحے کی 14جولائی 2007ءکو میڈیا کے سامنے نمائش کی گئی، جب ہم نے اس کے تجزیے کے لیے اسلحہ ماہرین سے رجوع کیا جن میں ریٹائرڈ جرنیل حضرات بھی شامل تھے، تو ان کے اٹھائے ہوئے نکات درج ذیل تھے: i۔اس اسلحے میں ٹینک شکن ہتھیار بھی شامل تھے۔ حالانکہ مسجد کے اندر ٹینکوں کے داخل ہونے کا امکان صفر فیصد بھی نہیں تھا۔ اس لیے ٹینک شکن ہتھیاروں کو سجانے سے بھی واضح ہوجاتا ہے کہ یہ اسلحہ لال مسجد والوں کا نہیں بلکہ کسی آرمی ڈپو سے لاکر سجایا گیا ہے۔ ii۔کچھ ہتھیار اس طرح سے پالش شدہ تھے کہ وہ بھی کسی محفوظ مال خانے سے لائے گئے معلوم ہوتے ہیں۔ میدانِ جنگ سے اٹھایا گیا اسلحہ اس طرح سے چمکتا دمکتا نہیں ہے۔ iii۔اتنی زبردست فائرنگ اور آتش زدگی میں بھی صحافیوں کو دکھانے کے لیے پٹرول بم بچ گئے۔ جھوٹ بولنے کے لیے بھی عقل چاہیے۔ iv۔اسنائپر رائفلوں اور لائٹ مشین گنوں سے نیچی پرواز کے حامل بغیر پائلٹ کے جاسوسی طیارے کو گرایا جاسکتا ہے۔ طلباءنے انہیں گرانے کی کوشش کیوں نہیں کی؟ یہ سوالات (میں نے صرف چند سوالات لکھے ہیں) اس گمان کو یقین میں بدل دیتے ہیں کہ میڈیا کے سامنے دکھایا جانے والا اسلحہ خود سیکورٹی فورسز کی طرف سے آپریشن ختم ہونے کے بعد مدرسہ اور مسجد میں منتقل کیا گیا۔ ٭بڑے پیمانے پر یہ بات پھیلائی گئی کہ جنگجوﺅں نے طالبات اور بچوں کو یرغمال بناکر رکھا ہے۔ ہماری ملاقاتیں آخری دن تک باہر آنے والی طالبات سے بھی ہوئیں۔ کوئی ایک بھی شہادت نہیں ملی کہ کسی نے ان کو زبردستی روک رکھا تھا۔ یہ سب طلباءو طالبات بلکہ ان کے والدین بالخصوص مائیں جذبہ¿ جہاد اور شوقِ شہادت سے سرشار تھے۔ ٭بتایا گیا کہ اندر جنگجو اور خطرناک دہشت گرد موجود ہیں جو بڑے تربیت یافتہ ہیں‘ لیکن بعد میں شہید اور زخمی ہونے والوں میں کوئی ایک بھی تربیت یافتہ دہشت گرد نہیں نکلا۔ یہ سب تو جامعہ کے ہی طلباءو طالبات تھے۔ ٭کہا گیا کہ اندر خودکش حملہ آور موجود ہیں اور چودہ خودکش حملہ آوروں کو بیلٹ تقسیم کردی گئی ہیں۔ بالآخر ثابت ہوا کہ اندر کوئی خودکش حملہ آور موجود نہیں تھا اور نہ ہی حکومت میڈیا کو کوئی بیلٹ دکھا سکی۔ یہ داستان بھی مخصوص مقاصد کے تحت پھیلائی گئی۔ ٭لیگل ایڈ کمیٹی نے یہ بھی نوٹ کیا کہ گرفتار شدگان میں سے زخمیوں کو بازوﺅں کے نیچے اور ٹانگوں پر سامنے سے گولیاں لگی ہیں۔ گویا کہ جب یہ طلباءدونوں ہاتھ اوپر اٹھائے ہوئے باہر نکل رہے تھے تو ان کو شیردل جوانوں نے انتہائی بے رحمی سے گولیاں ماریں۔ ٭یہ حقیقت ہے کہ عبدالرشید غازی شہید نے بے مثال اور لازوال قربانی دی۔ جس دھج سے وہ مقتل میں گئے وہ شان ہمیشہ سلامت رہے گی۔ انہوں نے جن اعلیٰ مقاصد کے لیے آواز بلند کی وہ بھی ہمیشہ زندہ و تابندہ رہیں گے۔ سانحہ لال مسجد و جامعہ حفصہ سے متعلق جماعت اسلامی کے اعلیٰ سطحی کمیشن کی رپورٹ کے اقتباسات آپ نے ملاحظہ فرمائے۔ اب اس سانحے سے متعلق اس عظیم مرد ِ مومن کی رپورٹ کے مندرجات کے کچھ حصوں کا ترجمہ ملاحظہ فرمائیے جنہوں نے آج کل خواتین و حضرات کو اپنی گفتگو اور بے لاگ تجزیوں سے مسحور کررکھا ہے۔ جن کے مشن کو بعض لوگ جماعت اسلامی کا مشن قرار دیتے ہیں اور جن کے بارے میں بعض معصوم ترین لوگوں کا خیال ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ان سے کام لے رہا ہے۔ درحقیقت ان سے کون، کیا کام لے رہا ہے، میرے خیال میں درج ذیل اقتباسات پڑھ کر آپ کو اچھی طرح اندازہ ہوجائے گا: سانحہ لال مسجد کے بعد براس ٹیک نے زید حامد کی انگریزی میں مرتب کردہ رپورٹ What Really Happened کے عنوان سے جاری کی۔ رپورٹ کے آغاز میں انہوں نے اپنی 8جولائی کی تحریر کا حوالہ دیتے ہوئے لکھا ہے کہ : ”(لال مسجد کے معاملے میں) حکومت کی ناموری، ستائش اور تذلیل کے درمیان ایک پاگل مولوی (Psychopath Cleric) اور دہشت گردوں کا ایک گروپ کھڑا ہے جس نے لوگوں کو پاکستانی دارالحکومت کے قلب میں یرغمال بنایا ہوا ہے۔“ (رپورٹ اس طرح کے زہریلے الفاظ اور تجزیوں سے پُر ہے)۔ ٭اگلے صفحات میں موصوف فرماتے ہیں کہ: ”یہ گروپ (لال مسجد کے علماءاور طلباءو طالبات) منکرِ دین، بے وفا، فراری، اوباش (Renegade) جنگجوﺅں کا گروپ ہے جو ’تکفیری‘ کہلاتے ہیں۔ یہ ان مسلمانوں پر جنگ مسلط کردیتے ہیں جو ان کے نظریات سے اتفاق نہیں کرتے۔ یہ نظریاتی طور پر حکومت دشمن، بدنظمی پسند، انتشاری اور شورش طلب (Anarchist) اور معروف جہادی گروپس کے درمیان بے خانماں اور خارجی (Outcastes)لوگ ہیں۔ ٭میرے خیال میں (سانحہ میں) ہلاک و زخمی ہونے والوں کی کل تعداد 200سے 250 ہوسکتی ہے بشمول 75جنگجوﺅں کے۔ اس تعداد کو حکومت نے بھی تسلیم کیا ہے۔ ملا دباﺅ بڑھا رہے ہیں یہ منوانے کے لیے کہ اندر 1000لوگ تھے۔ یہ بے معنی اور فضول بات ہے۔ جیسا کہ ان کے مرحوم لیڈر کہتے رہے کہ اندر 1800لوگ ہیں، یہ Bluffتھا۔ ٭جی ہاں۔میڈیا کو جو ہتھیار دکھائے گئے، ان کا تعلق ان جنگجوﺅں سے تھا، اور ان عمارتوں میں اسلحے کا بہت بڑا ذخیرہ موجود تھا جن میں مشین گنیں، راکٹ لانچرز، بارودی سرنگیں، ہینڈ گرنیڈز، گیس ماسک، مولوٹوو کوک ٹیلز اور خودکش حملے کی جیکٹس شامل تھیں۔ ہمیں کوئی شبہ نہیں کہ اس معاملے میں حکومتی مو¿قف بالکل درست ہے۔ لال مسجد ایک عارضی اسلحہ خانہ (Weapons Dump) تھی اور بلاشبہ ایک طویل جنگ اور مسلح بغاوت (Armed Rebellion) کے لیے تیار مقام۔ ٭باوجود اس کے، کہ مولوی مُصر ہیں کہ مدرسے میں 1000سے زائد ہلاکتیں ہوئیں، ہمارے پاس اس بات کو تسلیم کرنے کی کوئی وجہ نہیں۔ یہ محض بڑے پیمانے پر پھیلائی جانے والی ڈس انفارمیشن ہے۔ کوئی ایک، جی ہاں کوئی ایک بھی کسی ثبوت کے ساتھ آگے نہیں آیا جس میں مدرسے میں داخل طلباءو طالبات کے نام، رول نمبر اور پتے درج ہوں۔اور نہ ہی کوئی حاضری رجسٹر پیش کیا گیا جس سے پتا چل سکے کہ مدرسے میں داخل طلباءو طالبات کی اصل تعداد کیا تھی۔ ٭ہمارے اپنے ذرائع سے حاصل کردہ مفصل شہادتیں موجود ہیں جن سے پتا چلتا ہے کہ آپریشن کے دوران صرف چند سویلین (خواتین اور بچوں) کی ہلاکتیں ہوئیں۔ شاید صرف چند درجن۔ اس تعداد کو حکومت نے بھی اب تسلیم کرلیا ہے۔ مجھ میں حوصلہ نہیں کہ اس رپورٹ سے مزید اقتباسات آپ کی خدمت میں پیش کرسکوں۔ آخری حصے میں موصوف سیاسی رہنماﺅں کے بارے میں رقمطراز ہیں کہ ہماری حزب اختلاف پریشان اور گھبرائے ہوئے مسخروں کا گروپ ہے۔ The opposition is still a confused bunch of comedians. Their APC in London only blew hot air. یاد رہے کہ لندن میں منعقد ہونے والی آل پارٹیز کانفرنس میں محترم قاضی حسین احمد اور لیاقت بلوچ صاحبان بھی شریک تھے۔جنرل (ریٹائرڈ) پرویز مشرف کے حکم پر کیا جانے والا لال مسجد آپریشن پاکستان کی تاریخ کے اہم ترین سانحات میں سے ایک تھا۔ شہید ہونے والے طلباءو طالبات اور ان کے اہلِ خاندان و پاکستان کے عوام اسے تادیر نہیں بھلا پائیں گے۔ بعض لوگ ملک میں ہونے والے خودکش حملوں کے پیچھے بھی سانحہ لال مسجد کے ردِعمل کو محسوس کرتے ہیں۔ اس سانحے کے حوالے سے جماعت اسلامی کے اعلیٰ سطحی کمیشن کی رپورٹ اور زید حامد کی رپورٹ ایک دوسرے کی ضد ہیں۔ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ ان میں سے ایک رپورٹ دروغ گوئی کا شاہکار ہے اور مخصوص ایجنڈے کے تحت جاری کی گئی ہے۔ یہ رپورٹ کون سی ہے، اس کا فیصلہ کرنا مشکل نہیں ہے۔ کون کس کے ایجنڈے پر ہے، یہ سمجھنا بھی بہت آسان ہے۔ اس کے باوجود کچھ لوگ: پوچھتے ہیں زید حامد کون ہے ”کوئی بتلاﺅ کہ ہم بتلائیں کیا!“

As for you, notwithstanding your false claims against zaid sahib, I would rather invoke Allah’s forgiveness for you than curse. May we all be guided to be able to stand together in this critical juncture of our history, be able to unitedly serve this country inspire of our misunderstandings and differences.
یوسف کذاب اور زید حامد کے شکار

جسارت کے ان صفحات پر ڈاکٹر فیاض عالم کے زید (زمان) حامد سے متعلق مضامین چھپے جن پر کچھ قارئین کا بہت سخت ردعمل آیا۔ جن دنوں یہ مضامین چھپے‘ ہمیں بھی دستیاب معلومات کی بنیاد پرکچھ لکھنے کا خیال آیا۔ لیکن زید حامد کے متاثرین کا، جن میں اکثریت خواتین کی ہے، سخت ردعمل دیکھتے ہوئے ارادہ ترک کردیا اور اس مسئلے پر تحقیق شروع کردی۔ ”یوٹیوب“ پر ان کے پروگرام بھی دیکھے اور مختلف ناموں سے چھپنے والے ان کے مضامین اور تجزیاتی رپورٹوں کا مطالعہ شروع کیا۔ زید حامد جو کچھ کہتے ہیں اس سے کلی طور پر اتفاق ممکن نہیں۔ تاہم ان کے ماضی اور اس کے صحیح ہونے پر اصرار کو دیکھتے ہوئے ان کی صحیح باتیں بھی تحقیق کی متقاضی ہیں۔ زید حامد کے خیالات سے متاثر جسارت کی ایک قاری کا استدلال ہے کہ ہمیں یہ نہیں دیکھنا چاہیے کہ ”کون کہہ رہا ہے بلکہ یہ دیکھنا چاہیے کہ کیا کہہ رہا ہے“۔ یہ کلیہ غلط ہے‘ اگر غلط نہ ہوتا تو جب کفارِ مکہ نے یارِ غار سیدنا ابوبکر صدیق ؓ سے کہا کہ آپؓ کے دوست محمد(صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) کہہ رہے ہےں کہ وہ رات کے ایک حصے میں مسجد حرام سے مسجداقصیٰ اور وہاں سے آسمانوں کی سیر کرکے آئے ہیں؟ ابوبکر صدیق ؓ نے بغیر کسی تامل کے یہ کیوں کہہ دیا کہ محمدصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کہہ رہے ہیں تو سچ کہہ رہے ہیں۔ اس گواہی پر سیدنا ابوبکر ؓکو قرآن نے صدیق کا لقب دیا۔ کیا اتنی بڑی گواہی دینے سے قبل ابوبکر ؓ نے اس دعوے کو عقل کی بنیاد پر پرکھا؟ یا یہ دےکھ کر گواہی دی کہ کون کہہ رہا ہے؟ خود اللہ نے اُس وقت تک کسی نبی پر نبوت کی ذمہ داری نہیں ڈالی جب تک اس کے اخلاق اور کردار کی گواہی اُس زمانے کے لوگوں نے نہیں دی۔ اور نبوت کے اعلان سے قبل نبی پاک صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اہلِ مکہ کے سامنے جو سوال رکھا وہ بھی ہم سب کو یاد ہے۔ تو پھر ہم کس طرح سے کہہ سکتے ہیں کہ یہ نہ دیکھو کہ کون کہہ رہا ہے؟ ٹی وی ون کے ”مرد ِمومن“ کے یوسف کذاب ملعون کے ساتھ تعلق کے ناقابلِ تردید شواہد موجود ہےں۔ فی الوقت اس کالم کے ذریعے آپ کو یوسف کذاب، زید حامد اور ان کے فرقہ¿ باطنیہ کے دو نواجون تائبین سے ملواتے ہیں جنہوں نے برسوں اس فرقے کے لیے کام کیا لیکن اللہ تعالیٰ نے ان پر خاص کرم کیا اور ان کو ہدایت نصیب ہوئی۔ یوسف کذاب کے مقرب خاص اور زید حامد کے دوست رضوان طیب کے بھائی منصور طیب کہتے ہیں: ”میں زید حامد کو اُس وقت سے جانتا ہوں جب اس کا یوسف علی سے تعلق نہیں بنا تھا۔ زید 1988ءکے انتخابات میں بہت سرگرم تھا۔ 1989ءمیں اس نے ایک تصویری نمائش کا اہتمام کیا اور اس کے لیے ایک وڈیو فلم بھی تیار کی تھی۔ اس نمائش کا اہتمام علاقہ سوسائٹی میں مختلف مقامات پر کیا گیا۔ اُس زمانے میں یہ مختلف جہادی رہنماﺅں کے ترجمان کی صورت میں بھی نظر آیا۔ اس کی شخصیت سے ہم بہت زیادہ متاثر تھے۔ یہ اپنے آپ کو بہت بڑا جہادی رہنما سمجھتا تھا۔ اُس زمانے میں اس نے افغان جہاد کے حوالے سے ایک وڈیو فلم ”قصص الجہاد“ بھی تیار کی۔ پھر 1993ءمیں جہادِ افغانستان ختم ہوگیا۔ یہ وہ دور تھا جب اس نے تمام مجاہد رہنماﺅں کو گالیاں دینی شروع کردیں۔ 1993-94ءمیں یہ لاہور سے اپنے ساتھ یوسف کذاب کو لے آیااور اس کو علاقہ سوسائٹی کے تحریکی ساتھیوں سے متعارف کرایا اور کہا کہ یہ ایک بزرگ ہے جو صرف ذکر کی بات کرتا ہے۔ اگر کوئی سوا لاکھ دفعہ ورد کرے گا تو اس کو نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا دیدار نصیب ہوجائے گا۔ میرے بڑے بھائی رضوان طیب‘ یوسف علی کے خاص مقربین میں شامل ہوگئے تھے اس وجہ سے یوسف علی اور زید زمان میرے گھر آتے تھے۔ زید زمان جس کا پہلے سے ہمارے گھر آنا جانا تھا‘ یوسف کذاب کو ہمارے گھر لے آیا تھا۔ اُس زمانے میں علاقہ سوسائٹی کے جمعیت اور جماعت سے متاثر اور متعلق تین درجن سے زائد افراد اس سے متاثر ہوئے۔ میرے بھائی تو اس حد تک متاثر تھے کہ انہوں نے ہماری دکان کا ایک حصہ بیچا اور یوسف کذاب کو ایک گاڑی خرید کر دی اور لاکھوں روپے نقد دیئے۔ زید حامد یوسف کذاب کا مقرب اوّل تھا اس لیے پیسوں کی وصولی وہ کرتا تھا۔ میں دعوے سے کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ زید زمان نے خود اپنی جیب سے ایک ہزار روپے بھی نہیں دیئے ہوں گے۔ یوسف کذاب کو جو رقم دی جاتی تھی اس کو مختلف وقتوں اور مواقع کے حساب سے کبھی تحفے کا نام دیا جاتا تھا اور کبھی نذر و نیاز کا۔ زید حامد نے مجھے یوسف کذاب کے نظریات پر مبنی پمفلٹ دیے اور مختلف مساجد کے باہر تقسیم کرنے کو کہا۔ ہمارا پورا گھرانا اس چکر میں پڑگیا تھا لیکن میرے بڑے بھائی رضوان طیب کے سوا سب یوسف کذاب اور زید زمان کے شر سے محفوظ رہے۔ میرا مولانا مودودیؒ کے لٹریچر کا اچھا خاصا مطالعہ تھا۔ یہ مطالعہ شاید اس فتنے سے بچنے کے لیے اللہ تعالیٰ نے مجھ سے کروایا تھا۔ مجھ سے کبھی بھی زید زمان اور یوسف کذاب کی باتیں اور اس کی شخصیت ہضم نہیں ہوئی۔ ایک دفعہ کسی کے گھر پر نمازکی امامت کرتے ہوئے یوسف کذاب کی کال آئی۔ وہ نماز چھوڑ کرکافی دیر تک موبائل پر باتیں کرتا رہا، سب نمازی ہاتھ باندھ کر اس کا انتظار کرتے رہے‘ جب اس نے سکون سے بات مکمل کرلی تب آیا اور باقی نماز مکمل کی۔ اس کی جماعت میں خواتین اور حضرات ایک ہی صف میں کھڑے ہوتے تھے۔ یہ اپنی طرز کی مخلوط نمازیں ہوتی تھیں۔ میرے بھائی کو بھی بالآخر اس بات کا احساس ہوگیا کہ یہ سب کچھ غلط تھا۔ سوچ سوچ اُن کی دماغی حالت خراب ہوگئی۔ آج بھی وہ زید زمان اور یوسف کذاب کو گالیاں دیتے ہیں۔ ان کا علاج ذہنی امراض کے معالج ڈاکٹر مبین اختر کے پاس چل رہا ہے۔ ہم تو فرقہ باطنیہ کے دست و بازو بن بیٹھے تھے‘ یہ تو اللہ کا کرم تھا کہ اس نے ہدایت دی۔ میری تمام مسلمانوں خصوصاً مذہبی فکر اور تحریکوں سے وابستہ لوگوں سے گزارش ہے کہ وہ اس فتنے کا ادراک کریں اور زید زمان کی صورت میں یوسف کذاب کی دوسری انٹری کو ناکام بنادیں تاکہ لوگ گمراہ نہ ہوں۔“ سعد موٹن منصور طیب کے بڑے بھائی اور یوسف کذاب کے خاص مقرب رضوان طیب کا دوست تھا۔ علاقہ سوسائٹی سے تعلق رکھنے والا سعد شروع ہی سے مذہبی رجحان رکھتا تھا، اس لیے وہ رضوان طیب کے ذریعے اس فرقہ باطنیہ کے قریب آیا۔ اس کے ساتھ پانچ سال رہا لیکن اس کے دل نے کبھی اس فرقے کو دل سے تسلیم نہیں کیا‘ بلکہ ان لوگوں کی عجیب و غریب حرکتوں کی وجہ سے بالآخر وہ اس فرقے سے الگ ہوگیا اور پھر اللہ نے اس کو اس فرقے کے خلاف کام کرنے کی توفیق دی۔ سعد موٹن کہتا ہے: ”زید زمان سے میرا تعارف رضوان طیب نے کرایا تھا۔ یہ اُس زمانے کی بات ہے جب افغان جہاد کے آخری دن چل رہے تھے اور طالبان کابل کو فتح کرکے وہاں حکومت بنانے کی پوزیشن میں آگئے تھے۔ کراچی سے کچھ لوگ تیار ہوکر افغان جہاد میں حصہ لینے جارہے تھے۔ جب طالبان کی حکومت بنی تو کچھ لوگوں نے سوچا کہ کیوں نہ پاکستان میں بھی طالبان کی طرز پر خلافت قائم کی جائے۔ مذہبی سوچ رکھنے والوں کو اپنی طرف راغب کرنے کے لیے یہ کہنا ہی کافی تھا۔ اللہ کی راہ میں جان قربان کرنے سے زیادہ خوشی کی بات اور کیا ہوسکتی ہے! رضوان طیب کی اسلامک سینٹر کے پلیٹ فارم پر زید زمان سے ملاقات ہوئی۔ پھر یہ دنوں مسلم ایڈ کے لیے کام کرنے لگے اور میں بھی ان کے ساتھ مل گیا۔ مسلم ایڈ کا کارڈ آج بھی میرے پاس موجود ہے۔ میں ان کے ساتھ فنڈز اکٹھا کرتا تھا۔ ہم نے افغان جہاد کے حوالے سے ایک مووی ”قصص الجہاد“ کے نام سے تیار کی تھی۔ زید زمان اس کا ڈائریکٹر تھا۔ اس سی ڈی کی سیل کی ذمہ داری میری تھی۔ اس کے بعد زید زمان کی ملاقات یوسف کذاب سے ہوئی۔ یہ اس کو کراچی لے آیا۔ رضوان طیب، سہیل احمد اور عبدالواحد کراچی میں اس کے شروع کے ساتھیوں میں سے تھے۔ ان لوگوں نے خلافت کا آسرا دے کر کراچی سے ایک تحریک کا آغاز کیا اور جمعیت اور جماعت کے لوگوں کو ٹارگٹ بنایا۔ ہر آدمی کو اس کے رجحان کے حساب سے گھیرنے کی حکمت عملی وضع کی گئی۔ اگر کوئی جہاد سے متاثر تھا تو اس کو اس حوالے سے راغب کرنے کی کوشش کی۔ کوئی کسی اور فکر سے وابستہ تھا تو اس کو قریب لانے کے لیے اس فکر کے قصیدے پڑھے گئے۔ مذہب کو بنیاد بنایا گیا اور تاثر دیا گیا کہ ان کا مقصد خلافت کا قیام ہے۔ اس کے بعد کراچی میں نشستوں کا انعقاد شروع کیا گیا۔ یہ لوگ یوسف کذاب کو حضرت کہتے تھے۔ اس کو ان نشستوں میں بلایا جاتا تھا۔ اس نے شروع میں اپنے آپ کو عاشقِ رسول کہنا شروع کیا۔ پھر اللہ اور رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے نور کی باتیں کرنے لگا۔ پھر کہنے لگا کہ محمد کا نور حضرت آدم علیہ السلام سے لے کر قیامت تک رہے گا۔ یہ نور کسی بشر کی صورت میں ظاہر ہوتا رہتا ہے جس کو دیکھنے کے لیے خاص بصیرت کی ضرورت ہوتی ہے جو ایک خاص طریقہ کار سے حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ اُس وقت تک اس نے یہ دعویٰ نہیں کیا تھا کہ موجودہ دور میں وہ بشر (نعوذباللہ) وہ خود ہے۔ جو لوگ اس کی گرفت میں آجاتے تھے اُن کے متعلق وہ کہتا تھا کہ یہ آگے درجے کے ہوگئے ہیں۔ وہ اس موقع پر کہا کرتا تھا: اقبال تیری دید کی آج عید ہوگئی کہ یار لباسِ بشر میں آن ملا وہ دعویٰ کرتا تھا کہ یہ اقبال کا غیر مطبوعہ شعر ہے جس پر حکومت ِہند نے پابندی عائد کردی تھی۔ ایک خاص وظیفے کے بعد یہ اپنے پیروکار کو بشارت دیتا تھا کہ محمدصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے آپ کی عاجزی کو قبول فرمایا ہے، اس لیے وہ لباسِ بشر میں یعنی (نعوذباللہ) یوسف کذاب کی صورت میں حاضر ہے۔ اور اس طرح یہ خودکو محمد ظاہر کرتا تھا۔ مجھے کافی عرصے تک ذکر کرایا گیا۔ میرا تعلق چونکہ مذہبی گھرانے سے ہے اس لیے بہت ساری باتیں مجھ سے ہضم نہیں ہوتی تھیں۔ کئی مرتبہ مخلوط محفلوں پر اعتراض کی وجہ سے کہا گیا کہ اس کو نشستوں میں نہ لایا جائے۔ میرا دل کھٹکتا تھا کہ کہیں نہ کہیں گڑبڑ ہے۔ مجھے یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ قرآن کے سات ترجمے اتارے گئے جس میں ایک صرف ان لوگوں کے پاس محفوظ ہے۔ جیسا کہ میں نے پہلے عرض کیا یوسف کذاب کے کام کے لیے پنڈی کے زید حامد اور کراچی کے رضوان طیب، سہیل احمد اور عبدالواحد کو خاص ذمہ داریاں سونپ دی گئی تھیں۔ ان کو (نعوذباللہ) صحابیوں کے درجوں سے نوازا گیا تھا۔ ان لوگوں کا اصل مقصد پیسے بٹورنا‘ عقائد کو بگاڑنا اور مریدوں کو خواتین کی طرف راغب کرنا تھا۔ ہر محفل مخلوط ہوتی تھی۔ حتیٰ کہ نمازیں بھی مخلوط ہوتی تھیں۔ خواتین اور مردوں کو ایک مقام دیا جاتا تھا۔ایلیٹ گھرانوں کی خواتین ان کی طرف راغب ہوتی تھیں۔ان محفلوں میں عشق و محبت کی باتیں ہوتی تھیں، عشقیہ اشعار سنائے جاتے تھے۔ اکثریت ان لوگوں کی تھی جو صاحب ِمال اور صاحب ِاثر و رسوخ تھے۔ بڑے بڑے تاجر، فوج اور بیوروکریسی کے لوگ اس کے جال میں پھنس چکے تھے۔ بیعت کرنے والوں کو اہلِ بیت کہا جاتا تھا۔ یہ لوگ پابند ہوتے تھے کہ اپنے مال کا ایک حصہ جمع کرائےں۔ یوسف کذاب کی کراچی آمد پر ”جشنِ آمد ِ حضرت“ کے نام سے تقریب منعقد کی جاتی تھی۔ قیام و طعام کا اہتمام ہوتا تھا۔ قیمتی تحائف دینے پڑتے تھے۔ ایک خاص قیمت سے کم کے تحائف قبول نہیں کیے جاتے تھے۔ محفلوں میں عام لوگوں کو شرکت کی اجازت نہیں تھی۔ جو ان کے عقیدے سے اختلاف کرتا تھا وہ نقصان اُٹھاتا تھا۔ لوگ اس حد تک یوسف کذاب کے عشق میں مبتلا تھے کہ اپنی بیٹیاں اور بیویاں پیش کردی تھیں۔ تقریباً ڈھائی سو خواتین نے اپنے شوہروں سے طلاق لیے بغیر نئی شادیاں کرلیں۔ یوسف کذاب اپنے اہلِ بیت سے کہتا تھا کہ نکاح سے پہلے اپنی ہونے والی بیوی کو میرے پاس بھیجو۔ اس عمل کو معراج کے سفر کا نام دیا جاتا تھا۔ خواتین گھنٹوں اُس کے ساتھ خلوت میں رہتی تھیں۔ اگر کوئی ان بے ہودگیوں کو دیکھ کر انہیں غلط کہتا تو اس کا انجام برا ہوتا تھا۔1994ءمیں ایک نوجوان نے علی الاعلان یوسف کذاب کو برا بھلا کہا۔ اس کا قتل ہوا۔ اس قتل کو ڈکیتی کہا گیا۔ لیکن یہ ایک ایسی ڈکیتی تھی جس میں اس نوجوان کے پیسے چھینے گئے اور نہ ہی اس کی موٹر سائیکل۔ جب بیت المکرم مسجد میں اس کی نمازہ جنازہ پڑھی جارہی تھی اُس وقت یوسف کذاب ایک مقرب کی شادی میں شریک تھا۔ نوجوان لڑکے اور لڑکیاں اس فرقے کا ہدف ہوا کرتے تھے۔ میرے دل ودماغ نے کبھی اس کو قبول نہیں کیا، لیکن پھر بھی پانچ سال تک ان لوگوں کے ساتھ رہا۔ شاید ڈر کی وجہ سے کہ کہیں مارا نہ جاﺅں، یا پھر شاید اللہ نے اس لیے مجھے ان کے ساتھ رکھا تاکہ ان کو قریب سے دیکھوں اور معاشرے پر یہ سب کچھ واضح کردوں کہ یہ لوگ کون ہیں۔ میں نے مختلف مکاتب فکر کے علماءسے رابطہ کیا، سب نے ان لوگوں کو گمراہ کہا۔ آخر میں اس کے جرائم افشا ہوئے اور تحریک ختم نبوت نے یوسف کذاب کے خلاف کیس کیا۔ مقدمہ چلا‘ اس مقدمے کے دوران یوسف کذاب کو بچانے کے لیے یہ زید حامد ہی دوڑ دھوپ کرتا رہا۔ کبھی بااثر لوگوں سے ملتا اور کبھی اخبارات میں خطوط لکھتا۔ یوسف کذاب کو عدالت نے سزائے موت سنائی، 13اگست 2000ءکو زید حامد نے روزنامہ ڈان میں ایک خط لکھا اور عدالت کے فیصلے کو انصاف کا قتل قرار دیا۔ اس کی ضمانت کی کوششیں جاری تھیں کہ ایک قیدی نے اس کو موت کے گھاٹ اُتار دیا۔ یوسف کذاب کے ختم ہونے کے بعد زید زمان حامد غائب ہوگیا۔ اور پھر صرف زید حامد کے نام سے نمودار ہوا۔ اور پھر براس ٹیکس پروگرام میں سامنے آیا۔ آج اس کے ساتھیوں میں وہی لوگ شامل ہیں جو یوسف کذاب کے ساتھی تھے۔ آج انٹرنیٹ پر اس کو سپورٹ کرنے والے اور اس کی ویب سائٹ ”براس ٹیکس“ چلانے والے یہی لوگ ہیں۔ یہ بہت اچھی اچھی باتیں کرکے لوگوں کو راغب کررہا ہے۔ یوسف کذاب نے بھی یہی کیا تھا۔ کذاب نے اس کو اپنے صحابیوں میں ابوبکر کا درجہ دیا تھا۔ زید حامد کے اصل خیالات وہی ہےں۔ آج انٹرنیٹ اور ای امیل کے ذریعے جب اس سے یوسف کذاب سے تعلق اور اس کے موجودہ نظریات کے حوالے سے سوال کیا جاتا ہے تو یہ کوئی جواب دینے کے بجائے دھمکیوں پر اتر آتا ہے۔ اللہ توبہ کرنے والوں کی توبہ قبول فرماتا ہے۔ میں نے صدق دل سے توبہ کی اور پھر ان لوگوں کے خلاف کام کیا۔ اللہ ہمیں معاف کردے اور ان دجالوں کے فتنوں سے محفوظ فرمائے۔ میری آپ سے درخواست ہے کہ آپ میرے دوست رضوان طیب کے لیے دعا کریں کہ اللہ اس کی ذہنی حالت ٹھیک کردے اور اس کو معاف فرمائے۔ آمین“ قارئین آپ نے Go update yourself with Islamic knowledge first, understand life of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) and His Sahabaas (RA), correct your beliefs, implement them in your life, once you have this you wouldn’t need ppl like Teeth to lead you. Stop becoming visionary and self proclaimed leaders when you don’t have the ability fix yourself.
Behave like peaceful/tolerant human being. Environment here is like as if one animal has intruded others territory.

And for those who blamed Zaid for something hes not then be ready to face the Allah’s (SW) anger. In the end after watching his programmes I didn’t find anything controversial in his messages. He talked about Pakistan, stable/prosperous/peaceful/Islamic Pakistan. Then he identified to you and provided you with the understanding to differentiate between so called friends and enemies.
For me important thing is that hes sharing the knowledge and not imposing anything on me. And if knowledge comes from any other source I would take and every Muslim would take it too.
Don’t try to jump to conclusion unless you have earth shattering evidences. Just arguing for the sake of argument is lame.

He is trying to damage our economy by preaching people to pull out money from Banks and by ‘Brasstacks Gold Coins”…At the time when global financial system is in a mess while countries like Pakistan are safe from it due to less exports.
What else an enemy of Pakistan can do except pushing this country in to bankruptcy?

Well as far as Banking system is concerned that is no doubt controversial and I won’t deny that because of profits etc it is concerned un-Islamic. Well I won’t debate on this issue since I have little knowledge about this…
But as ZZH says we need an alternative Islamic banking system, that is true … just keep aside that whether it is possible or not – that is another debate – But I agree, Pakistan alone can not do that, look at other Islamic countries, who will support Pakistani system.. unknown…

it is possible one has looked for TRUTH all in his life.he went to many places.people from different schools of thought.one who looks for TRUTH does these kinds of things.famous suhabi Sulman Farsi did similar thing.he quit his fire worship and became christian but after some time he quit christianity and became a good muslim.so if zaid hamid met people of every thought for seeking truth than that should not be taken a evidence against him.

People! In Allah’s name, if you are Muslims, behave like Muslims. It is not right of a Muslim to speak of a subject which s/he knows not. It is not appropriate behavior to spread rumors and hearsay on sensitive matters, especially that are about two things declared sacred by the Divine Law: Life of a human, and the honor of a human.
Are you able to sit as a judge on the matter of blasphemy – would you be called in to give Sharai opinion on the case of Yousuf Ali? Are you PERSONALLY qualified? If not, then what, in Allah’s system, has given you the right to cry for blood of the man and of anyone associated with him (according to this blog – which could be true or not).
Are you able to sift through sound economic/ political opinion from hogwash? If you are not qualified through study or active engagement, then what in Allah’s system gives you the right to disqualify another person’s opinion who may have studied more than you?
It is disturbing that the blogger and commentators are people who have taken subtle issues of blasphemy and religion – and given judgments on them.
It’s only after I read this blog casually (and I was about to casually type in, “Oh I don’t personally like Brasstacks” when I just said to myself hey wait a minute! You haven’t even seen that program!) that I went on to study the case of Yousuf Ali. Suffice it to say that there was no clear indication of blasphemy and ulema from Pakistan and abroad appealed that the case against him was not just technically false, but also what he DID say was not out of line with Shariah. I then found a YouTube presentation where Yousuf was condemned for saying something about the noor of Muhammad peace be upon him being in him.
Dear Muslims on this blog! What has happened to your aqal? Have you read at least the twice-mentioned episode in the Quran where Allah created Adam and asked Iblees to prostrate. Quran’s own words: Allah said, “We put some of our noor in Adam/ bashar.”
So shall we kill someone who says they have the noor of Allah in them? The Noor of Allah is EVERYTHING, and EVERYTHING is the Noor of Allah. Because if say Kalima-e-tawhid, could we believe there is anything else?
But I have heard stupider things from Muslims. Here is a gem from a jamaat-e-Islaami cousin of mine. I said, “you should use tulsi plant to cure ills, it’s planted in houses to rid of insect.” And she replied, “But it’s a Hindu plant, and so is garlic. Therefore my father (JI) says we shouldn’t plant these.” Subhan’Allah! This is the grip that Pakistani Muslims have on Tawhid – no wonder we are despised the world over for our idiotic interpretation of Islam (Pakistanis are Muslims, everyone else including African and American Muslims are lesser Muslims.) Who created Tulsi and garlic and gave them benefit for humankind? Allah, or some clay idol in India? Who stops a Muslim from using these? Allah, or idiocity?
Allah’s spirit is in humans. Prophet Isa is called “Rooh Allah” – shall we issue a fatwa to kill – I am sorry, on who then? Because Quran says that!

Please reflect upon the fact that the duas that you read in panj-suras after namaaz are often by Sufi shaykhs, including Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani.
Hazrat is a term specifically used to mean someone who is “hazir” – i.e. in the present moment – aware. In Sufi tradition, it is a technical term that refers to a person who is not in the Past or Future – but honors the current moment. And for those who have an issue with that, ponder over what Allah says: “Do not curse time (the zamana), for I Am Time Myself!” (Zamanay ko bura na kaho, kyunke zamana mein khud hoon.)
Pakistanis grow up on Sufi literature. Here are the Sufis who are part of our textbooks: Rumi, Hafiz, Saadi, Iqbal. Others whose stories are read by kids in Pakistani textbooks: Abdul Qadir Jilani, Ali Hajveri, Data Ganj Bakhsh.

There are overt matters, of course, where jurisprudence is activated in accordance with the level of Shariah practiced in that area.
– It is common amongst Sufis to state spiritual facts in a fashion that is not understandable to common persons. This blog and its comments section is utterly the wrong place for me to start a counter-argument on the subtleties of the Quran, and of Allah’s message.

– and finally all that being Musharraf’s fault

It’s not a small matter to approve of murder on a popularly read blog. Dr. Awab, feel your responsibility. Follow the golden rules of Islam: Allah has given strict admonitions about passing on hearsay and “conjecture.”
Conjecture – which is what this blog post technically is – is a sin for all those Qur’an thumping lovelies here. What can be more of a conjecture than such conclusions as:
“This guy is copy/ pasting email replies, hence he is lying.”
Subhan’Allah! What is wrong with – even if ZZH were Iblis himself – a person giving a ditto reply to a ditto question? Just because a person cannot think of fresh words to answer “Are you a member of a cult/ on CIA payroll/ hence darkly related to Musharraf/ hence linked to kufr” queries – they are lying?
And therefore we should go ahead with slaughtering the honor of someone who could be a perfectly innocent man, though an idiot or a sensationalist, or an ugly duckling or may be even guilty?
