The Brave New Foundation has launched an effort Rethink Afghanistan to better help the American people understand the ongoing problem in Afghanistan and has produced the second video in its initiative. In the second video Bruce Riedel the leading foreign policy expert for President Obama’s Afghanistan review, has called it “the most dangerous country in the world today“. Pakistan has nuclear weapons and a government disconnected from the poverty, malnutrition, and lack of healthcare afflicting its people.
Though Pakistan remains a U.S. ally, tensions continue to rise as the U.S. considers broadening military strikes within Pakistan’s borders. Part two of Rethink Afghanistan focuses on how the Afghanistan crisis affects Pakistan and all of us.
To watch then entire section on Pakistan you can head over to website of Rethink Afghanistan
You may also sign a petition on the website calling for some much needed congressional [US] oversight hearings on the war on terror while it is also possible to send a video message of your question to the US Congress oversight hearings
PETITION: It is imperative that we hold oversight hearings on the Afghanistan conflict. Before committing more troops and taxpayer dollars to Afghanistan, we must first have a national conversation to address the many questions surrounding this war. At a time when our country faces a credibility crisis around the world, record casualties in Afghanistan, and an economic meltdown at home, oversight hearings are needed now more than ever. The government must examine how foreign policy is being executed in Afghanistan, while helping to alleviate our financial strains.

I think we need to strengthen our media to make better documentaries about our country. We also need a lot of self-reflection to fix our problems..
Thanks for sharing it is obvious where it is going. ttp://tr.im/hDQv
they understand everything and they force a yellow weak democracy on us to fulfil their aims.To control the masses and plunder resources, how can they subdue a nation,a muslim nation.
They need to read the history properly. They have pushed us to our limit,we have no way and where to escape.
in Paksitan it is easier to die than to live;this is our reality.
We are a nation who decided to have bombs with our body and lay under Indian tanks.
We are again that desperate,USA doesnot understand this neither corrupt politicians .
This nation will not be fooled any more nor on fake promises and neither in the name of Islam.
Pakistan is ready for big shake up from inside, the people have realsied their power and nothing can stop us now.
Americans had never come accross a nation which is so desperate, determined and aware of themselves.
We are not Iraq ,America cannot bribe us on Democracy,
We are not afghanistan, America cannot lure us into civil war,America has to work hard ,the only way to Pakistan is Friendship and no interference with our internal affairs.
America has run out of gloves.
hummmm!
they will not stop pursuing us till the destruction of our nuclear programme.
Its all about our nuclear assets. The drone attacks will extend to punjab and even Islamabad eventually; while our political leaders just get dollars to sit it through. Why doesnt the airforce patrol these areas and put missiles up their tailpipes?
We have been imprisoned by these corrupt politicians who for their lack of vision have sold our country to these americans and zionists. They shout all they want in assemblies and pass bills condemning foreseeable strikes in baluchistan but they piss their pants when a US envoy comes to Pakistan and slaps them for doing so. With people like these; who needs external enemies?

It is the nastiest trick of US to show itself as a friend of Pakistan and at the same time dig it roots.
When will we as a Pakistani will learn.
We have seen the trick circle of Mr Zardari that was a trailer of what US is doing with us.
Drone attacks are increased and our mouths are sewn up with dollars.
"Kia mein Pakistani hoon" if the answer is yes what am I doing as an individual for it's betterment.
We need to rethink our ties with US to if it is our friend or enemy number one.
Only today I saw a documentary (linked below) that is relevant.
The documentary is by Sharmeen Obeid-Chinoy, a wonderfully talented Pakistani film-maker, and is called “Pakistan’s Taliban Generation.” I don’t know how many of you have seen it before (I think it aired on TV recently) but for those who have not, here it is:
The youtube video has five parts, 50 minutes in total.
