Mumtaz Bhutto leader of SNF talks to Express News host Kamran Shahid on 17th January 2010. I believe this to be a very interesting interview worth sharing on this blog, Mumtaz Bhutto generally an old-cadre PPP supporter shares his political views and is seen to be genuinely begruntled at seeing the PPP and the Bhutto name hijacked by Asif Zardari etc. He talks about BB’s fake will, sheds light on Beanzir Bhutto’s murder, the murder of Murtaza Bhutto and many other issues.
UPDATE: I had to remove the video stream as the file seemed to be infected by a trojan

No doubt he is a crook, but more crooks are the ones who presented him the seat of presidency by the biggest pimp of pimp army (Musharraf).
This crook is already a bone stuck in the throat of (Na)Pak Army. He has the Sind card, the BB Card and soon rest of the crooks of Pakistan will join him @ a %…. and then Pakistan Army will report to a vice-roy instead of direct to the QUEEN.
Right right! 🙂

Another such bufoon is self proclaimed analyst and thinker Irshad Ahmed Haqqani [A member of Jamat-e-Islami and Columnist of Daily Jang] and very worried about PPP Internal Politics he is also an apologist for Ex Servicemen Society specifically for Lt. What about his past he also served under Farooq Laghari’s Caretaker Cabinet in 1996 so much for the principled stand of Irshad Ahmed Haqqani.
Thank you very much for posting this on your blog! 🙂
Mr Mumtaz Bhutto didn't give any satisfactory reply on this news!!!
Hyderabad Dawn reporter brutally assaulted Friday, 01 Jan, 2010 http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-…
It was quite satisfactory; the reporter corrected his statement, and he did so before getting beaten up by unknown people. For minor injuries the reporter stayed in the hospital so that some political parties and goons could publicize it!
However, the SNF workers were accused, arrested and they are now on bail; case pending.

Firstly, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto did not leave the PPP, but his membership was terminated without any notice!
Secondly, you have no right right to comment on one's personal life; this refelects your upbringing as a person. But what do you exactly mean by 'a few days'?
Finally, the differences between him and Benazir Bhutto (never called herself a Zardari) were entirely political, they had no personal vendetta against each other!
Mumtaz bhutto has a same status in Sindh politics as we see the role of Altaf hussian in controlling mafia in his permissible area.
He was among the first cousin of Bhutto who offered marriage proposal to nusrat bhutto after his death .I don't know whether he offered same to Ghinwa for this as he is always on forefront for his immoral "help" to that family.
These feudal characters of Sindh who got ownership of huge land via British rulers are still bound to human slavery principle for controlling masses. These parasitic characters always look for a powerful host and after 1947 indpendence , they have been stick to military's interest as per their family traditions.
They know all the emotional tricks to fool the depressed class around them and Sindh card is all time activated game for all of them.
It is obsured to compare him with Altaf Hussain; on one side you have a true child of this soil, and the only one to hold the title of 'Dahesir' by the Sindhi people and on the other hand you have an outsider who calls the partition of India as 'the biggest blunder in the history of mankind'!
He has faced every case and trial against him, never did he seek refuge under the NRO.
People over here reach their new lows! Nobody, neither Benazir Bhutto (never called herself a Zardari) nor Begum Nusrat Bhutto and nor Ms. Sanam Bhutto have accused of him of such obsurdness!
Now coming to these people that you call feudals; Please go through the list of memebers of the Sindh Legislative Assemblies and the Muslim League (original) before and some years after the partition. You will see what the profession of most of the noble men was. As far as the ownership is concerend, how can the British give ownership to anyone of which they were never the owners? They just helped organized the records.
Finally, he speaks on confederation and it is very stupid to assume that a single province card be used for it when it is a national program!
Partition was indeed a blunder.

But today the situation is worse than ever. Muslims have become firm in their communalism; they prefer politics to religion and follow their worldly ambitions as commands of religion. History bears testimony to the fact that in every age we ridiculed those who pursued the good with consistency, snuffed out the brilliant examples of sacrifice and tore the flags of selfless service. Who are we, the ordinary mortals; even high ranking Prophets were not spared by these custodians of traditions and customs. — Maulana Abul Kalam Azad in an interview to journalist Shorish Kashmiri for a Lahore based Urdu magazine, Chattan, in April 1946. D2,
I may have differences with Altaf Hussain, but he does not need your certificate to be son of the soil.
So don't call him outsider.
Its the attitude of pathetic a$$holes like you, that people follow morons like Altaf Hussain.
QK,
If not an outsider (but he surely is not in the country), then surely not a Sindhi; this one thing that only a true Sindhi can certify, and Aalhamdulillah, I am one!
Excuse me if I have given you the impression of being against every Urdu-speaking. It is not that, I respect them, and my very own grandfather who was an MLA of the Muslim League (original) went much steps ahead to settle them. But I am against the 'gunda element' that came after the beach of Liaquat-Nehru pact. The majority are patriots and loyal to the land and soil; I am sure you cannot deny the existence of a smal minority who give them a bad name.
Another comment, and another low; people must right responsibily here! 🙂

Dear Sir,
Pardon for the personal comment on Mr Mumtaz’s Personal Life, I just quoted the Herald and no disrespect was intended. Sorry Again.
I agree with you 100% on Feudal. It is become a Fashion to ridicule Landlords/Feudal [no doubt they are no angels] but sweeping statements without providing and cogent proof is called Witch Hunting. And I also agree that there were many Feudal Lords [rather overwhelming Majority in Muslim League of Jinnah were lickspittles of British Raj] but one cannot deny that as far as Sindh was concerned minus two or three members in Sindh Assembly everyone else was a Feudal and these very Feudal Lords were behind the Motion Supporting Pakistan, names are as under:

LATE. Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Shah AKA G M SYED [A DIEHARD COMPANION OF LATE. JINNAH]
SEVENTEENTH SESSION
RESOLUTION ON MATTERS OF GENERAL PUBLIC IMPORTANCE
On 3rd March, 1943, Mr. G.M. Syed moved the Historical Pakistan Resolution:-
“This House recommends to Government to convey to His Majesty’s Government through His Excellency the Viceroy, the sentiments and wishes of the Muslims of this Province that whereas Muslims of India are a separate nation possessing religion, philosophy, social customs, literature, traditions, political and economic theories of their own, quite different from those of Hindus, they are justly entitled to the right, as a single, separate nation, to have independent national states of their own, craved out in the zones where they are in majority in the sub-continent of India.
“Whereas they emphatically declare that no constitution shall be acceptable to them that will place the Muslims under a Central Government dominated by another nation, as in order the order of things to come, it is necessary for them to have independent National States of their own and hence any attempt to subject the Muslims of India under one Central Government is bound to result in Civil War with grave unhappy consequences.”
Walkout by Hindu Members
The Honourable mover of the resolution stated that his resolution was intended to convey the views and sentiments of only the Mussalmans of Sind and not of the entire population of Sind. The Chair also held that it was only the wish of the Mussalmans of Sind which was going to be conveyed by this resolution. In view of this ruling of the Chair that the Hindus had no interest in the resolution and that it was only the religion and sentiments of the Mussalmans of Sind that were to be conveyed through it, the following Hindu members left the House.
Mr. Nihchaldas C. Vazirani, Mr. Dialmal Doulatram, Mr. Ghanumal Tarachand, Mr. Partabrai Khasukhdas, mr. Akhji Ratansing Sodho, Mr. Mukhi Gobindram and Rao Bahadur Hotchand Hiranand.

“UNQUOTE”
It is very funny to see that if people don't agree, they touch the lowest level of disagreement.
Before praising that man One should read the background politics of these feudal who got empowerment of land and its poor people via British rulers.
During British rule Larkana became the headquarters of Larkana District and for a time was part of the Bombay Presidency of British India. The city lay on the route of the North-Western Railway, and the population according to the 1901 census of India was 14,543. Due to its enriched agricultural and natural minerals contents this city had gained the title of the 'Eden of Sind.' It is one of the most important grain marts of Sind, and is famous for a variety of rice called sugdāsi.
British think tanks had wisely judged its productivity and strengthened its feudal character to get full advantage of all commodities produced here to UK market via this route. That is why these characters are awarded by Sir and nawab like honor in the file of British monarchy.
No doubt British gave full development vision to that area and these traitors cashed them after their departure. They all time supported army generals, got top seats of Pakistan through out, live like Royals among poorest community of their villages, settled huge industries and got all privileges of states while thy are in power or not.
The lower caliber of Bhutto villagers are so clear that they have accepted a foreigner lady as their new head and now she is running all business and political matters of Bhutto family with same sense of inferiority complex of locals for this ruling family.
All these character by ruling all and all gave nothing to this state expect left over which they discard. They were so poor in their vision and planning that couldnt calculate the approach of British empire for developing this region.
So to whom we should put blame on the down fall of Larkana district?
Respected Nazia,
If by 'foreigner lady' you are refering to Mrs. Ghinwa Bhutto, let it be known that she not the head of the Bhutto family, in cultural norms no woman can be.
She is the wife of a martyr, mothers of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's progeny (Zardri's children are not), a Bhutto and an honourable woman.
Just like Begun Nusrat, she too took her husband's name; Shaheed Benazir never took her husband's name, she was born as a Bhutto and even died as a Bhutto.
Must we comment on personal lives of others? We are no angels, and God is great for being so gracious to us. Please refrain from personal comments.
Finally, to whom we should put blame on the down fall of Larkana district? It is quite simple, to those who have failed to provide when in power. And to whom we should give credit on the good (as much as there is) of Larkana district? It is quite simple again, to those who provided with whatever to the best of their capabilities… in or out of the government!
Excuse me, and them too if I or they ever commented on your personal life in a public forum! 🙂
Mr. Aamir Mughal
Thank you for that excerpt, I was looking for it. Although, during the time it was passed in was just known as the Lahore Resolution, or resolution for provinces, states and units to be completely autonomous.
Later, surely it served as the Pakistan Resolution; till the Cabinet Mission Plan failed (on the rejection of Congress) the objective of the Muslim League was to stay united but with complete autonomity of the provinces, states and units.
Thank you one again! 🙂
What happened Hon’ble Mohammad Ali Jinnah (Rahmatullah Allhai) was unfortunate, and I call it murder. I have been doing some research on it, till yet I am of the point of view that only the Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan was made aware of his sudden visit to Karachi from Ziarat,

These all are public figures, and consider themsleves as leader of people in their constituencies. So why not they should be discussed.
If mumtaz bhutto and his team attacked on one of finest news paper's office than it represents the trend of a typical mentality and become public topic.
This matter of marriage proposal was discussed on TV and not my personal probe so what is big issue.
Ghinwa bhutto is a widow of martyr or criminal but how she is running a political group in Bhutto's land is a public issue and can be discussed.
My point for Sindh leadership is very simple and I never use deep philosophy and history to charge them but simply telling that down fall of Sind and this productive land was done by its all time rulers.See the history
-they are all time winners of their particular seats ,
-all are placed in richest class of Paksitan,
-mostly are oxford return
Their life styles are contrary to their rhetoric words which they use in front of the poorest and illiterate class as their selector.
All feudal are always with govt so they intentionally created this backwardness in the system to rule the illiterate class which has always less potential to undermine their crookedness and ill will moves.
Now I tell you another truth about loyality of Quaid's team most of Quaids' friends and those groups who voted for Pakistan resolution, cashed this event and turned the owner of many industries , land and many other running ventures left by Hindu on the name of sacrifices .
So opportunist were with quaid for their personal interests and that is why not a single modern equipped ambulance was sent to Quaid in his way to hospital from airport. As the interests of those people to Quiad had ended after division and Quaid's hard rules of honesty was big hurdle for them too.
It is bitter truth and our coming generations are acquired species of such opportunists which forcibly declared themselves as our leaders on the basis of their land and money.
Sure, they are public figures and they must be discussed but with certain limitations, especially when it comes to women.
He, neither his team (if you mean his party workers) attacked any of the new agency; they were once accused, but the Sindh High Court after granting them bailed ruled it out and found nobody guilty of the accusations that were politically motived. As for the more recent accusations, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto refuted it very well; those workers accused have been set on bail and Inshallah yet again there will be justice.
Now coming to as you have quoted history; some people enjoy a vote bank, either inherited or earned. Among these are the nobles and also the immoral goons, who switch party-to-party for their personal gain. Even then, it is good to see nobody stands in elections undisputed. Some of them have even lost the credibility to be voted, some are victims of mass rigging while some of them are truly victorious.
I agree that all of them can be considered rich, if not absolutely then surely relatively; what we need to look at is their source of income, whether is it legal or illegal wealth.
Mostly are not Oxford or foriegn graduates, but a very very few; and as we saw in the last elections how many were disqualified for not even having local degrees. Let us not forget Mr. Zardari here who has just done his intermidiate, and was expelled from Petaro Caidet College! 🙂
Just like in any other system, there are a few black-sheeps, and surely there are in feudalism too. And not ALL feudals are in the government. Those who were landlords by profession got no share of the industries that the Hindus (those who migrated left). Although, it was the primary right of the Sindhis to acquire all that was left by the Hindus, but very little or nobody did. The majorities (those who have never set beyonf the toll gates of Karachi, or even they have, they have just gone for excursions and events) view on feudalism are based on the biased reports of the press and the media.
What happened Hon'ble Mohammad Ali Jinnah (Rahmatullah Allhai) was unfortunate, and I call it murder. I have been doing some research on it, till yet I am of the point of view that only the Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan was made aware of his sudden visit to Karachi from Ziarat, and he took it on his own to cater to his arrival. I am not concluding anything on this topic yet. DO share any insight if you have based on records.
Surely, Liaqat Ali Khan was not the elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, if he had been a result of elections he would have lost miserably!
One thing more about self respect of those leaders of land and money that what so ever he is blaming zardari for misusing Bhutto name is none of his business.
He is her official widower.
Bhutto took decision of marrying him in her very mature age.
She had three kids of his name.
She always protected him all scandals and whole Pakistan watched it.
He is rejected uncle of Bhutto and have no authority to challenge the credibility of zardari.
if her kids, sister or nearest friends make any statement then we can listen to them.
The simple way to stick to your dignified stand is to avoid all people in any forum who hurt you and your self respect again and again.
Never place your foot on that area where you are repeatedly discarded by insulting and abusive remarks .
So Mumtaz bhutto again and agian himself lowered his
self respect but interfering in Bhutto personal matters knowing well that he was rejected by his blood relations many time in past.
It is clearly his business as he is the head of the Bhutto tribe, made by the Bhuttos.
He surely is her widower, and nobody is denying that. She had three kids (God bless them) with him and nobody is denying that either. But she never called herself a Zardari, and Mr. Zardari does not JUST call his children Zardaris should also not be denied too. She was at a very mature age, but in her book she has confirmed that she married Mr. Zardari due to pressure and insecurity! 🙂
She surely rejected him and terminated his memebership from the PPP without any notice. But she always called him by his full name, which always ended with Bhutto. And she possibly could not deny that Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto and him were cousins; all this quite evident when I said they just had political differences, and not personal.
Thank you for, may I say, consideration of my dignity. The simple way to stick to my dignified stand is to stop people from disrespecting in a respectful way.
As for your last remark, I have made my point clear. He called her a martyr, and all grudges against her have been washed off by this martyrdom!
D2,
Shove up your sentiments for the rest of Muhajirs up yours.
We don't need a certificate from you of being loyal or not.
As a matter of fact, you can shove that certificate, up your too.
QK
The word 'Muhajir' does not exist anymore; whether legally or illegally, before or after the Liaquat-Nehru breach, everyone holding CNIC is a Pakistan now.
As for the certificate, I rest my case! 🙂
Mughal
It is very useful information you have floated here.I have heard most of them through my elders and don't have any kind of references to it but you provided it in accurate way and now I have saved few to read it in free time.
I observed through my practical experience that some families whose elders were attached with quaid azam fully cashed this Pakistan movement in their personal favors and it is creation of Pakistan that had turned their days from ordinary life styles to dominating class of Pakistan.
Some families like allama Iqbal and owner of qurshi industries had very low profile life styles at the time of creation of Pakistan but after partition, they took custody of agriculture and commercial lands and changed their living styles.
It is another aspect that what are their inner horrible family stories but this way they become ruling elite class of Pakistan without passing any scale of hardworking and dedication,
On papers and social circles such people are shown by different ways but those who know them personally, aware that no tints of nationalism are their any act and they are mostly concentrated in multiplying their personal assets and status all the time.
I think when such opportunist in urban areas and feudal in our side paved the way to selfish and incompetent class in streamline of national built up process.
Further deterioration was done by these weak characters who also transferred the virus of corruption to army.
You might get any written proof that General Ayub(who was lt col) written in his ACR by Quaid azam as an incompetent and highly drunken officer who at the time of partition ignored his job targets of saving hindus/muslims in railway stations. This statement was said by a senior military officer whose father had witnessed this document in military record.
So how that paper was removed from the army record is still mystery for them and that disqualified colonial had reached to General rank in Pakistan army.
Where ever we make probe the end reaches to higher authority of army and our intelligence agencies.
Thanks to Musharraf era as in his period due to his boldness and incompetency now people of Pakistan also know that usually behind messes happened in Pakistan, clue string goes to army house.
Dear Ms Nazia
Thanks for the compliment, I am honoured. I am not very fond of Allama Iqbal's Poetry but he was a thorough gentleman. I have an American 'friend'? Mr Paul Wolf who is a Lawyer for Civil Liberties in Washington DC, USA. He has compiled declassify US GOVT Secret Documents on Pakistan and Partition, I am providing the link. I hope it will help all the visitors on this forum to read about Partition and Military in Politics.

D2
you looked very worried about respect of Bhutto family specially for their ladies.
I hope you watched the scene when ghinwa bhutto was beating ordinary officials of election commission whom she found doing some kind of rigging.
You look me very much impressed by our ruling class or trying to pose to be a respectable class of these so called respectable polticians.
But surely I am not as they have disappointed us a lot in all state matters. They all are accomplices with estbalshment of tending this liberal culture into land of extremsims.
Bhutto contirbuted it too in this taliban factor just for occupying seat as PM and sharing some deals with army managemnt .
In our country it might be worst or good signs that after death we never say bad word to deceased and most of eltie class after death get the title of shaheed in our land of ignorants. So mumtaz bhutto is also showing and gaining political sympathies by this way.
Samething happened in bhutto case. She was killed by her closest people. Before coming to Paksitan she got all kind of guaantees from taliban and amrcian side that she would nt be attacked but where went wrong is only known to her friends and family who have no interest on probing her daylight murder but focusing all towards plundering and festivity as ruling class over her dead body.
That is good you admit that she took the decison of zardari in pressure and high insecure way.
You know these are the best moment when one can judge the caliber and nerves of other at these pinnacle point of life.
She selected him even knowing his educational record, about his colourful youth and his low profile business detials were obvious to all.Even his goon like personality at that moments were reflecting his way of living
So what it means that queen of hearts picked a lower caliber man as her ultimate choice and to be father of her next generation. That is my question to you?
For me this is her pick and mental approach that as his father cornered an old lady as his first family wife just for sake of land she would behave like him too.
I can assure you that strong educated and liberal lady cant think of choosing such a criminal like character as his life partners. They might pick a docile and soft nature but never pick a lower caliber and felon for fulfilling their insecure portions of practical life.
She was afraid of capable man or sincere educated men were not interested to send her proposal.
So her choice of zardari is part of her confined mentality.
You know most of influential and complex daughters never change their surname as it keep them in high profile in society and in their moving circle. So the real power is actually in the name of Bhutto which was and still are being misused on all level to get some kind of political status.
It reflects slavery attitude of our nation too which is repeatedly being used as important political tool in our games of dirty politics.
Respected Nazia
One of the most important thing in life, or should, be is honour. And in my culture (Sindhi) women are associated with honour, and therefore treasured! We must guard our treasure well, specially the one that breath.
I am an ordinary man, and I condem everything and everyone that is wrong and evil and acknowledge everything and everyone that is right and good. It does not matter what class anything or anyone is from.
I agree and accept that, yes even then Benazir Bhutto took Mr. Zardari to be her husband and father to their children. She died with her father's name, and he still lives in her name!
You are right about the influence of the Bhutto name, and if it is going to be used then only the Bhuttos have the right to do so. Shame on those who nevermind their forfathers' names and not only live in the Bhutto name but also come into power with it, loot with it and kill with it.
The Bhutto family has been in politics since 1927, ever since the British allowed politics in the region. They have had their weaknesses but but were never accused of crimes of corruption until Mr. Zardari made its association.
Mughal
These days I have shortage of time but surely read all stuff in my free time for my reference.Actually I enjoy more hearing the real events by people who witnessed all this or heard through their elders.
You have very good thoughts about Iqbal but I have very different observations after seeing merriment and revelry activities of his next generation in Lahore .So I avoid to disclose as it might hurts some idealists who put him in highest level of respect.
I don't think so he has any major contribution in Pakistan partition but his particular objectivity for Islam and Muslim community which he revealed through his poetry was different and revolutionary at the time of mostly romantic and amorous typical poets.
D2 or Islamabad Observer,
Muhajir is an identity chosen by the people. It exists in your dictionary or not, does not matter. People all over Pakistan know who are those people.
Those days are gone when we sought the identity of being Sindhi and then treated like dirt. NO MORE..
We don't worship soil or land and thus our loyalty does not belong to soil or land, we worship Allah and to HIM belongs our loyalty.
You guys worship corruption and would always try to defend it, be it Zardari, Dr Qatil Magsee or any other crook.
QK
It exists in my dictionary too, but only for those who have not gone through the process of natural and legal imigrations. Everbody who has a CNIC is a Pakistani but if they still want to call themselves that, then so be it, it is their choice.
Shukar Alhamdulillah! That you no longer sought the identity of being a Sindhi. Do you speak of the larger majority of the Urdu-speaking, or as you say 'Muhajir'? 🙂
It should be evident that I too only worship Allah, from Him only I ask and Him only I thank for His blessings; I take Sindh to me many of his blessings that he has betowed me with.
"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." (49:15 -Al-Quran)
I condem everything and everyone that is wrong and evil and acknowledge everything and everyone that is right and good!
another feudal who while as chief minister, Sindh was involved in organized crimes, rioting and show of racism.
Mr. Chishti
He was the Chief Minister during Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's time; Sindh was betowed with the most developement in those years and the gap between rural and urban areas was lessened. The law and order situation was at it's best, until he proposed the language bill.
In his first official question by the press when he became the Chief Minister was on the issue of Sindhis, non-Sindhis, new-Sindhis, Urdu-speaking and Muhajirs. He replied, everyone living in Sindh is a Sindhi, and surely ultimately a Pakistani. But the test was put forward for everyone when he proposed the language bill.
Sindhis are not racist, but it is a different matter if they are a great race! 🙂
Dear Chishti Sahab,
Sometime I wonder as to why Military Tolerated him as "Caretaker CM Sindh" under Farooq Laghari [Military Establishment was behind Laghari]
D2.
You skipped my query that why benzair selected a crook and low competent man as to be father of her next generation who are still tagged the name of maternal side.
If she could have judge the ill wills of her corrupt uncles like mumtaz bhutto or others, why she ignored the suspicious personality of zardari.
In Islamic society woman is recognized by his father family name and in many Arab countries her name is not changed even after marriage but surely in her married circle she is recognized as Mrs ABC like that.
But no way kids can use the name of maternal grand father.
So my point is that benzir all power was hidden in Bhutto's name and then she was in need of a goon or a lower caliber person to meet her requirement of insecurity and martial void in her life.
When she left Pakistan in Sharif regime, she has lost control on these two forces.Bhutto name was lowered down by her high corruption deeds and incompetency in government matters and zardari factor had become out of control .So she preferred to retrieve from politics to save her unaccounted assets which she mostly earned in her 2nd regime.
For zardari like Sindhi woman like Benzair was surely a big treasure for him.
When she was alive gave him all opportunity to make the record of plundering and kick backs for their next political games and when she died, left a piece of paper that gave him appointment of highest office of our Government.
So zardari acts are little different than other Sindhis who married their female relations as precious treasures to Quran or make them karo kari for saving their honor or property too.
In Bhutto- zardari case the objective is same and it is to safe guard illegal treasures through their illicit means.
Respected Nazia
If that was not her mistake then surely she wanted to have someone who could be more like a wife to her than a husband. In other words, someone that would not over-power her.
Sardar Mumtaz Bhutto is not, never was and Inshallah never will be corrupt. His membership was terminated because of an agreement over their vision; his was and is confederation and ideological politics and her's was federalism and power-politics.
Surely, there is much influence in Bhutto name. And Benazir Bhutto sticked with it, although according to the norms (cocial and cultural), the woman after marriage takes her husbands name.
A very small minority, not just in Sindh but other parts of Pakistan who bind lives with the Quran or kill innocent men and women in the name of karo (man) kari (woman)!
Mumtaz bhutto was a typical land lord of Sindh and he never tolerated supremacy of another Bhutto in his area. That is main reason of his clash with ruling Bhutto family chain.
He was always found with loose remarks for Bhutto family who are his first cousins too.The hate to zardari attributed to another factor that though his marriage to Benazir now the property of Bhutto is in custody of Zardaris and this is all time annoying factor to these land lords.
Who told you that only small areas ,karo kari or Quran marriages exists in Sindh. It is all being done as per requirement and only comes out when some lady rebels, other wise mostly take it as normal routine of their family norms.
For your refresher thoughts read the following.

http://rethinkingmarxism.org/cms/node/1137
I fully hope for negating all this found in above coverage you would try your best but this is all truth and real picture of Sindh rural culture under such landlords.
Bhutto's choice of zardari is her level of aptitude, her choice for a life partner or might be superiority complex to keep her on spot light always in front of any dull personality like him.
So we as a nation trusted her more than her capacity.
She couldnt pick a reasonable life partner for her.
Even she couldnt prove officially in her two tenures that her father was wrongly murdered through judiciary.
So how she could have thought something good for her country.
Time and events have proved a lot about her credibility but we people are impressed by charismatic and oxford returned personalities and love to live in infatuated imagination that such corrupt and feudal character might bring changes in our lives.
Respected Nazia
First of all, Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto is the elected head of the Bhutto tribe. Most of his opposition came from people who do not belong to this tribe; it surely is none of the non-Bhuttos business to decide who shall lead the Bhutto tribe.
May I know who all do you mean when you say 'He was always found with loose remarks for Bhutto family who are his first cousins too.'?
Now coming the view of Sindh that I expressed in my earlier post. Nobody needs to tell me what I said, I have witnessed it myself. The articles that you posted only mention a few areas of Sindh, there are far too many villages and cities than those.
Feudalism exists there only to fill a vacum which is created by the failure of law agencies failure. The reports of the press and media are biased. They are sometimes true also; but how come they just report the bad and immoral decisions that take and not those which are good?
A few years ago the feud between the Nareja and Kalhora tribes, which had claimed 37 lives over a period of three years, was referred to Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto by the Khairpur district authorities, who had failed to stop the bloodshed. The feud was resolved and peace restored to the area in a jirga conducted by Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto in a matter of a few hours.
What is said in the articles may be true. But it is not the complete picture of Sindh.
As for the comments you have made about Benazir Bhutto and Zardari, I agree with them but I also agree with Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto, who says all is washed of her after the martyrdom.

D2 is correct because such traditions also exist in Baluchistan, NWFP, and Punjab as well [Swareh, and Vani Trading daughters for settling blood accounts]. This Karo Kari Tradition also exist in Jordan and other Arab Countries and also exist the circumcision of women. Therefore instead of stereotyping the entire communities we must specify because below mentioned example cannot be put quoted for entire Urdu Speaking Community.

Late. Agha Shorish Kashmiri had written a book Us Bazar Mein

These institutions are the citadel of culture and etiquette. We send our younger male to learn etiquette.
"UN-QUOTE"
Would Josh Sahab or any other honourable person have sent his younger son to learn etiquette in Brothel. If that is so then why this honour was just restricted to Male Member of Nawab Class of UP, they should have sent their Mother, Daughters and Sisters there to teach all and sundry the etiquette.
2- Lihaf [Quilt] by Late. Ms. Ismat Chughtai [Urdu] – Lihaf [Quilt] by Late. Ms. Ismat Chughtai is written on Lesbianism amongst Nawabzadis [Elite in Lucknow, UP India] and Homosexuality amongst male Nawabs of Lucknow.
Further Orgies are mentioned in Tareekh-e-Owadh [present day UP] by Hakeem Muhammad Najamul Ghani Kaanpuri and it will open your eyes as to what had been going around in the Palaces/Jagirs of Nawabs in UP in 17 and 18 Century. They had put even Greeks and Romans in shame. Particularly the chapters about Burhanul Mulk Saadat Ali Khan [Great Great Great Grand Father of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah] – for 7 generation every Nawab used to have more than 4 wives and countless women [and boys too] for carnal pleasures.
But let me quote D2 "A very small minority" not the majority of UP, Dehli, Bihar, CP and Hyderabad Deccan who were hard working, decent and honourable.
Mr. Mughal
Let me just add a little to what you said in the last paragraph. Surely, it cannot be argued that people of the places are angels; although, I do not know what of norms and practices they have their, and will not conclude anything AS I HAVE NOT BEEN THERE MYSELF, most people are too quick in making conclusions about Sindh even before setting foot beyong the tool gates of Karachi.
Those who migrated from India to Pakistan, especially Sindh and especially from UP and Bihar and especially after the breach of Liaquat-Nehru pact, among them is a MINORITY who give majority a bad name!
This minority is straightened by the dictators and pampered by the media. There hands are covered in blood of hundreds of Sindhi people, but they are too quick to take refuge under the NRO.
Even after the NRO has been voided, and stated in the detailed judgement on the NRO that 'The Superem Court will decide whether the cases were politically motivated or not, the media turns a blind-eye to them, and only goes after those who took refuge under the NRO for corruption!

Those three names are not in the list of people who took refuge under the NRO.

Sir,
I hope someday, someone will rise and expose those who during General Zia’s days ruthlessly butchered innocent Punjabis, Urdu Speaking, Sindhis and Pashtuns in Riots. Someone must expose those who were behind the massacre of innocent people of Hyderabad in 1988 [more than 200 innocent people died] and then the very next day another ethnic [more than 90 innocent persons were dead] group was targeted in Karachi to create ethnic unrest amongst people of different walk of life though having different political thoughts. Hamid Gul and Imtiaz were incharge of Internal Security those days, least said is better. One clue, a mysterious white colour Charade/White High Roof Suzuki carried out massacre in almost every location.

Not in NRO but they are responsible for the crimes mentioned in statement number 2 and I will add Innocent Urdu Speaking, Punjabis and Pashtuns because these 3 Obnoxious persons were incharge of Internal Security particularly Hamid and Imtiaz afer the death of Zia and they were incharge of internal security under Zia.
In my reference I clearly showed you that what kind of tribe is bhutto and on what style mumtaz bhutto is ruling on them.
He was elected through his power of money, land and guns and it is all provided in these reports which are provided by unbiased reporters.
The group who elected these bhuttos either head or representatives of states are extremely uneducated and conservative class. They are still living in master slave or superior and lower status of a typical rural culture.
so it is not worth that who support mumtaz bhutto to become icon of his constituency.
I have no exact reference but I all the time read his comments on bhutto family when bhutto was alive and no way can be place in any dignified place as remarks of some elders .Any how they can be put into accounts of matter between tow family members but backwardness of their area itself speaks that what kind of rulers they are.
Sindh is now known as hide outs of powerful dacoits, hub of criminal activities like kidnapping for ransom, organized robberies and extreme disorders in security and administration issues.
I am very surprised to hear that you know singh and how ignorant that women oppression rate under wadera shahi and it is highest here after Baluchistan.Southern Punjab lies under two but no way this society is considered having a soft attitude toward woman rights. No doubt they are very popular in keeping lot of wives of their choice, their autaq , hujra or haram is being utilized for molestation of women of lower class but it is a going on process there.
I always told you that they take their womenfolk as their "unshared treasures" so keep them in defined limits and if fear of lost exist they joint it with Quran and land for their spiritual satisfaction. This is another story that how their ladies created immoral loop holes as a strong reaction to such acts but I consider it highly inhumane, and uncivilized act done by those people who come out in public or in educated class as light house of nation under which only darkness exists.
Respected Nazia
Before you go any further disrespecting the man I respect very much, let us agree to disagree! 🙂
I am not disrespecting him any way.None of any report mentioned here is not my production nor I have any personal grudge with him as you people mostly pick from confronted comments .
I am just presenting my personal point of views that reason of sindh downfall should put into accounts of such ever green feudal lords. They and their forefathers are ruling the illiterate class from one generation to another and present the system of illegitimate dominance and servitude on mentally confined human beings.
I judge the people through their working area.Being a hero or master of illiterate group and underdeveloped areas for a century show the weak area of these planners.
You must keep on respecting and idealizing him and there is surely no disagreement on this issue as I am only concerned on my personal respect which you are trying to develop in alien's cyber space.
Respect Nazia
Thank you for not wanting what I feel you were doing. But your views are based on the biased reports and media. To correct them (if you want to) you must set foot in the areas that we talk about.
Sindh's downfall is for two reasons; one are the actions of people who are not of this and second the people of this soil but commit blunders to it, they to me are hypocrites.
Sindh will also rise again and the good that still has in it are because of it's true children, who have been loyal to it for generations.
Being literate does not guarantee that they will choose the best leader; that example is in front of us and has been in the last government as well.
The people who choose Jinnah as their leader in the Muslim League (original) most of them had no formal education. So it is not the education that gives one the sense of choosing the right person but good intentions, loyality to the motherland and the respect for it and its good people.
We must not generalize so quickly about anyones forefathers, until and unless we find out about them thoroughly.
Only Bhuttos can decide who they want as their leader; no non-Bhutto has the right to even comment on that. Just as I would not allow anyone to comment on who I take the head of my caste to be, if he/she is an outsider.
Not just feudals, but also the 'gundas', the industrialists, the police and people from every profession must be into account for the reason of Sindh's position now!
You have said, that you judge the people through their working area. Please tell me, have you ever been to the areas of people that you have talked about?
Do you really think that no good decision or anything comes from the feudal lords, tribal elders?
As for the situation of the province is concerened in Sindh when Sardar Mumtaz Ali Bhutto was in power, I would request you to go through the records thoroughly again of those years.
Thank you! 🙂
Nazia,
There is no rise of Sindh in near future. Not because its mostly Sindhis but because the whole generation of Sindh has been corrupted by hate idealogy. Be it the rural areas or the urban.
They bullshit about the poetry of different sufis, yet when it comes to people of other languages they are 90% racists.
The size of middle class is very minute and even the educated people are effected by hate idealogy. They don't seem to grow out of it. They are just like "Kunwey Kai Mendak", they don't know there is something better than hate, which is called love.
Just read another blog to see the actions of these waderas.
QK
Sindh will rise again Inshallah! We have our sufis living, for us and for the motherland only not for those want to take over it.
Unfortunately, we have enemies within too, who are the hypocrites. But then again, who doesn't?
Sindh will rise again Inshallah, and on it's own. Wish us good, and we will wish you good; we are not letting go of our roots, nobody else should too! 🙂
D2
I am not doing here anything to please or distress others.Just my point of views and it is surely based on my experience living close to those areas or handling people coming from constituencies of such feudal background..I am quite sure that starting from suburb of Hyderabad and then coming towards southern Punjab near Multan such depressing culture of human slavery is quite prominent .
I can give you a tip to judge anything, any person or any area in few hours in first visit. You don't need to go again and again to see the credibility of any body through his her power of words.
Like you go to any house then since entering the house no matter what is their financial status, you can judge the quality of life in this house. If the woman of this house has sense of quality disposition you can see it few hours and that neatness would reflect from a single piece of home to all family members.
Now go to any offices or factory area,From entrance area to production side, the organized ,well mannered management and discipline from lower to higher level arrangement it self tells the difference of mentality of top boss.
Corrupt and weak personality only take care of themselves like self centered woman always take care of herself as compared to her responsibility as caretaker of house.
Go and visit in any areas where your repsectable personalities rule from generations. No proper road, no health and educational facility are remarkbly seen there but if you go to houses of these lords, one could come to shock after seeing the extravaganza living styles of these Royal of Pakistan , surrounded by mud houses of their haris.
So this is part of feudalistic mentality that they look, live and behave differently than the masses whom they want to lead.
Why we say our govt is responsible of giving us failed administration as they themselves take the best for their living, protocols, and working areas?
They emphaised on inputs instead of outputs as their working duty for which they took oath and all state previliges.
Such acts are also reflection of feudalistic mentality to give the left over to lower class and keep them in state of slavery as long as possible.
Respected Nazia
What you are talking about is class-divide and relative poverty. Which unfortunately is prevailent everywhere in Pakistan! Shall we only blame the feudal lords, and excuse the industrialists, bureaucrats, doctors and generals too?
There is a great divide between urban and rural areas, but it has always shrunk whenever the loyal people of this motherland, who have their roots in the urban areas have come into power. See the records, you dont have to believe my statement here.
Do you really think no good comes out of some lords in the rurals areas? Do you really think no good decsions comes out from our 'faislas'?
Who do you think gives the government land for school and hospitals in the villages? My family has given large acres of land for schools, hospitals and play grounds without any cost!
Yes we have black-sheeps in teh system, just like every other system from medical to the judiciary, from the police to the army. It is much more complicated than to sepnd a few days in an area and make conclusions.
I do not have first-hand experience about southeren Punjab and Multan, therefore I will not comment on that! 🙂
Selection of Jinnah as a Muslim leader was a very short term decision of a deprived Muslim community.Early death of him also ceased the approach of people to look for his real weakness as a leader of massive poor community
If they were wise enough or see that being an elite class of India he was surrounded by most of people who favored Pakistan as an opportunists.Poor or haris hardly get any benefit through division of India and Pakistan and if one observe India is going ahead of Pakistan of getting rid of these curses of imperialism and feudalism through their revolutionary land reforms.
In our weak system of governance mostly under military rules this concept of feudalism is multiplied by strengthening it with military touch. Now our generals, bureaucrats and business class also follow the same concept of showing the power through occupying illegitimate land and money beyond their resources.
Right right! Don't you think he was murdered?
Dear Ms. Nazia,
Land Reforms were not only opposed by Feudal Lords. Mullahs also opposed Land Reforms terming it "Anti-Islam"
Islam doesn’t put any limit to the area of land to be owned by an individual [Mas’ ala-e- Milkiat-e- Zamin]; thus no land reforms. The idea of nationalizing the means of productions “fundamentally opposed to the Islamic point of view” [Reference: May 1948; quoted in M. Sarwar, Maulana Maududi ki Tahrik-I-Islami, Lahore, 1956, pp. 331-332]
D2
To which area your family has given land for schools and hospital of poor?
tell me the area and I would conform you point.
I am just telling you my personal experience and applying no cutting pasting techniques to prove my words, other wise our news papers have enough working on it.
My feudal lord written by tehmina durrani is a picture of their real life and yet I dont remember the name of Christana Lamb book on our land lords written in 1980S, all depicts the same thing.
Here I give you latest example of malik riaz a don of this era of Pakistan.
He might be a goon or killer or criminal but his working styles are just like British ruler.
Extra ordinary innovation, good management skills, updated ideas and good care of staff from lowest level to highest executives.A sense of responsible management and respect for all his employees are seen in the management of this low educated MES contractor as soon as you enter in his working area.
Instead of this go to industries of chaudry's sharif or lands of feudal lords like yousuf gillani, faisl salah hayat, Abida hussain bhutto's villages surrounded near Larkana etc .
They all showed the slavery mentality as soon as you step first foot in their ruling areas.
In Landhi or site Karachi area you can visibly seen the difference of multinational companies with local investors through their neat maintenance and safety procedures of their working areas and people.
it is not difference of profits in their earning but difference of mentality and behavior for other lower working communities..
So Sindh is all time ruled by typical families including jatois. bhutto, paghara, arbab rahim etc but day by day they multiplie their wealth and land and all other are still living in status of peasants for a century.
The rural or urban huge gap in our system is also after affect of such mentality as in urban culture as suppressed people feel relax here and start thinking of migration from land of oppressors .
This rural migration as effectors of landlord is again producing catastrophic results in our civic side as incompetency of town planning and city management is not absorbing such unskilled labor class who after not finding an appropriate economic way of survival , go for criminal activities.
So every negative attitude of handling masses always tend to integrated disaster and that is what we are facing these days.
Dear Ms. Nazia,
I wouldn't have quoted Christina Lamb. Human Rights Watch Annual Reports on the Status of Women, Child Abuse, Labour Rights would have been sufficient.
Christina Lamb's book was "Waiting for Allah"
another book is by another author
Breaking the Curfew: A Political Journey through Pakistan

First of all, I will never disclose the exact location for the safety of my family and people. It is also the very reason I am unable to use my real name on public forums.
BUT, if I may suggest, what you can do is go to Sindh archives in Karachi, and go through the records of schools and maderesas in the past. For the present, you can go through the records of the ownership of the land that was given for schools, hospitals and even telephone exchanges. I am sure a very small number of people would have granted it for free, but that should not matter I guess.
I cannot comment about the lords of the areas you have mentioned, as they are of Punjab and I have not been there myself and observed first-hand. And one more thing, I agree with you when it comes to Arbab Rahim; he is one of the black-sheeps we have talked about.
Finally, thank you for acknowledging the fact that even some industrialists, whether agriculturist landlords or not, do what just people isolate feudal lords to do! 🙂
In Landhi or site Karachi area you can visibly seen the difference of multinational companies with local investors through their neat maintenance and safety procedures of their working areas and people. [Nazia]
====================
Dear Ms. Nazia,
I beg to differ because these Multi Nationals don't follow ILO Charter.
Mughul
Who trust these mullahs.
Again the lower class who cant get an opportunity of dignified survivals. These mullahs are interlinked with feudal lords all the time.
Fazal rehman, samiulhag, tahir qadri now all own huge lands which are not family transferred but got as bribe for acknowledging the wrong doings of prevailing rulers under the cover of religious norms.
The comes the generals of Pakistan who are capturing the precious land of Pakistan fo their unseen services. They would also following this trade.
Chak shezad farm houses scandal fully goes to account of Musharraf and his friends who grabbed this fertile land of Pakistan for their personal use.
It was Ch Iftikhar stand that had come in their way and one of reason of throwing him oust from his working area.
So BIRD OF FEATHERS ALWAYS FOLK TOGETHER in our Islamic republic of Pakistan.
sO they are all time united on such acts of treason.
I am comparing between the twos .The implementation of ILO laws are linked with govt policies .
If the govt is sincerely committed to working class people, she would strictly implement active laws of ILO on investors/owners and give benefit of doubts to its labors and working people.
Owner or investors of all countries are only interested in making money through all means but it is check and balance of govt departments to monitor them.
So if these foreign companies skip these laws it is weakness of our system.
I am just comparing that foreign companies here give much better picture of human management as compare to our locals who are mostly relatives and friends of these historical feudal characters of Paksitan.
I can give you name of few good industries like Packages in lahore and Attock oil refinery rawalpindi which are throughout maintaining standard of human values in their business.
So my center point is still linked with above topic that rulers should be recognized through the condition of their constituency , not by their sumptuous living style.
Dear Ms Nazia,
Media supposed to help the down trodden but lately it has been behaving like, read it your self

Mughal
This year as per UN data 3 million people all over the world have been sacked from their active posts without any prior notice.40% employees are from first world countries. So this trend is internationally felt and no doubt in our country which is busy in war games for last 7 years, effects are disastrous .
So owners of all newspapers are also included in business community and they cant run their news business while accounts are showing declined trends.
Even strong democratic countries like UK and this firing/sacking attitude is observed in BBC and British airways like companies.
So again weak governments cant help its working class due to implementation of existing laws and business community become dominant on all laws related to welfare and safety of working class.

No way I am interested in threatening your life and people just for satisfying my inquisitive nature but lets start from here.
You people feel proud of donating your assets for people and state but felt insecure after doing such enormous goodness.
Hakim saeed a known pious man, a philanthropist was killed in the streets of Karachi and still his murders are enlarge.
If you know Karachi history well then can your throw light on the property matters of ex Governor of Karachi Deen mohammed and his influential brothers
Edhi is running one of largest charity network in Pakistan, started from karachi. He two times left PAKISTAN as death threats have been given to him, group attacked his vehicles, robbed many times but still going on his way of virtue.
We dont blame any particular group for all this mess but it is not reflection that feudalistic mentality still exists in urban areas of Sindh.
This mode of depriving people from basic civic facilities is part of our feudal culture which you are trying to negate in last many comments.
Respeted Nazia
Thank you, but please do consider my suggestions. Feudalism is a man made system, that in Sindh exists because of the failure of the law agencies.
Just like any other system, what corrupts it greed for power and misuse of power. Depending on man-to-man and woman-to-woman, it depends on each individual how he/she runs the system.
I have failed to convince you that among the little bad, there is a greater good. You seem to judge all and the whole system by a few, I judge all by the most I have witnessed and observed first-hand.

your all observation and experience shouldn't be challenged at any cost but you should give space to others submission too. We all have to live in man made system and then should find flaws for its betterment. You are not considered as failed messenger of your real point of views but others in this system are also facing multiple experiences of handling human behaviors.
Intelligence agencies only trapped weak and corrupt people and then give them options which indirectly give favors to dictatorships and feudalism.Other wise what is purpose of complicated network of intelligence agencies around our all time ever green politician?
Why I speak against such attitude as they all who get power through gun, land or some spiritual references misuse the sincerity and simplicity of majority people around them. They develop double or triple standards of living, creating huge gap between human beings living on same piece of land and under same sky.
So I think you might be talking for few good example among the vast majority which has been declared as cruel , senseless and sometimes traitors too by any civilized group.
Again I emphasize on my point that one who by grace of God has authoritative position shouldn't misjudge the sincerity and simplicity of people who are linked/dependent on you through some natural or unnatural way. They are not patient of dependent personality disorders but cant share hate and revenge attitude with people whom they trust as intelligent and privileged humans.
This compliance and reliance upon others is sometime a subtle message that someone should assume responsibility of taking care of them as part of their life instead of handling them with abrasive ways.
CJ should dismiss the government: Excellent Suggestion by Saeen Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto. CJ should listen to him. People wonder as to why Bhutto was Murdered when Bhutto had a ‘talented cousin’ like Saeen Mumtaz Ali Bhutto.
