Smuggling of Foreign Exchange Legalized by Nawaz Sharif in 1992

The bread crumbs of flight of money from Pakistan – aka Tax evasion starts from 1992 – during the 1st premiership of Nawaz Sharif. The act passed on 28th July 1992 – stipulates

4. FREEDOM TO BRING, HOLD, SELL AND TAKE OUT FOREIGN CURRENCY:-- All citizens of Pakistan resident in Pakistan or outside Pakistan and all other persons shall be entitled and free to bring, hold, sell, transfer and take out foreign exchange within or out of Pakistan in any form and shall not be required to make a foreign currency declaration at any stage nor shall any one be questioned in regard to the same. (ref link)

No wonder Ayan Ali was mistakenly caught red handed (or not) walking away with $500,000, and is pleading innocent and shall walk away free as a bird

How perfectly scripted – merely by adding only two words — “take out” — in this law it legitmizes the flight of capital from Pakistan to many offshore locations without paying a dime of tax. All scripted / camouflaged under the garb of “for the economic benefit of Pakistan” – confidence building measures to encourage free trade around the world — yeah right

There is NO DOUBT that all mentioned in the Panama Papers in Pakistan need to come clean on if these offshore accounts are legit or ill legal – it starts from them showing the source of the wealth and if the taxes have been paid for the specified income, as the PML media is trying to portray other individuals also being in the list – that does not in anyway absolve the responsibility of the Head of State to come clean on this and show his innocence as and where possible.

Karachiites must support Rangers – to save Karachi

For all Karachiites – its a fact – in the past few months, the cleaning operation by the Rangers has helped us all live & breathe, as previously the Sindh Police under the explicit control of PPP and MQM were jointly helping to dig our graves

So if today MQM for its own interest in protecting its own militants is against the deployment of Rangers in Pakistan, then I think it should be quite clear to all that MQM is AGAINST Karachi and wants to lead this city to catastrophe.

Deja Vu to the 24 MQM MNA’s who signed into law the Pakistan Protection Act last year, enabling our LEA’s all powers to cleanse Pakistan of all militants & terrorists. So if not for anything MQM should blame its own MNA’s for supporting this law.

Karachi must strongly oppose MQM & PPP for the sake of saving Karachi – Karachi must be totally cleaned, no militant should be allowed to survive in any capacity whatsoever, be they belong to any political party whatsoever. – shared by Awab Alvi on Facebook

PM House releases a Fake Image to Coverup the Solar Deal

So the Solar Panel deal (which I mentioned yesterday) makes it to Dawn. Imagine the desperation to cover-up the deal that the PM office released another picture, instead of the signing ceremony of the Solar deal and captioned it as such, in a way trying to showcase it as a project sanctioned by the Norwegian Govt – they showed Nawaz Sharif sitting with the Prime Minster of Norway

Funny part is that this picture has NOTHING to do with the 150MW Solar panel deal – this is a picture from a side discussion from the Education summit – How so? the lady sitting next to PM of Norway is Laila Bokhari who is State Secretary on Women and Education to the Norwegian Government

The 150MW build-own-operate solar deal is a perfect project laden with abundant cuts and commissions – a higher solar energy tariff means we’re all gonna pay through our nose for many many years to come. Scatec Solar, with its local counterpart Nizam Energy (and possibly many others in the pipeline) will make millions times over – its easy for Sharif to sign expensive business deals and transfer the burden back to the Pakistani taxpayer’s – utterly unintelligent economic solutions for Pakistan

Solar energy for all what it may be worth to the environment is still a First World High-risk energy generation investment, not geared up for an economically struggling third world.

Credit to the source from Norway, helping expose this Sharif fiasco

PM Sharif actually in Norway for a Mega Solar Deal

Prime Minister is headed to Norway for an education conference – so important is the education conference that dignitaries from Rawanda, Haiti and Nigeria are attending and the conference is being inaugurated by UN SG Ban Ki Moon and also by Malala – I guess PM is there to applaud the efforts of Malala from the audience, if he’s not there for anything else

The 40+ member delegation which has accompanied the PM shall loiter around and not even bother interacting with any Pakistanis living in Norway

But what the author rightly ask – what’s the “REAL REASON” of the visit – sources say a mega $$$$ solar project deal is on the table – a local sweet talking front company in Islamabad which barely has license to install 10MW project is to bang this lucky draw with a Norwegian company to be one of the Norwegian companies biggest project of their life – funding will be allegedly claimed to be from some ADB source, but reality at the moment is that it’s gonna come squarely out of our (Pakistanis) pockets

Revenge of the ballot – by Fahd Hussain

A must read article by Fahd Hussain, a few extracts

“Some people are just such incurable apologists for elected scoundrels.  It’s really not that complicated. For five long bloody years Karachi groaned under the collective sins of the PPP-MQM-ANP triage. People were killed like flies while criminals flourished like emirs of oily sheikhdoms. Fat cats grew fatter and multiplied like rodents, infesting the nooks and crannies of government and semi-government organisations. And the city went to hell. As did the province.

If the PPP-MQM-ANP triage had honestly wanted to clean up Karachi and Sindh, they could have. They had the mandate; they had the legitimacy; they had the powers and the resources; and they had the time. Yes, five long years of unchecked, undiluted and unadulterated power. But they did not because they were, and are, part of the problem.

So you apologists — wake up and smell the stench of this farce. This mess is not what we deserved; this is not what this country was made for. Hundreds of thousands died and millions were displaced for scoundrels, rascals and swindlers to rule this land into total mayhem? Yes, the military has contributed generously to this mayhem, and yes its leadership in the past has unleashed monsters that ravage this land of ours today; but what do you do now when Sindh is being ruled to ruin and there is no chance of reform under the PPP and the MQM?

“Pillars of Clay” by Fahd Husain

Fahd Husain writes an op-ed in Express Tribune — These two paragraphs are worth reading — “Don’t blame democracy or dictatorship or even the system that remains the same regardless of who is at the top. Blame the fact that we are missing the fundamental element of a representative system: the individual is the foundation

If you wait for this manipulative system to reform itself, you are in for a long wait. If you think these rulers — all of them — will suddenly grow a revolutionary brain, you need to see a shrink. This, my friends, ain’t happening. The increasingly aware citizenry — yes you — will have to make a collective heave to push the fat cats out, and reclaim this glorious nation that the Quaid gave to you — not to them” Read the entire op-ed at ET “Pillars of clay

Where’s my refund, Mr Zardari? – Ali Najib Sidiki

Good to read that Ali Najib Sidiki raising his voice on this issue >> Tribune Blogs >> Where’s my refund, Mr Zardari? >> Ironically it was quoted as the only charity they did claim and it was SZABIST – so one has to wonder where the “rest” of the looted money has disappeared off too. Possibly deep pockets of “Zardari families “own” charitable case” – I guess they deservingly need it the most [?]

Crooks provide Tax Amnesty to each other to help Contest the Elections

Tax Evaders Sharif ZardariPML & MQM have again helped PPP & each other pass the Tax Amnesty Bill – allowing Parliamentarian Tax evaders to get an easy sneak pass ECP into Elections by paying 40,000

“It was almost binned because of opposition from two key political parties, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). But then, according to sources, they softened their stance to appease urban voters, who are expected to be the main beneficiaries”

This has nothing to do with “appeasing urban voters” its a strategy by the MukMuka parties helping their top looters an opportunity to contest the elections and loot us all over again

Be aware – be forewarned – the upcoming 60 days they will polish their shoes and shine their foreheads to look good but deep down they are just the same rotten crooks – PPP – PML-N – MQM – JUI-F – PML-Q – ANP
