Asia 21: Wrap up

Apologies for the delayed report
Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit was a great event to be a part of as it was an opportunity to meet some brilliant people from across the world. The last day of the event started off with a good discussion on the citizen media revolution where five digital journalist shared their experiences on issues of the digital media revolution in the Asia Pacific region.

The panelist included Ujjwal Acharya from Nepal, Enda Nasution of Indonesia, Scarlett Li of China, Lam Oi-Wan of Hong Kong and rounding the group with myself representing Pakistan The Citizens Media Revolution discussion was moderated by Asia 21 Fellow Joshua Ramo. I must admit that the discussion amongst the panelist was really amazing and the questions by the audience really improved the overall discussion as a whole.

Pakistan was represented by four young leaders which included Dr. Donya Aziz an MNA from Islamabad, Syed Mohsin Ahmed from Pakistan Micro-finance Network, Zahid Jamil Barrister-at-Law at Jamil & Jamil Associates and rounding the bunch with myself.

Now upon our return to Pakistan we hope to take that Seoul initiative a little forward by trying to identify more upcoming young leaders in Pakistan and strive as a young dynamic group to change our country for the better, as hope undoubtedly lies within the youth of a nation.

Looking very handsome and regal Dr. Saab!!

The summit and related initiatives seem like a brilliant idea. I hope more such summits happen around the world – hope you continue to be invited to them. So pleased to have you represent Pakistan on such events.

ah nice to see that most of your fans are gushing about how you look instead of what you did there. ๐Ÿ˜€ its a good thing you were one of the representatives for Pakistan. The conference must have been quite mind blowing and provided a lot of insight. I agree with your point about identifying young leaders who can change the nation for the better. We all have it within us to make a change as long as we don’t get sidetracked. All we need now is a positive influence (like you) who can guide us through his positive words or text. We may have it within us but then it will take us time to realize our potential.

I wonder did they invite daughters of mr.bush and kids of mr Hugo Chavez,Ehud Almert and Ahmedin Nijad. Well the question is that do they have kids?

    assalam ualaikum,
Nice to know you attended the Summit. I was fortunate to get an invitation but not only did my parents put their foot down this time, it so happened that my exams were beginning from 18th November :(. Its great to know there was a Pak delegation all the same and that it went really well.
