Before I begin this rant, I must out-rightly condemn all terrorism activities, be it from a ruthless terrorist in India or even in Pakistan wherever there is loss of life it must be condemned regardless of who is suffering The Mumbai attacks were shocking for everyone, for the three days the killers were on rampage killing over 200 innocent lives everyone specially in India was shaken to the core. While we in Pakistan sat watching in earnest prayer hoping that this bad dream would simply go away, we too are sick an tired of these terrorist and truly do not wish this plague to get worse
What followed soon after the dust settled in Mumbai, was an all out aggressive propaganda waged by the Indian Government against Pakistan trying its best to pin the blame on Pakistan. Generally the accusations were based on some scanty evidence that the bureaucracy could muster up in the short few hours, it was for us, as if the entire book of conspiracies were suddenly cracked open by RAW and brought into quick production simply to exploit this disaster for its own gains, all in an attempt to bring Pakistan on its knees and into Indian submission [being a patriot Pakistani, I assure you that will not happen, Indians would agree vice versa if they were in the same spot] To believe that this highly professional group of terrorist could conduct a fully coordinated attack while leaving a blatant bread crumb trail seems too dubious. A team of terrorists hitchhiking a boat ride from Karachi to land smack in the middle of Mumbai and take the city om a target shooting spree, seems all too James Bond’ish. To have a confession by a person allegedly a Pakistani, is definitely a poorly enacted video, as the accent completely defies all dialects spoken anywhere in Pakistan.
But the most funniest is the tale of the Versace dressed terrorist caught on a shooting spree was in my opinion the biggest blunder that the Indians failed to throughly analyze before the finger pointing session started. The so-called Amir Qsaba [if we are to genuinely believe the Indian government to be honest in providing us with the ‘right’ name] would wear an orange armband on his ‘right hand’ while going on a public killing rampage, all Indians must know that this saffron band called Kalava – is worn while performing Hindu rituals like Yajna or Puja. It is tied by a priest on the wrists of all the people attending the prayer ceremony. Kalava is tied on right hand of males and unmarried females, and on left hand of married females. Somehow the evidence is weak, simply to take accept these allegations on a scouts honor given by the Indian government is not going to cut it.
Many Indian’s might hurriedly defend my allegation to say Amir Azam Qsaba used this to distract and throw off the investigators while he was being photographed at the train station, I sincerely doubt the significance of such a small token in this larger plan, if he was so convinced to pin the blame on Pakistan, he could have very well worn a ‘Green and White’ t-shirt with Pakistan plastered right across the front, carried a Muslim skull cap and a foot long beard would have been more too the liking of RAW. So short of all that this saffron band does signify that he was a Hindu and not Amir Azam Qasba etc etc
The above rant was a light hearted poke at what the Indian government bases its entire set of publicly revealed allegations on Pakistan, rest is still under investigation [read is still being cooked up]. I truly believe India has enough extremists within its borders that outside elements don’t need to physically walk in and take them out, likewise Pakistan too has enough problems within its own borders that picking a battle with India is not a wise decision to make but even if the ISI or the terrorists were so committed to hiting out at India then the apparent bread crumb trail is all to suspicious. Do we believe everything the Indian government chooses to say, I dare say NEVER. In that same light would I believe every word my Pakistani government chooses to hit out at India, I also am first to say NO. Its all a game of propaganda played by both sides over the past 60 odd years but lets not have the people fall for this mesmerizing trap so quickly.
The nail clincher by India recently has been to ask the Pakistani government to hand over a number of terrorists have been residing in Pakistan, firstly even if we ever decide to play roll over and play dead, I would first like to try them in our courts before even thinking of handing our people to India. That said, while the Indians are busy contemplating on the Pakistani terrorists please have a look at this list recently compiled by Pakistan to hand over to the Indian, would you please cough up these 35 terrorists living in India in this international exchange program, after all they too are terrorists who killed hundreds of Pakistanis and are now conveniently living in India. A tit-for-tat reaction, sadly yes, We could do this endlessly but if wisdom were to prevail we both could take a gentle step back seize the baseless propaganda, fix our own internal threats and then reinforce our borders to prevent the other side from creating yet another havoc.

Chhota Rajan is now launching terrorist operations in Pakistan from Indian Missions in Kandahar and Jalalabad (Afghanistan) and is head of RAW’s organized Crimes Wing or Special Operations Division (SOD), he is also wanted for killing of Chinese Engineers in Baluchistan and organizing the murder of some Chinese workers near Peshawar

as i wrote on deadpan thoughts, a kalava is ALSO worn by shias and barelvi muslims. i wear one every moharram. its yet another example of how intertwined our cultures are, but no one bothers to realise it.
while the indian conspiracies nailing pakistan are a bit far fetched in some cases, using the kalava as evidence of our innocence sounds a bit contrived, especially after we have been training militants for god knows how long. does that mean pakistanis did it? no, but a kalava also doesn’t absolve us of the blame
@karachi… good point – I agree with you – on the flip side I too cannot trust the ISI / Dawood Ibrahim not to have done it – they could very well be involved – but not directly – its almost the same accusations that fly when a tragedy hits Pakistan – the over arching evidence often suggested RAW involvement – but they are only the manipulators from a distance. Both ISI and RAW have masterminded their art and for them its now easy to have these issue ‘arranged for’ and not be directly involved
What irks me is the finger pointing is uncalled for. India has enough of terrorists that the Pakistan blame with ‘this’ weak set of evidence makes us all sit back and relax to enjoy the show.
They have been stung by the failure of their politicians who are just like ours as they spend more money on protecting themselves rather than ensuring the safety of citizens. It surprises me that their coast guard is so incompetent that they failed to notice that people had sneaked inside their country. Doc you should read about the town the last surviving terrorist supposedly came from. No one in that town had even heard of that guy. It’s so blatantly obvious they want to use this as an excuse to strike back at us. It is also weird that this happened just some time before state polls. I’m an Indian and a Hindu. As a result we have learnt to embrace all human kinds irrespective of their religion, culture and ethnicity hence you find myriad of cultures, religions are nurtured and still surviving without conflicts unless the others dare to taste our nerves.
First and foremost evidence of Hindu magnanimity could be fathomed with very birth of Pakistan and Bangladesh out of Hindu’s exclusive domain called Bharat yet we have allowed some 220 million Muslims to stay back and enjoy best of lives. You have Presidents, Bollywood heros, Cricketers, Supreme Court Judges and many other dignitaries from Muslim and other communities.
We don’t mean harm to any animated or inert objects that’s Hindu Culture. We pay obeisance to Stone, Trees, Animals as a symbol of manifest God. As a result 50 – 60% Hindus are strict vegetarian as opposed to others. We do not preach hatred against anybody and never convert people from any other faith while is not true about Islam and Christanity. Historically they have been invaders, looters and marauders and have spread less love and compassion than our Hinduism and Buddhism.
Hope you agree on this count. What saffron brigades you see nowadays are not actually pro – Hindutva contrary to that it is to be perceived as anti – Islam / Christianity. We as a Hindu don’t relate to these hate brigades by any means.

I am not picking on you Karachilight friend but want to say our culture,Islamic culture is unique and it has certain limitations.I feel isolated in my office parties and evenings out because I do not drink.I take two orange juice glass to accompany my other colleagues(misture of other nations)
and I start to shiver because of freezing cold outside while rest can relax and drink spirits which warms them up.
I feel highly uncomfertable wearing skirts and I am not confident to show around my body ,I am not saying I am pious ,I am saying this is the way I am brought up.
I have to be concious before eating food even salads come with pork bits.
But we are not unique in this.I have met many English women who do not feel comfertable showing their body,wearing low necks or mini skirts.
Also I have come accross many women of different countries who say they cannot handle spirits,wines.So they take one pint only.
I have come accross English men who say they would not drink because they ahve to drive.Many jews eat food as per their religious specifications.
Many people are strictly vegetarians and do not even eat fish and eggs.
Yes we have stupid cultural psuedo psyche incommon with the whole belt of Asia starting from Nepal,Bangladesh,Srilanka ,India upto Pakistan.
Instaed we have more similarities with Iran ,Malaysia,Indonesia,and Arab states.
China is also extremely conservative .Our culture is unique and our heritage and our Islamic traditions give us far more liberty and provides us basis to live our lives as responsible people.
I am extremely proud of my heritage as being Pakistani ,women’s rights and respect which she get as a mother,as a wife,as a daughter and as a woman can only be given in Pakistan.

The blame game between Pakistan and India is not something new, (a) both countries got Kashmir-issue (revenue generator machine) still un-resolved (rozi pe laat na maroo), (b) they have had wars in the past and (c) we are riwayatee hareef, so this blame game will never ever end.
But, there is a very interesting difference in what we Pakistani do with other Pakistanis (as a crowd not as a nation) and blaming/accusing India for! While we are no different than them.
A very weird characteristic of human is to distinguish (to promote) him/her self or his/her group, by portraying the opponent’s negative-points and neglecting his/her own weakness. This characteristic is a band-aid and works on several platforms like politics/media etc, in order to achieve short term benefits.

I still remember my college/university days, where I myself was a witness of similar clashes between APMSO, Jamati, Pakhton SF, People’s Student Federation etc, and sometime those clashes end up with deaths.

No Muslim can think of putting fire over a alive Muslim, as these Hindu have done, right? (a) What is being happening in NWFP? (b) What has happened on 12th May? (c) Why (recently) homes of Pakhtoon/Afghani, put under fire in Karachi? (d) How the shariya application demand turned into death of several people Madrasa Hafsa/Lal-Masjid conspiracy?

Because I happen to be from lahore,with extended family in Kashmir,I have friends from Karachi,from peshawar ,from Quetta ,no one has ever been to these training camps or seen one.
Also during eighties it was bright idea of USA again to train fighters in Afghanistan,so training camps were in Afghanistan ,people who trained there were Afghan Mujahedeen.
The question people of Pakistan have to ask USA is why these AFGHAN MUJAHEDEEN have turned into TERRORISTS now.
People involved in 9/11 were not Pakistanis,all the people in Guantanamobay were caught from Afghanistan or on the border so why are we terrorists?

Like 9/11 a lot of unanswered questions and 24/7 rhetoric, the whole thing sounds like a typical action packed Hollywood (or may be Bollywood) movie where a lot of people senselessly die. These guys get to the shores in rubber boats with weapons, big bags in a city like Mumbai where thousands would be walking around in the streets at 9PM. Part in three groups, one of the groups just happens to fall upon the cop and his good guys (Karkare) who had uncovered the activities of the local version of extremists, shoot the hell out of them. Moving on here, members of the same group or other, according to eye witness account go to Leopold Restaurant. They say to themselves, uhmmm…nice place to do some shooting, but ya know what, let's have a beer and then we will do it, any ways Chacha Rehman said on a mission like this a beer or two is not Haram. The ones that were stuck for three days in Taj even had coke with them, "to keep them awake on this suicide mission", Muslim extremists beer and coke search me! The pattern appears to be the same as 9/11 and 7/7, no hard evidence just 24/7 repetition of the 'official' story. The Faridkot connection also does not appear to pan out. And finally a lot more loose ends like eye witness reports like some of the attackers were 'white', no adequate explanation on how these folks were able to get in when Indian forces were conducting exercises (by the way on 9/11 and 7/7 US and British were also conducting exercises, coincidence…may be) that some of the attackers had stayed as 'guests' at Nariman house…and the list does go on without answers.

Pakistan finally admitted that the terrorist attacks were carried out from their land. The whole world knew it the next day of the attacks, even Pakistan knew it the next day – just that they were not willing to accept. They were in a state of denial but the lone terrorist captured revealed lot many things and ultimately the pakis had to admit to what was planned and executed from their soil.
