In hot news coming in from South Africa where the Pakistan cricket team is in their final preparations for the upcoming Twenty 20 World Cup. Apart from cricketing news it seems two Pakistani fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Asif have made headlines when they have had a war of words in the dressing room leaving some injuries to Asif which were the result of being hit by a bat on the left thigh.
Following the incident Asif was taken for x-rays and was luckily found to have superficial bruising only. If I were Asif my first reaction would be to place this idiot into his right place by suing him for assault. I like many Pakistanis are not surprised to see Shoaib Akhtar making a fuss all over again some how the cricket selectors fail to see the apparent signs of a psychological problems surrounding the fast bowler not recently but can be seen well over two years ago when this blogger categorically discussed this problem

It was in February 2005 that I voiced my concern over Shoaib and a year and half later I can say, I was correct
My opinion on this Heart-throb is that he has an over inflated ego with a major Psychosocial issue and he needs to be placed in the right trash-can once healed he should be allowed to resume his bowling, and if by that time we already might have found a new crop of fast bowlers. I have no idea why the BCCP is stuck with this player, he does sometimes get wickets but I feel he is more of a liability than an asset he should be sacked.
Cricinfo news reports writes
Ahsan Malik, the board spokesman currently traveling with the team, confirmed to Cricinfo that an incident had taken place though refused to expand on the details. “There was an incident between Shoaib and Asif in the dressing room soon after practice today. I cannot give any details on the matter. Asif has a bruise on his left thigh but he has had X-rays and has been cleared. He is fine as far as I am aware.
“The team management is carrying out an investigation into the matter and the results are expected tomorrow. We cannot say anything right now about sending players back or replacements,” Malik added.
Whatever the actual detail of the matter, it is likely to have serious repercussions for Shoaib, who is already on probation for a disciplinary breach last month. He was fined for leaving a training camp in Karachi without seeking permission last month, but after two hearings the penalty was suspended and the bowler placed on a six-week probationary period.
My argument has been since long been to get rid of Shoaib Akhtar as he remains more of liability than an asset for the cricket team. Its time to show him the exit door, he deserves a far embarrassing walk on the plank far worse than how PCB mangled Inzamam’s case.

he’s just a loose gun i must say and if he cannot be fixed , i guess we should get rid of him for better.
Shoaib is no more able to play good games. He thinks that that Asif has taken up his place and all that is actually an a ct of jealousy.
What a retard! he’s not only a negative influence on the team, but also on the youth who idolize him. he should’ve been kicked out a long time ago!
Shoaib is a loooooseeeee idiot. PCB should have decided some 1000 years back if they can tolerate his attitude or not. He is a spoiled brat who was pampered too much in his early days. He is not for the Gentlemen’s game and doesn’t deserve cricket even with his talent.
Kick him out, will anyone?
maybe it wasnt his fault…we never know…
what an idiot, he has been at it since we know him,
he is history after this. What a waste………
Oh god~ they’re still there in the team and that is what pisses me off~~~ Why so much attitude from Shoaib when he is just a signature away from being permanently fired?
Where is Dr. Sahab now?
I still remember his brag when he was leaving for RSA for ’03 WC. he brag ufff meri tobah. he said I’ll get rid of both sachin n dravid in my 1st over..lo what a mess what an inning lil master showed against him 98 what a sordid sixer on his face yet he aint learning lesson from it
he is damn ass.he seems psycho and he has a large ego inside him.he had messed with every1 including Javed Miandad and he is the one who took biggest part of JM sacking from coach after pak loses home series against arch-rival india 3-2 at home..i didnt find JM fault in that series…
he demoralize entire pak team and nation 1st for his bragging 2nd for his sordid behavior for others he shouldn’t be consider for any foam of cricket..ban for lifetime
You never know what the truth is. Reporters have their own biases.
no doubt shoib is the best gun and is the beauty of this beatifull game. everybody really love this guy`s bowling style.he has aggresion, speed, counter attack and more enterstingly we all love his run-up… wow
but at the same time this guy is really teasing everybody wid his controversies all over the world
i think he was mishandled by the PCB, everytime they fine him, PCB give him another chance
he should be punished for his act, but at the same time asif should be… as he is the part of this horrible accident
as asif is the junior, i dont allow any junior guy to have such a joke wid a senior buddy by knowing that he is so aggresive.
dude i am going to talk behalf of everyone that i know, we have been waiting for his return and i though shoaib bhaii finally got his act together… but we were all wronged by him again. man i love that guy as a player and as a brother to him in islam i wana tell him not to mess up his career and be humble be humble be humble… to be honest he owe’s apology to the whole nation and being a bad role model for the young kids…. please someone fwd to him if u know him
arrogance has turned him into a monster. what excuse will he have next? maybe he will claim that he was high when he hit him or blame voodoo. dickhead.
he is mentaly sick man,
he was suppose to be kicked off. but now he shuld not have any place in team………..
rubbish, he is sick and disturbing other with his mind……….PCB should take serious action against him..he dont deserve what nation is giving him…
he is sick minded man.. PCB should kick him out as he is spoiling other minds in team also..Pakistan has much better player in country than him.
Mad man…churs pe pe kar dimagh kharab ho chuka hay es ka………Psycho man..
Es ko bull fighting main Pakistan use karay coz he has bull mind.
lets face the facts. Shoaib has won pakistan loads of matches and has always been a great asset to the team. His behaviour and arrogance is not tolerable, but he does have the edge that makes pakistan win matches. So what do you choose? talent or arrogance? maybe putting up with him is a small price to pay if we want to win matches…but pak team really needs to get together and work with their coaches, coz i see absolytely no bond between the coaches and the players
what i find most sad is that it was indeed his ego that fuelled his anger.
‘Sources said the fight between the two started after Asif and Shahid Afridi disagreed with Shoaib that he shared the same stature as Imran Khan in Pakistan cricket and even ridiculed him for making such a comparison.’
A true (sports)man would rise above the taunts or in this case disagreements and not resort to this sort of physical violence with the use of bats and the like.
He is out of control and in this instance indeed his temper is a liability not only to other players, pakistani cricket but to himself.
He seems to invariably be always embroiled in some fiasco whether it be drugs clubs girls violence or any other temptations involving vanity and lust. there are no excuse for this.
he needs some real discipline and guidance not some slap on the hand ban and sent home with tail between legs.
that is not holistic solution only temporary. and as time is telling, this kind of behaviour it seems will inevitably repeat itself.
there needs to be some proper structure to resolve his behavioural problems. some real hope of rehabilitation. hopefully the PCB will look into councilling with elders.
allah’s messenger (pbuh) can show him the path, it is up to him to take it though. not this continuously drifting further and further away from the road of good virtue. he needs a good shove with a PCB wielded bat in the *right* direction.
in saying this, i am not an expert on the regearing of lost players. i cannot give suggestions on how the PCB should play the ‘stroke’. but it is clearly evident through the annals of time that their current ‘solutions’ aren’t solving anything!
they should look for answers from the all-knowing.
and although there is a raft of exciting players coming through we should not give up on him.
he is one of us, a man. (and a very talented cricketer indeed). but he is currently lost in the darkness without his divine torch.
we need to help him find his torch and harness his immense talent and speed, unmurked by moral ineptitude.
I think he is an asset to pak when he’s fit but his behaviour is intolerable. He’s been given numerous chances but has failed every time. i think now he should finally be sacked.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm……
he is but not much….
as u think…
actually problem arises when we dos’t pay any attention to a growing person.
Sa’adiya, there are many things to say,… and nothing to discuss..
