Elections can be Delayed by a Year – Shaukat Aziz

Dawn News reported today a statement by Prime Minster Shaukat Aziz

Parliament can delay elections for a year: PM Shaukat Aziz ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (AFP): Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said Sunday that parliament is entitled to delay elections for a year under a state of emergency, but added that the government had not yet made a decision. “There could be some timing difference on the election schedule but we have not decided yet, Aziz told reporters when asked about general elections that were due in January. “We are still deliberating. In an emergency the parliament could give itself one year, he said.

In all honesty with the entire opposition rounded up do the elections actually matter, for all we care they can have snap mock nominations today and PML-Q will take a lead in Punjab, Maulan Diesel taking over NWFP, PPP front runner in Sindh and MQM wipes Karachi and Hyderabad.

Heck save the national exchequer some hard cash and just announce them as you feel fit. We are pissing in our pants worrying about restoration of our fundamental rights and that idiot short-cut brain-fart is talking about elections. *fore-arm Jerk* (R-rated proceed with caution)
