This rumor report has been submitted by a credible source, naturally more investigation is still needed
Last night at a wedding a very senior government officer narrated to me a strange story.
He said that he has seen a Supreme Court document, which is a decision on the application of ASP Shahid Hayat who was one of the accused in the Murtaza Bhutto case. His application to the Court filed on July 6th stated that he was an accused in the murder of Murtaza Bhutto and was suspended for two years. Therefore besides claiming benefits for the missing years (he was paid his emoluments) he requested that his service may be extended beyond the age of retirement for two years also.
The Dogar Court under the unofficial direction of Mr Zardari has given the decision in favor of ASP Shahid Hayat on July 13th that is within 7 days of his application. My source says that the decision was given (not announced) with instructions that it should not be released to the media. He says he has read the decision which was brought to him by another officer who is going to plead his case along the same lines (basically loss of income…..not salary but all those under the counter benefits)
I have no way of confirming this yet but am circulating this with the request that people stretch their antennas and look for some confirmation from other sources.

Scandalous judgments by a scandalised court with no regard to rule of law or law of limitation. Why is this court not publishing its orders.
Someone make a request under freedom of information ordinance 2002 to get order
All the officers involved in the Murtaza Bhutto murder case are being adjusted. This love for Bhutto is only a sham. He has got a chance to mint more money. But I do not blame Asif Zardari. It is the people of Pakistan who are to blame. It is the so called intelligentisia of the society who are to blame for it.
The most popular saying is that zardari himself killed murtuza, here to the fact that murtuzas mother wakes up from her sleep and shouts zardari you killed my son! She is then sedated back to sleep.
Why wouldn't zardari take care of these people who have made him who he is today– the peoples popular inelected king of Pakistan- all the power, none of the accountability!
Yes it is the Pakistanis who elected PPP….Everyone knew who was Asif Zardari…..acha hua ab bhugtu……bewakoofi mae aaker jahilon ko vote dae dia…
Demotix- The Citizen Wire
Dear Teeth Maestro,
You’re site is fantastic. We hope you might see a cross over with what we’re launching!
Demotix is a website for user-generated news, and a citizen ‘wire’ service. Think of it like Flickr or YouTube, but only for original photo/video news. You tell us what is going on, we tell the worldwide web and the world’s mainstream media. As of now, http://www.demotix.com is live.
Why are we doing it?
We believe citizen journalism – well-managed – can be a tremendous force in political participation, civil society, and freedom of speech around the world. And we believe the media needs rescuing.
• Only four US newspapers have foreign news desks (the NY Times, LA Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal), and there are only 141 US foreign correspondents currently working today (in print and broadcast media)
• In the UK, a 2006 study of the broadsheets showed that more than 50% of the news was directly attributable to press releases
• The world’s media (over 90%) relies on the wire services – the Associated Press and Reuters – for their news. But some 80 countries, or 40% of the world’s nations, have no bureau from either agency.
The news is shrinking daily. We hope Demotix can plug that gap, and more.
We hope to be giving a megaphone to the man and woman in the street with a story to tell. We hope to be able to change the news map – bringing real, raw, original information from countries and about issues the mainstream media haven’t touched in years.
Eventually we hope that Demotix will be THE place where anyone in the world can go, in safety, to upload news – major, minor, local, cultural, political, social… We already have agreements with the Daily Telegraph, Newsweek, La Repubblica, Prospect and others – and will now supply them with a daily wire and picture feed of ‘citizen’ news. We have also built partnerships with Amnesty, Reporters Sans Frontieres, Witness and many others.
But we need your help. We want to do in pictures/video what you do for text. If you think there is a cross-over and you like us, please write about us, link to us, spread the news. We’re nothing without contributors, and your readers are exactly whom we want to be reaching out to. We can get their news out to the world, and in the process change what news is reported. And we’ll charge the mainstream media for anything they use, splitting the fees 50:50 with our contributors.
Please be in touch! Are there other ways we might collaborate?
With all thanks
Turi

I will not doubt the story for a moment. A somewhat related story reported by Bolta Pakistan on Aaj TV was that that guy police guy Dr. Suddle filed a case for extension of his retirement age stating he should be granted three years extra as he was suspended “illegally” for those years and so he was not able to serve when he had a right to. Well his argument was accepted by the court and his retirement postponed. This, according to Bolta Pakistan, has opened the floodgates and every suspended-because-of-corruption government employee has filed petition in court using the Suddle case as a precedence and they are being allowed back in!…
Let see what democracy does.
