Ansar Abbasi in his article in The News today reveals a very alarming discovery concerning the daughter of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Abdul Hameed Dogar.. Farah Hameed Dogar had recently appeared in the FSc Exams [12 grade] and when in August the results were announced she had barely passed with 640 marks placing her in Grade ‘C’. The low grade actually then prevents her from applying into the much sought after Medical colleges in Punjab. But after some underhanded effort she was able to get her mark sheet re-issued at 661 marks making her reach the new Grade ‘B’ and hence forth making her eligible to apply to any Medical college in the province
On 20th & later again on 29th August, Farah applied to the examination board for a ‘re-tabulation’ of her marks, which is the only possile solution before physically reappearing for another exam. The examination department re-calculates the marks in an attempt to figure out any discrepancy in the addition of the mark, but the papers are never re-evaluated. The re-checking helped Farah increase her grand total by only one mere mark landing her at 641
After having exhausted all permissible means to increase the grade it seems she thence forth received a helping hand for the Board chairman who some how managed to have examiners re-examine her paper and that process help nudge her into the Grade B situation.
The News 25th Nov 2008: On September 10, 2008 Chairman of the Board, Commodore Shamshad wrote on the file: “Pl. have the answer books of this candidate re-assessed.” This was a clear violation of the FBISE rules but following the chairman’s written orders, the concerned officials complied and it was noted on the file: “Special arrangement may please be made, as directed by the chairman.”
The fast forward process set in. Examiners who had originally checked her papers were summoned and asked to re-mark the papers. The examiner of Biology wrote: “Re-checked and marks awarded are strictly according to the (original) marking scheme. However, in Q No 4, 01 mark has been increased due to error in total, which is now 12 out of 13. So the total marks are now 70 (seventy only).”
The examiner of Pak-Studies wrote: “Rechecked and marks awarded are found up to the mark and found according to the marking scheme. No more mark can be awarded.”The examiner of Chemistry wrote: “Paper rechecked and marks awarded are up to the mark and no more marks can be awarded.”
However, the documents reveal, that on September 13, the examiner of English paper Munir Hussain Anjum of F G College for Men, H-9 Islamabad, reassessed the paper and increased the marks from the previous 58 to 67; the examiner of Urdu paper Dr Ale-Azhaur Aanis of F G Sir Syed College Rawalpindi reassessed the paper and increased the marks from the previous 62 to 67; and the examiner of Physics paper Ejaz Ahmad in his re-assessment increased the marks from the previous 32 to the pre sent 38.
After this extraordinary addition of numbers after re-marking, the file moved upward from one desk to the higher desk and reached the chairman’s office for approval. The recommendation for the chairman was: “Due to above change, marks have been enhanced and result position will be of 661 marks instead of previous 640 marks. The case is forwarded for consideration marks and having approval of enhancement of marks from 640 to 661 in relaxation of existing rules (Vol-II) as directed, please.”
The question that must be asked, is this truly the only efficient use of the office of Chief Justice of Pakistan. Whatever happened to Justice as expected from a Chief Justice of Pakistan!!

1) how dumb is she? she couldn’t even secure even 640 by herself and needed her bashtard little daddy to help her? if I remember the FSc system, getting 640 wasn’t difficult. I remember most of the kids in my school used to score above 800… she must be extraordinarily retarded.
2) we’ve established that she is a retard. now, to compensate for her lack of mental ability, is she at least hot? if she is, that would temper the blow.

We all in some or other way involve in these activities even in form or cheating (pharas) then why only that girl should be belame.. What your previous Justice Sahib did with his son?? petrol bills?? Mr. Zaki Khalid and Mr. Arshad H. Zubairi it is much easier for you people to just write a comment instead of understanding the problem. The problem is by any means and according to the laws defined by these Examination Boards it is not allowed to REMARK an answer sheet once it has been marked, only RECOUNTING of marks are allowed. Marks once given can only be changed by reappearing in exams. And fortunately or unfortunately answer copies of Miss Farah H Dogar were REMARKED here which is in total violation of LAW. Our patron of law, our SUPEREME JUDGE SHAIB should be aware of these laws!!! For the time being Justice Iftikhar is history for this nation… And please if you are fond of commenting then kindly tell me is the post of Chief Justice made for this nation just for personal benefits that whoever occupies this seat works for his own benefits???

I still remember that when I was doing my Fsc. Pre. Engr. I had below average marks ( due to my other interest at the time) and I ran from pillar to post to get them increased but of no vail. Eventually I had to write SAT and come to US to do my Engineering.
I don’t think increasing one’s marks is that easy for an average citizen. And I am glad that all of my means to get them increased failed. Today, I can count my self as a top achiever in my firm’s Engineering department.
Every One needs to learn from their failures, I am not sure If Ms. Farah Dogar will become a better Doctor with a ‘safarish’.

Wrong is wrong no matter it is done by anyone. However the allegation against Arsalan Chaudhry couldn’t be proved. It was the misstatement of Naeem Bukhari who himself is very controversial man. There is no need to mention the basis of his enmity with Nawaz Shareef and friendship with Musharraf.

This is how some people can befool the public.
First of all, the image in the begining of the post is NOT AT ALL a FBISE mark sheet. I did FSc from FBISE and the mark sheet is WAY different. The image is NOT scanned (as it is clear)and is clearly edited. I don’t know why some people try to befool people in this age of computers. Even a 12 years old child can make a better “mark sheet” on a computer than this one.
Secondly, if Dogar is THAT influential, why he couldn’t arrange the question paper before exam…an allegedly common practice by people who enjoy some influence.

I think he and her daughter should be tried in the court of justice and shamed publicly for practicing their right of getting papers rechecked.
On the other hand, the CJ should himself resign on his daughter getting B-grade even AFTER correction!!! I am not degrading the B-Grade but from a highly literate background, one expects a little more.

I just wanted to comment on this recent wave of exposing the kids of members of the govt. and the ruling establishment. while i think putting up private pictures of the sons and daughters of govt. officials is a pretty distasteful and disgusting act. i think that this latest news item suggests that the knives are out for everyone who is part of the ruling clique and is part of a systematic campaign to bring down this current govt. by exploiting every minor loophole and folly of theirs!!
nevertheless this news item does suggest that there is a healthy trend prevalent in the media today of standing up to and exposing injustice!

Probablistically, he numbers have been increased to meet
her need for admission rather than being a re assesment.
– Dogar obtained 8 million dollar loan after becoming the Chief Justice.
– Dogar committed high treason by supporting Musharraf’s PCO and taking oath under it.
– Dogar put his daughter above the law and violated the rights of millions of Pakistani children.
Dogar should be tried for his crimes.
well,fbise has cleared this case that actually 201 students were granted the changed marks after rechecking .
This is one of the living examples picked it up by Ansar Abbasi so openly – perhaps thousand may be unearthed when this DOGAR SHAHI COURT be removed?
As the Head of State is corrupt as certfied by NRO 2007-08, most of the Ministers are corrupt? How these CORRUPT JUNTA expect others to work SELFLESSLY without getting self-benefit when all are just benefiting in their own way ? Some one has got High Post for his Father? Some gets beneifts for her daughter? Some hired daughter of a corrupt beureaucrat as an Advisor? Most Corrupt fugitive becomes Security Advisor? What else you expect?
Nothing more than such nonsense act.
Apart from moral and legal problems this issue raises, I can’t help but contemplate the future of Ms. Farah. She got 58/100 in Biology I, 48/100 in Chemistry I and 43/100 in Physics I. Most of parents would want their kids re-appear to improve their marks if they want to pursue highly competitive and hard-working degree such as Medical. Where would this lead Ms. Farah? Why is she even trying to get a degree in Medical Profession when it’s all clear she’s hopelessly average. Of course anyone with terribly average marks CAN appear and get a degree of Medical if he/she so desires but I doubt if Ms. Farah wants to sit in an average medical college, pass with an average degree and serve Tando Adam’s villages or something.
What if she DOES NOT want this degree at all like many many episodes everyone, I am sure, have seen in this country where Parents make the choices. How terrible the cost of shame would she NOW have to pay for a choice she NEVER made. What horrible decision of increasing mere one mark and putting a blot and a big question mark on one’s life and actions.
I feel so proud of my parents more than ever. I was pretty average in certain subjects I never was forced to pursue any further and luckily found a profession which I just love and respected for what I do. I hope Ms. Farah sees the wisdom of not following lost dreams and wrong paths. She doesn’t have to. She doesn’t have to bear the consequences of her father’s actions or ill-actions. She has the choice and freedom to decide what she wants however small and un-commercial that professional may be as long as she sleeps with satisfaction.

Dogar is a true Chief Injustice of Pakistan.
Let us give the man benefit of doubt. What if he is just like our beloved PM Gilani who’s good name is being misused by either her sister or some one claiming to be her sister. Perhaps Mrs. Dogar is looking after her child in a overwhelming maternal fit. Mr. Dogar might not even know as he is busy meting justice.
Given all that, let us be prudent and empathetic, Mr. Dogar should announce that it was totally wrong of who ever initiated this on his behalf, the chairman of the board, the teachers who increased marks and send show cause notices to all parties involved for bringing his name to shame.
Then he should step down as chief justice as would happen in any society.
By the way, as an after thought: Chief justices of the western countries do not wash their behinds after doing their business, but they would still step down unlike our clean-behind Mr. Dogar.

CJ’s daughter is neither the first person to get her marks improved after rechecking nor the last. He just followed a procedure that is there for decades. If it is proven that he used unfair means to get the marks improved and didn’t deserve that, I will be on your side.
I said I am ready to condemn LOUD AND CLEAR, if everyone joins me to condemn loud and clear to every atrocity done against Urdu speaking community over several years. For example, I do not stand with Ch. Iftikhar’s stand for the missing people because he never included dozens of MQM workers and other people who were arrested and later made to disappear after operation against MQM in 90’s. His stand is ONLY for political gains and he does not have any true sympathy for them, that is why he never spoke about Aafia Siddiqui while winning medals and awards right at the doorsteps of her captivity. Iftikhar is just a political player, nothing more.

I haven't defended Dogar, neither I WILL, neither I CAN.
And many ppl here dont notice the aspect I'm trying to clear. Come to Lhr and see for yourself… I myself gave exams through BISE Lahore (recently did Fsc. Pre Engring, now Software Engg).
I used to tutor at an academy in johar town… 3 of my students got low marks. I told them to get their papers rechecked. They did. And the BISE LAHORE STAFF THEMSELVES ADMITTED TO THEIR ERRORS AND GAVE THEM THE TRUE MARKS THEY DESERVED.
The pt. here is, it's stupid to say that RECHECKING and REMARKING are different things… it's very simple… u get low marks, if u want, get the papers rechecked. ONLY IF there were errors in ur marking, ull get more grades (which u deserve). I gave the example of my younger brother. He said several times : "Zaki bhai, I'm 100% sure that I can't get that low marks in Maths". I took him to the BISE Lahore office. I saw his paper and except for 3 multiple choice questions and 1 part of a long question, his paper was correct. the management apologised and awarded him his deserving marks. the system here ain't THAT corrupt, u guys have become TOO paranoid…
