FAST Relief – urges for Immediate help in Baluchistan

The early morning of 29th October marks yet another tragedy in Pakistan mainly in the vicinity of Zairat, Baluchistan where a masive earthquake of 6.2 intensity shook the earth. The death count after approximately 24 hours stands roughly around 175 dead while there are thousands injured. A large number of relief agencies have rushed to the area to help in the relief.

FAST University in Karachi quickly came into action to setup a FAST Relief program urging volunteers to quickly collect the following items

  2. Sugar
  3. Flour (Atta)
  4. Onions
  5. Potatoes
  6. Cooking oil
  7. Tea
  8. Milk (tetra packs or powder)
  9. Safe drinking water
  10. Cooked Food


  1. Water purification tablets
  2. Life saving drugs
  3. Vaccines for malaria, cholera, typhoid, influenza
  4. Pain killers including strong ones like morphine derivatives, tremadol, pethadine, kinz
  5. Antibiotics e.g. tetnus, amoxil, gentamycin
  6. IV cannulas
  7. IV Drip sets
  8. IV drips: normal saline, ringerlactate
  9. Local anesthetics (injections)
  10. Cotton bandages, cotton
  11. Surgical instruments: e.g needle holders, forceps, tweezers
  12. Suturing materials, Skin staples

Clothing and Warmers

  1. Blankets/quilts
  2. Beddings
  3. Sweaters
  4. Shoes
  5. Rain coats


  1. Jerricans (large plastic cans that hold 20 liters of water or other liquids)
  2. Crockery
  3. Buckets

  3. Dettol (antibacterial cleaners)
  4. Towels
  5. Sanitary Towels

    This is the God-gift to AZ on his presidency. He announce 50 thousands each for injured which is meager amount for their forun tours millions of dollar they do spend and public only get meager 50thns to 1 lack only.
